Last night, the thread was asked of the origins of Asian Thunder. There have been a lot of responses and here's a few I came across in the thread.

The Story of Asian Thunder:

One day, whilst Zeus was conjuring a mean storm for Australia because he was bored, a great bolt of lightning fell from the sky. It landed in a place we now know today as Atlantis, but back then they called it Asia. The bolt was found by the Atlantis/Asian natives and was revered as the holy relic it was... but then Zeus noticed that his bolt was there and decided to sink Atlantis/Asia because he thought it was stolen. But the bolt had other ideas. It waited for years and years and centuries and hours and a week and it decided to go to the Americas and help some poor Gaians kick butt at baseball. This is how "The Asian Thunder" was born. They say that even today you can hear the great roar coming from his bat.

The End.

xD Much love, GGW

My story about the Asian Thunder biggrin

The Asian Thunder was the youngest of 27 children. By the time he was born there was no attention left from either of his parents for him. His first plot to get attention was to be as good as he could, he learned the piano, how to ride his bike on his own, how to build a computer, and how to be a five star chef; all by the age of 4. But none of these things worked. His father would give him a pat on the head and his mother would give him a smile.

But when he did anything wrong they both paid tons of attention, so he quickly learned that was the way to feel important. He perfected the art of the temper tantrum. His cries got so efficient in getting attention that the emperor eventually searched out his parents to get the kid to shut up. But by that time there was no quieting the Asian Thunder. He screamed and screamed, the world waiting with held breath for him to tire of his game or to loose his voice. But neither happened, he screamed until finally the emperor ordered their top base ball player to hit the small child up into the skies.

The Asian Thunder now lives among the stars, playing base ball, eating moons and drinking milky way. His tantrum has finally stopped, but as soon as he feels the people back in Asia have forgotten about him he'll let loose his screams once again, followed by a chunk of star to mark the earth with his need for attention.
