The Haunted House was full of awesome and scary stuff, of that Bo was sure. So it was no wonder that he traipsed straight inside, a small flask hidden in the massively deep pockets of his cargo shorts. He and Elzo Xanis had made plans to meet up here. They knew each other from the party circuit, and one thing was painfully certain: they both loved a good time.

With Bo's enthusiasm and Elzo's determination, they had spread the word about a game of Truth or Dare to be held on the third floor of the Haunted House in one of the closed off rooms. Elzo had scouted it out earlier and texted Bo the details. With a little finagling, he had found his way there, and was currently brushing dust from the chairs and peeking around the room.

There were bookshelves lining the walls, and cobwebs blurring the windowsills. Oh yeah, this was perfect. Lifting a silver flash with a unicorn on it from his pocket, Bo took a hearty swig and then waited for his co-conspirator to arrive.

This was... TRUTH OR DARE.

This is Bo. Bo likes to drink. Feel free to say that you know Bo from a party. This is absolutely okay. He knows a lot of people. He has kissed and spooned many of the ladies. Feel free to say you are one of them.

Basically, if you need an excuse to be here, then this guy is your ticket in.

Elzo had promised to take our Audrey for a majority of the night, but, bros before hoes. He and Bo had been planning this long before he and Audrey had finalized when they would be arriving. Besides, she wanted some time with her friends, why couldn't he have some time with his old friend?
Like Jack Daniels?
Or Bo, his old wing man and party buddy?

The game would be simple, and best of all, catering to teenage recklessness. It was a game made to be the worst of the worst, with nothing to loose but maybe some dignity.
Still, smuggled hole punch in hand, Elzo had spread the word. A free way to get a punch, just come up, take a swig, don't throw up, and do your dare!

Truth was for pussies anyway.

This is Elzo Xanis. You might know him from school. Or, from various clubs. Or the fact he likes to say hello to random strangers on the street and goes out of his way to make friends. He has the hole punch 'of extreme balls'. He will only punch you if you prove yourself worthy young padawan.

How It Works

This game is open to everyone! Make up any way to explain how your character heard about the Truth or Dare game, and it is fine by us. The one thing we ask is that you PM Vamps/me with three ideas for a truth question or a dare challenge. We will randomize your ideas to create a list of truths and a list of dares that participants will have to randomly generate a number to select.

Keep in mind: some of these dares might take your character to the fourth floor. It is up to the mods what happens up there!

Once we have a list of dares and truths, people can roll to figure out what they will be asked. We will post more specific information when we know what the total number of options will be.

Elzo was quite smug. Smug that he had a date planned. To his knowledge Bo, did not. But sadly, he knew Bo. Bo would have a date by the night's end. That or he would be at an awesome party. Until then, Elzo was smug. And over excited. "Told you it would be awesome. Now, how many did you call? I posted the info onto Facebook and tweeted already." In his hand was a bag of small popcorn balls mixed with candy corn. Behind him, a sack. The sack of terror. Elzo was half sure it was filled with everything they needed for various dares. And candy. Lots of candy.

"I cannot wait for the first victim. Oh uh-" He offered the bag of popcorn and candy to Bo. "Want some balls?"

Smugness had little effect on Bo. Bo was almost never smug, and therefore had a difficult time recognizing it on another's face. He simply smiled good-naturedly, grabbed a handful of popcorn, and said, "Ah man, I love these balls." He paused. "Hah. Balls. I get it." And then stuffed the entire handful in his mouth, sputtering little popcorn flakes.

Bo's preparation for the evening's festivities had been less extensive than Elzo's, which was hardly surprising. He had sent out a mass text to everyone in his phone book, including his mother and grandmother. The latter responded with a phone call and a hearty, "Don't be too stupid, kid. Call me if you need me. Just not during the Orioles." His grandmother was a die-hard Baltimore Orioles fan, despite their recent terrible after more terrible seasons. A few others responded, but Bo didn't pay attention. And then he forgot his cellphone at home, so... the chips would fall where they may.

