Okay, so last night, due to my insomnia, I was reading a book. I glanced up to check the time, and then continued reading. But out of he top of my eye, I saw something prancing around on my bookshelf. When I looked up, nothing was there.

I continued to read, but caught sight of the creature once more. Again, when I looked up, it had vanished.

I do believe it was a faerie. I remembered what Fareru had told me to do if I had experiances with the fae, so I asked in my mind what it wanted.

The immediate response was "To disrupt you, of course!" At this I giggled and ignored the prancing thing on my shelf for the rest of the time.

I know most of you have more experiance with the fae than I do, so what do you guys think it was? It seemed harmless enough, and I got no malicious feelings from it. In fact, it felt like it just wanted to disturb me as a slight joke.

A Brownie, eh? Hm, interesting. I'll leave out some honey tonight, that's when he came out.

It seems like our you may have a piskie. Although they are more prone to the outdoors than indoors...it is possible for one to get comfortable inside a human dwelling. It is neat that you able to get a chance to see the fae. People who are able to see fae out of the the corner of their eyes; have a gift called "Sight".

I for one, with me being a fae once am not allowed to have the sight undercertain faery laws and orders, but I can feel them all around me. A slight breeze in my room, a tingling on my fingers. The feeling of extreme happiness, and comfort of knowing I am not alone.

You say you saw a fae, well I believe you, and embrace your gift of Sight. The fae will be more prone to come to now since they know you can see them, but be warned do not disrespect them. Faeries are nasty mean things that old grudges if you disrespect them. Next time in your room leave your fae guest a little offering. This will let the fae in your room feel welcomed.

I left out some honey in a plastic cup, couldn't find anything else. I felt bad because last night I didn't get a chance, so I did it when my dad went out to get groceries. It's hard, you know? My dad doesn't know that I believe in the fae, so I have to be VERY secretive about it. He probably thinks I'm doing drugs or something O.o

Well, see, my dad knows I'm crazy, but not in that sense. I mean, it's kind of a 'do whatever the heck I want' crazy with me, but I don't know how he'd react if he found honey in my room.

my dad was the one who taught me about faeries but I think he assumed I'd grow out of it. He's a little wierded out by some of the things I do because he feels it's childish.

Oh, Fareru, that's sad. I hope very much that my dad will never treat me like that. If he ever does, I don't know what I'll do.

((Sorry if I'm talking funny. I'm roleplaying, and I'm in character right now.))

I think brownies like milk, too... And I'm not sure if I'm remembering correctly, but I think some of them do little chores around the house if you leave things out for them, or something like that...

Aren't Piskie's mischievous? I wouldn't be surprised if you found little honey footprints all over your walls and furniture, lol that would be so cute. heart

That would be, but it's be a horror to clean up. Oh, god, I can't even think about that.

I haven't seen it since, though. I've seen other things in the corners of my eyes, things ducking from sight as I look directly at it. I'm going for a walk in the woods tomorrow to see if that's where they're coming from.

The Pix are mischievous- but it's their nature.
As far as I know, Brownies do like milk, but I'm more aware of them awing over honey.

Honey is sticky, so of course it's going to be a bit much to clean.

If honey, or milk doesn't work- try faery sugar. It's any type of sugar- preferably white, mixed with vanilla extract, and dyed with a few drops of red food coloring to make pink sugar. They love the essence. Or leave the brownie a little knick-knack (something shiny, or natural).

I think the fellow just wanted to meet you Riley- till next time! heart

A Brownie is a domesticated type of faery that is usually known to help tidy up the house at night. They are seen as brown-colored, hence the name.

I was at my friends house 2 nights ago and could swear I saw something brown sitting with it's knees if it has knees against it's chest out of the corner of my eye. For some reason it reminded me of a winged monkey but I did't get a very good look it was just a quick flash out of the corner of my eye.

Hm. The one I saw didn't look like that. It appeared to be wearing green or brown, but brown was not it's skin tone. It was small, no more than and 4 inches at most, and it seemed to be dancing.
