Well Rogue...I must say, I saw it last night...and it was fabulous.
If you like the first, then the second is going to blow you away. LITERALLY! Watch out for the helicopter. That is all I can say...
gore is intense...but if it were less I think i might be disappointed. Not that I'm obsessed with gore...but in a vampire/lycan war, come on. it is expected.
so.
fans, friends, go see it.
it's fabulous.

I thought the movie was great. They did a much better job portraying the Lycans. I should warn you that there are two sex scenes, so don't see it with your parents or anyone who would giggle (including me). That is unless you enjoy awkward moments.

Selene seriously... amazing. it is probably a good thing that her and len wiseman(thedirector) hooked up(gotmarried). he does a great job with the camera shots of his wife.....

I think we got more gore than story in this one, but it's a middle part, so that is to be expected.

The gore was fantastic, and i was probably the only girl in the theatre that laughed at the helicopter....of course i had to cover my bf's eyes during the sex scene because..well.....i cant compete with that....v.v
on a scale of 1 to 10....i give it an 11.....^^

I saw it on the day it had come out, and it was a lot better than I expected it to be, and I had set myself on the belief it was going to be great.
It was beyond great.
Enhanced graphics means little today... I mean... look at the new Star Wars for example.... better graphics.... horrible acting.... *cough couch* Anakin *cough cough*
But the graphics were much better, seeing as it is newer, and they kept the plot. That means they are uber cool in my book.
And yes.
I love gore too. twisted

Loved all except the end where it leaves just hanging without any hints on what is going to happen or if there is a third. Also there was alot of loose ends in the movie like what exactly did the Corvinus blood do to Selene did it make her human, a day walker, a immortal like Alexander etc.

It hints at a third if they want it...and remember..there was a sex scene. and i doubt he just happened to have a condemn...and babies...babies are possibilties here...because if we look to the first, Lucian and Viktor's daughter were lovers...and Viktor killed his own daughter because she was carrying a child of Lucian's.
Selene is already an immortal. and she probably isn't human again..
you wouldn't think...

I said immortal I meant like Alexander. He is neither vampire nor lycan but still he gained strength and enhanced abilities with age like the vampires and lycans. Selene points this out when she states that Alexander was stronger than Marcus and could have killed him or stopped him but he didnt because Marcus was his son. Did Selene become this type of immortal. Also I saw somewhere that a question was pointed out that really is from both movies.
Micheal was a lycan before he got changed into a hybrid making him a lycan hybrid we see this in his appearance when he changes.
Marcus was already a vampire when he changed into a hybrid making him a vampire hyrbid we also can tell this by his appearance.
So what would an actually vampire/lycan hybrid look like, they had the right idea in the first one of combining lycan blood with vampire blood then injecting it into a Corvinus that was neither vampire nor lycan.
Also if this is a correct way of thinking then the baby (if Selene is pregnant) would come from a hybrid and a vampire (not to mention whatever Selene might have been turned into) so It would be like a hybrid hybrid.
I mean lycan hybrid semen+ vampire egg= ??????
I could figure this out if it wasnt so late and I had a peice of paper and pencil. It is genetics I would need a Punnett Square. Hmmm might have to look into this.

I'm not going to lie...I absolutely loved the movie. The gore was needed, its a vampire/lycan movie for goodness sakes...but I don't think it was overdone. It was just the right amount....
The end brought out a great possibility for another...and i believe the point is that we don't know what is going to happen. And maybe the baby would turn out to be human? The virus that they make it out to be might not be carried through..
but the odd question is...
In the first Selene bites Michael when he is almost completely a lycan...she said no one has ever survived a bite from both species...well wouldn't the lycan virus go through her and kill her ...if it is transfered through bite it is through blood as well..
and in the second there is a scene where she opens her own arm and lets him drink from her...i get that he is already both, but his saliva would be all up in that blood...and its by bite that changes them...
wouldn't she change species?

Sex, blood, guts and what the ******** is he still living for. It seemed all the producers wanted to do, was show the leather clad whore get bashed about a bit, before getting saved by someone who shouldn't even be walking. So he's special, yeah. I know that. But some onnnnnn, since when was it good when people came back to life in movies? =/
The Lycans disgusted me. The Vampires looked kickass, so why the hell did the Lycans look like men in rubber masks? Even the 'first' Lycan looked like something out of Dog Soldiers. They made Lycans look awesome in Van Helsing, so wtf happened here?
If the storyline actually stuck loosely to the first targetted audience, I believe the film may have been better. But oh no! 18! Blood, fighting, sex and... -.-;. Yeah. I hated that movie. I hated the first one to an extent, since the Vampires were so sexed up and the Lycans were dirty old men. Vampires are not like that. Now we get influxes of n00bs wanting to be uber and brought back to life while wearing a leather cat suit.

And while I'm thinking on this track - like someone stated, the saliva would do something to her. Normally, Vampires can't have sex, because their bodies are dead. The fact that a Lycan can pass the Lycanthrophic cells through sex too, just ******** up the whole film. She's not a special Vampire at first when the sex scene first runs on, so she should be changed. Movie researchers can't even research right. And don't you dare tell me he used a condom, it was in a portacabin for chuffs sake!
