small spoiler and for return to ostagar I guess but none really I mean, ok, we can most likely say he is dead... But really? No body in ostagar... Both his weapons... We see EVERYONE who is killed die or get the big bleeding effect, yet it cuts before Duncan gets...err...cuts... I so expected that they would play us the "Mentor who survived" card...think he will reappears in the second game? (since DLC is done with witch hunt for the first game)

That is a fair question. I think he's dead, though his death was a disappointment since he had such a "high and mighty" feeling about him. It would be interesting if he appeared in DA2, though I really doubt it will happen; his job is done and he's served his purpose in the first game.

I was sad but then he was nearing the age where he either died in combat in the war or went into the deep roads
At least he got to die a warrior death TwT
It would be good to see him again but I rather like how he went out

I say he lived, and we meet him in the deep roads in DA2, if we get to go there

I agree...no body? No full of blood death scene? Come on...I expected him to jump outta nowhere as either a rage consumed opponent or half dead but still alive... I think the character got a lotsa love, and that he will reappears...

I personally don't think he will, but I do not doubt the possibility that they could if they want to.

Or maybe some DLC about him with the second game, or some kind of stand alone...

Can a Grey Warden be turned into a darkspawn? Cause if they can I can see those bastards (the darkspawn) doing that to him. crying If not then he probably is dead especially with how that one darkspawn was going to hit him with that battle axe. sad

Yeah I looked everywhere for his body in the Ostagar DLC, very strange...unless the Darkspawn took his corpse somewhere else, like underground or something.

according to the Bioware site, poor Duncan is dead never to return. more than likely the darkspawn ate him...they've been known to do that.

Darkspawn probably ate him, or took his body as a trophy.
Alternately, I believe that the (Spoiler warning) sentient Darkspawn got that way from drinking Warden blood in a sort of... reverse-Joining performed by the Architect? Maybe that's what they did with him.

I think if they were going to bring him back, they would have done it with Alistair still around, since no one cared about him as much as Alistair. I mean, it was sad when Duncan died, but I'd been watching the NPC's I remotely liked die since I picked my origin story. :3 Alistair: Oh, Duncan, such a good man! Why did he have to dieeee? *fighting back tears* Me: Who? Oh yeah, Beardy.... Yeah, totally, I bet Beardy's at the Maker's side right now or whatever... Please stop crying?
