Age: Roughly 450 years, although when placed on Earth about 18.

Personality: Often found to be off in the distance, but with maters that concern him he is straight forward. He doesn't tend to show a caring side to anyone other than Ceres. He does, however, offer guidance to younger foals, and Ceres' children.

Past: Mother Tree interfered with the Islands way of things, and attracted an outcast mother to the Grove. Tired, and weak she died after Sky was born. With a little magic Mother Tree brought others like him into the world to be adopted by Gaian's. Ceres wondered into the Grove, and the tree offered Sky to her; for her to raise. So, in a way, they grew up together. Later both would learn that the tree was actually Ceres' Mom!

Alighieri is a changeling, once bonded to a cruel and twisted wizard. Though he was a normal changeling once, he has long since become a twisted changeling. Whatever interest the wizard had in Alighieri is long since lost, as Alighieri himself does not know it. His name comes from the Italian poet Dante Alighieri, famous for his epic poems known as Inferno, Purgatorio, and Paradisio, in which he writes about his own visits to Hell, Purgatory, and Heaven.

The bonding to the wizard must have been unpleasant for Alighieri. He gained his current form from being exposed to evil magics and dark creatures in a series of experiments. At last, when Alighieri had grown and would change no more, he became little more than a beast of burden for the dark wizard.

As they flew through the mountains, hunting for some arcane ingredient the wizard required, a sudden storm blew up and buffetted them off course. Through the wind and hail and lightning they flew, until at last Alighieri lost control. Alighieri was badly hurt, and the wizard was killed. Whether he died in the crash or at Alighieri's claws is unknown.

This account comes from the Gorrimao, a bat-like demon who found Alighieri and made a bargain with him. Though Alighieri's wounds are long since healed, his wings are badly tattered, and he will likely never fly.

Alighieri's purpose remains the same, the the Gorrimao has left Mystic Island. He wishes to remove all human presence from Mystic Island, and return it to the changelings, whom, he believes, have the rightful claim to it. He is willing and able to kill to achieve this. He has a strong, almost hypnotic presence, speaking his will telepathically into the minds of others; he is difficult to resist.

Apperance: A taller sort, he shined like the universe itself. Muscular and sleek, his build was absoluely amazing. His head was set upon his elongated neck and shoulders. Powerful muscles bulged from his whole form. His tail was sleek and soft looking, yet refined and not matted. Whilst his mane and forelock matched quite nicely of the blueish-purple hue. Only one eye was visable to the filly, as the forelock long and perfect, covered his left eye.

Upon his head something gleamed, a spiral that was almost transparent.
Lying upon his back he carried massive feathered wings as well. His fetlocks also feathering into a pictureqse dream perhaps.

As for the back story...

Anomaly is the one who wrote the book persay. The reason he exists in the Tower is because that is where all the books he compiled are kept. Mass knowledge is hidden from the world and all its contents.

It seems that others had learned of this knowledge and planned on retrieving it for their own wrong doing. Anomaly in fear of this happening used a blank ancient forbidden text to write in about this horrible event that neared him like the black plague. Though not realizing that the text was cursed, he used it anyway. A book telling of the stars and their birth of the constellations. Upon using this text he triggered the magick within causing his form to become a Changeling. But yet his mortal soul was sealed within the pages. During the changing his right eye was removed from the socket and placed on the cover of the book. His forelock grew longer and covered where the eye once was. In the book he had read that a child of the changlings would come to the Tower. So, using a familiar spell of sorts Anomaly sent the book out in the world where it ended up in in Ceres' possesion.

Current Information: He was given a second chance. He was reborn, and his name is now Saviour (Protector: Guardian Yami)!
