At the end of it all are the DLCs worth buying?
I have Shale and the Blood Dragon Armor (but that's because they came for free with the game). Are Witch Hunt and some of the others really worth buying?
I want to play them but I don't exactly want to pay for them haha.

If you want to know the backstory for Leliana then you should totally get her DLC it is awesome, but I have yet to try Witchhunt. Also the Return to Ostagar one is good, it allows you to go back to a now VERY infested darkspawn area to get King Calains armor, weapon, and shield. Also get Duncans stuff as well, along with another chance to get the mabari hound.

darkspawn chronicles is my favorite, you get to attack denerim as a hurlock vanguard.

I'd say golem is the worst...it's presented as hard...it's easy...what is hard is just not giving up on the endless tunnel after tunnel...meh...
Leliana is a REAL good dlc.
Return to ostagar is very nice...
well, to start with it all depends...you want to use your character?
You want to use your original crew? (Awakening is the superior one, but do we count that as a dlc?)
Some people don't love darkspawn cause you don't go on with your character...
Witch hunt should bring a certain closure, which it doesn't...well, it only do if you have a male who had a romance with Morigan and who still has the ring (hint)
if not, it is just a way to get you to want to see the second game more since leneth will have a big role in it...

First of all what is a DLC and second of all I have awakening and I love it but you cannot interact with the characters as much.

DLC are small add on, usually not available on another form than download (downloadable content...dlc) they often pops a few on a dvd and sell hem, or add hem on some game package in game of the years or ultimate edition 1 or 2 years later... Awakening was too big to be called a dlc since it could easily stand as a game on it's own

I played Witch Hunt.... hmm that was fairly pointless. I know it's more for the male characters but still. It barely answered anything. I was only happy to see the mirrors again. Since my first character was a Dalish Elf I started right off the bat with that mirror and I had found it odd how they never spoke of it again. So for Witch Hunt to put some clarification on what they are was pretty neat...but that's about it haha

I really love the DLC.
I got it all working on my first character but then when i made me second it all went haywire and i haven't been able to fix it since which is really annoying considering how much i spent on the DLC! D:
But i can't get the Shale expansion nor Blood dragon armor to work.. x.x"
Though everything else works fine.
CURSES YOU EVIL MAC.
But yes i really love all the DLC.
I'd have to say my favorite DLC is Lelianna's song, Though i hate Lelianna i love her expansion... xD

Now I have Witch hunter Lelianna's Song and Darkspawn chronicles along with soldiers peak and Cailan's armor. Honestly. Lelianna's was the only worth buying. Witch hunt pissed me off to no end. I wish you could have seen the child(if you were a male your son) and hear more of the point behind the ritual that Morrigan and her mother had. Then again I have to have a deep story to every character in an RPG cause that is the point of characters you travel with.
Is Awakening worth getting?

It's been a while since I've played anything Dragon Age, since I'm busy on other games and patiently waiting for Dragon Age 3. I remember Oghren comes back as a party member. You learn how Anders becomes a Grey Warden, and how he and Justice became one person. To be completely honest my memory on it is pretty blurry but that's all I can remember, I liked it though. Plus, I don't want to give any spoilers on the rest of the story either. The only thing I haven't tried yet, is start a whole new game, do everything I can... Play awakening with that character... And have all the written history in one file, and then import it into Dragon Age 2, and see if any certain results from Awakening will import into Dragon Age 2. I'm on PS3 btw, I only know something like that can work on the PC.

Honestly I bought the feastday combo and witch hunt dlc and feast day is basically used only if you want to piss off or become friends with your party members. Witch Hunt was okay but a little short for my tastes.

i bought the ult DA for like 9 bucks at game stop it comes with ALL dlc and awakening see if you can find it then you can sell our other copy and it wond cost as much as buying the dlc
