Entering shyly she quickly finds a seat praying to the spirits in her head that she is not so late she is a burden and that the teacher is not as frightening as a bunch of the other students informed her of .

IndigoMy name, my flower, my color, my being------ Indigo settled onto the ground outside the main school building and headed inside, her wide wings drifting out behind her, shrinking slowly as she went inside. even so, they still dominated the upper few feet of the hallway. when she went into her first class of the day, there was only one other student, and Imhotep, of course. She smiled at the girl. "Hello. I'm Indigo."

There was a strange trunk off in the corner, somehow unnoticed until now, with carvings that looked more suited for a pyramid than the old-fashioned item. The front showed a man in robes apparently growing from a tree, while a woman held her arms out with runes in front, the sides' carvings limited to raised ankhs where the handles were the crossbars. The carvings were more primitive, an inexperienced yet loving hand's work eased from years and wear. Slightly moist dirt still clung to the bottom, the deep almost-black wood otherwise surprisingly clean, a rim of bronze or some other shiny metal along the lip and overhang where an ankh indentation lay over the lock; only an ankh properly placed would unlock the strange trunk.
At least, it seemed that way, but nothing could be certain, as the trunk radiated power and magic, and almost...quiet awareness. Truly, a strange piece of work.

A man which Egyptian skin wearing nothing more than a pair of boots and tight leather pants walked into the room. His dyed hair lightened his look. He had a gold arm band on his upper arm that some how stayed in place while he moved about. He went to the front before passing out the books that he needed for the class. It was a big text book with alphabets and kanji along with many other symbols. He muttered about how he hated to teach children in Egyptian.
