User Image Although the sun was rising, and Mamanbou knew she should get up, she couldn't move. She tried to move during the day, knowing others like her preferred to move at night, but her body was too sore. Constant vigilance, ever moving in the hot sun, never eating enough or resting enough had taken its toll.
Mamanbou cast her eyes about. She was laying in a mostly dry streambed; a trickle of water ran down the very center, less then half a length away. The hot season was taking its toll on more than just her.
After an eternity of slow minutes of shifting, Mamanbou was close enough to the trickle to lap some water up. She growled half heartedly at a lizard who wandered past her nose. She was already exhausted again.
She would just have to stay where she was, whether the sun was up or not.

Abla seemed to be attracted to those with hardships. She always seemed to find them. Just something made her stumble across them and every time she ran across one of them she wanted to help them in anyway possible even if she just offered her ear and talked to them. She couldn't see the lioness she was near but she knew she was getting closer and closer to her. She could smell the other's scent in the air and she was curious about the other creature. She flicked her tail behind her quietly before she finally found a correct time to move forward, she could hear the other lapping up water and she wanted to know what the other creature's problem was.

She could feel the exhaustion in the air it made her feel a little sleepy herself, but she knew she probably couldn't do much for the lioness but she could try. She flicked her hair out of her eyes before smiling softly, she couldn't see the lioness but she was hoping the lioness would see the smile on her face and could tell that she was friendly. Because it was true, Abla was pretty friendly. but it was in a bit of an odd way. Abla always carried a sweet but sad air about her. She really could never get rid of the sad feeling, she had been through too much. But she always tried to tried her hardest to be as sweet as she could.

The goddess paused for a moment before standing in front of the lioness the smile still on her face, it was a soft but sad smile, she almost always had it on her face. "Hello there."

With effort, Mamanbou raised her eyes and squinted. There was a lioness like none she had ever seen before standing in front of her. The wings, of course, were impossible not to notice. Some type of flowering vine clung to her, and Mamanbou could not tell if she was dripping petals or blood, and there was some strange cuff around her rear leg and tail.
Hazily, Mamanbou recalled something from her cubhood. Her mother told her that a winged lion would come for them if they were bad, or for old ones when it was time to pass on. She had pushed herself to hard. This was it.

"I'm ready if it's time to go, sire . . . but I can't stand up."

Abla shifted her wings, spreading them some before pulling them against her body again. She settled herself more before staring forward, she wasn't sure where the lioness was but she knew she was some where in front of her. As the lioness spoke Abla shook her head, she wans't that sure what the lioness was talking about but she knew she had no clue what she meant. "I don't know what you're talking about." She paused thinking thenspeaking quietly. "What do you mean? Are you okay?" She asked again curiously.

She was really hoping that the lioness was okay, she knew there were plenty of things that she had seen over time but this was something that she had really never seen before in her life. She wasn't that sure of what do to.

Mamanbou was confused. And parched. Those few words had drained her. She had to stop and lap at the trickle of the water before her nose before she could speak again. Even so she paused to look at the strange lioness. Only about a length or so in front of her, the lioness didn't seem to know where Mamanbou was.

"I feel half dead. Isn't that why you're here? To take me?" Even to herself, she sounded irritable, and more snappish then she had intended. After all, she had to be dying. Why else would death be here?

But the black lioness hadn't taken her yet, even though several minutes had passed. Maybe this lioness wasn't the death her mother had told her of. But if she wasn't, what was she?

"Aren't you my death?"

Abla arched a brow at the lioness before shaking her head, she sat back on her haunches. She looked over the lioness carefully thinking about what she was going to do. The lioness sounded annoyed and she didn't want the lioness to be annoyed, she didn't like it when others were annoyed at her. She thook her head a few times to her. "I'm here to make sure your okay..." She wasn't that sure if that was true, she was curious of what was going on though.

She then paused again, flicking her tail around then wiggling her toes in the dirt then shook her head again. "I am not your death." She said simply before nudging the lioness with a paw. "Do you want me to move you some where safer." She couldn't exactly see what the lioness looked like but with what she was saying and how the lioness sounded she knew that the lioness sure needed some help. She coudl smell some trees not that far off she could easily get her over there and into the shade that was for sure.

Mamanbou was confused. If she wasn't her death, what was she? But she was offering help. Help would be good. Mamanbou certainly couldn't help herself right now.

Even if it was humiliating to ask.

"Yes, if you can help me to move. I can't stand up."

After she asked, it occurred to Mamanbou that she had no idea how the strange lioness intended to move her. Hopefully, it would be gentle. Mamanbou didn't feel like she could take a much jarring right now.

Abla flicked her hair out of her eyes before looking down at the lioness she knew that she needed to help the other. She wasn't one to leave some one behind no matter what. That was the way that she was raised. She wasn't supposed to leave some one behind even if you didn't know them. She flicked her hair out of her eyes before continuing to move closer to the lioness and then move her head under the lioness's head before pushing her up, trying to carefully use her body to push the lioness on to her back so that she could take her seomewhere else.

WIth the strange lioness's help. Mamanbou managed to move at least into a sitting position with some weight on her forelegs - shaky though they were. This was what she got for pushing her self so hard. Someday soon, there would be no one around to help her. She had to find somewhere safe to live, or this would be the end of her as surely as her pursuer.

"Th-thank you. For helping me up."