He pondered this for a moment and then said, "I did stuff. I have faith we'll get a group of cool people. I feel some good vibes in this place." Bo raised one arm on either side of his body and wiggled his fingers. Then his hand disappeared inside his hoodie. He pulled out his flask, tipped it to his lips, and then offered it to Elzo.

Devi had been quietly listening in for a few seconds. Not in the creepy stalkerish way, but instead eavesdropping as she nervously debated actually approaching the game. It had been a long time since Devi had willingly forced herself out into a social situation. Definitely not since she was in that coma, and even before then it had been a while - other than her dates with Damian.

Devi's anxieties sprung up to a new level as one voice said 'a group of cool people'. Devi thought of herself to be an example of everything uncool. For gods sake, she was wearing a Freddy Krueger costume, whereas all the 'cool girls' wore slutty costumes with assorted animal accessories, nothing actually spooky. Perhaps she should just turn around.

But no - she had promised herself that tonight would be the night she made an effort to change things in her social life. Besides, she was invited. Even if it was a text message from a boy she had only met once. She closed her eyes, counted down from five with long deep breaths and entered the room.

She opened her eyes again. In the lonely room in the dark haunted mansion, an innocent seventeen year old girl just walked into a room with a lot of privacy, two men, and alcohol. Where was a rape whistle when you needed one?

Amelia loved Halloween, it was the time to dress up and be someone else. Not that she didn't love who she was, she did, but it was always fun to pretend. This year she decided to go as Vanille from FFXIII, the costume was skimpy but it was Halloween, most woman's costumes didn't have much material to them. Her lack of modesty was also probably helped along by the fact she was high as a kite. Her cousin had gotten some extra special product in honour of Halloween.

Stepping into the room she looked around. She had seen a re-tweet of a re-tweet about a game of Truth or Dare on the 3rd floor and figured she'd go. She liked truth or dare, it was a fun game, especially when people came up with interesting dares.

It didn't take her long to spot the people in the room, all three of them. Well, hopefully more people would show up soon. "Hey!" In the quiet of the room her voice was too loud and she bit her lip stifling a laugh. She needed to remember to control the volume of her voice. Stepping up to the group she grinned, her hands on her hips. "I'm Vanille. Well not really, but I make a good one don't I?" She gave a little twirl on one foot showing off her costume. She hadn't bought it, instead made it and it was surprisingly accurate to the character.

When the door opened, Bo turned with open arms to greet whoever was walking through the door. He never seemed aware of the inherent danger of playing around in the Haunted House, especially with alcohol on him (and despite the fact that he was freshly-turned 21 years old).

When he saw the mousey brown of a vaguely familar girl, Bo beamed wider, the smile only dipping when he saw her costume. "Wow, fierce claws on you," he said, crossing over to invite her into the room. Truth be told, he didn't actually remember her name or where they had met. But she looked nice, and that was enough for him. "So glad you could swing by and partake in the festivities." Bo turned over his shoulder. "Aren't we festive, Elzo?" He turned back to Devi. "We're very festive."

There was little time to squirm over the fact that he couldn't recall the girl's name. Someone was coming in right behind her. Another girl? Excellent! Bo liked girls. He had always had more female friends than male, even though he had a fair share of both. Bo was the kind of guy who was everyone's friend, even if he was no one's best friend. This seemed to suit him just fine.

The new girl was dressed quite differently than the first, though Bo liked both. "Hi, Vanille!" he said, mistaking this immediately for her real name. He didn't pick up on her joke. Bo didn't play enough video games to understand the costume. "I dig the Native American thing." Clearly he misunderstood. "I'm a Native American too." One hand fussed inside of his hoodie before pulling out a single long feather connected by a string to the rainbow headbands he wore across his forehead.

Yeah, totally not the same.

Elzo gave his comrade a shove in the ribs. "Hello Ladies." A tip of his mobster hat to them. He nodded to the girl gamer. Audrey was exposing him more and more to vast darkness that was trendy games and current top sellers. "Looks like we have a horror lover and a ...caws-player. Er. Something. Well ladies, pick your poison." Elzo backed over to his sack of torment.

"Truth or Dare?"

"I'm Devi," she spat out, after choking on her words for quite a while. After that the words seemed to flow out uncontrollably. "Thanks! My claws are pretty fierce, they're really spooky looking, huh? I was playing with them naked in front of the mirror before I got dressed, pretending to kill myself with the claws."

That was a bunch of information she really didn't need to share. She had a gentle feeling that was going to regret that in the morning.

"Dare." She had a feeling she would regret that, too. She truthfully meant to say truth, but dare sprouted out of her lips with no resistance. The words had demanded to be spoken.

It was Elzo who had started the ball rolling, but Bo was the one who jumped into the fray. Maybe it was because she said something about playing naked in the mirror and Bo considered that his best sport? It was possible. He slid away from Amelia and moved over to Devi, playfulness in his eyes. The two boys had bounced around some ideas for dares, but in that moment, Bo felt like they had all fallen out of his head.

For a minute, he stammered, and then finally, he said, "Okay, daring Devi. How about... I dare you to greet the next person who walks through that door with a wink and a firm smack on the a**. Regardless of who it is." Bo grinned, impish. If Andeon was here, he imagined the boy would walk out the door and then come right back in. What was he up to anyway?

Distracted, Bo whipped out his cellphone and began to fiddle with it.

Devi saw two issues with this dare:
#1: She cannot wink.
#2. She had a large claw on her main hand. A smack on the a** might hurt.

Nonetheless, Devi agreed to the dare challenge with and a soft - almost inaudible - "Okay." She hoped to all that is holy that Damian wouldn't walk through the door. She believed she would literally die of embarrassment if that were to happen. She stood by the threshold, ready to a**-slap the next visitor with her non-clawed hand. As for the wink: well, she'll have to improvise.

Devi hadn't played truth or dare much before so was a bit hazy on the rules. "After this, then what? Do I get to ask you truth or dare?"

Vanessa's had always been an indomitable, excitable sort of spirit, and it was fed now by the festive humming and buzzing of the carnival. Such sights! Such sounds! Such awesome things to do! Her senses were assaulted pleasantly from every angle, and Vanessa, thrilling to the Halloween season, was positively high on life.

With John Jr and a small troupe of his friends at her side, Vanessa had tackled ride after ride after ride. She'd repeated the worst and scariest of them, and managed to burn a very sizeable hole in her pocket. Since her debacle of a summer holiday, Vanessa had been forced to quit work at Big Willy's and pay more attention to her studies. This meant less spending money, but more free time.

After all but one of the boys had started to complain of nausea, and another had introduced them all to the contents of his lunch, it was John Jr who'd suggested that they check out the Haunted House. And so they did.

Vanessa had enjoyed herself well enough on the first floor and, even though she was too old to trick or treat, been fortunate enough to receive a couple helpings of candy. The second floor had been even better, but it was the third that called to her especially.

She was like little Danny Torrance and it was her Room 217. Except, probably, there wouldn't be any old bloated ladies waiting in the bathtub for her.

Curious as ever, insisting that John Jr remain behind with his buddies, Vanessa plucked up her courage and ventured into the unknown. Her costume was a simple compilation of things that she'd found tucked away at home. In a pair of brown shorts and a white t-shirt with suspenders and her socks pulled up passed her knees, Vanessa looked a little like some strange hybrid of Spongebob Squarepants and Napoleon Dynamite. On her nose she sported a pair of toy glasses that made her eyes look ten times too big for her head.

Biting her lip, following the sound of voices, it so happened that she would be the next person to walk through the door-- and utterly at Devi's mercy.

As the strangely dressed girl crossed through the threshold, Devi hesitated. She wasn't the type of girl to do this sort of thing. What had she gotten herself into? She supposed it was only a slap on the a**, how much harm could it really do? Going with that logic, she tried her best to wink as she smacked the newcomer on the buttocks - and perhaps stayed there a second or two longer than the dare required. "Welcome," she joked, hoping the awkwardness would soon pass.

There was something familiar about the girl, but she couldn't quite place it.
