Istas had stayed after school, they were going to have a halloween play, and while Istas couldn't act, she could paint! She had been helping the adults paint the props, they were nice enough to let her help paint a few scary looking animals and some tombstones and even help with a tree!
She hadn't been paying attention to the time, and well even though her mother knew she was going to be there. Istas had to leave before it got dark. She didn't want to run into anything troublesome. So when she noticed the light fading from the window in the lunch room Istas squeaked. "Oh my..... oh my I'm late!!"
She looked at the others, parents and 'friends' she'd been helping. "I gotta go catch the bus, mom's busy with some research. I have to get home before dark!"
"I can take you Istas." One of the adults offered, Istas had gone to their girl's birthday party not too long ago.
"No thanks! I'll be alright." She smiled and nodded, "The bus stop isn't far!" She grabbed her things, including a stuffed animal back pack and headed for the door. Skirt fluttering as she hurried towards the bus stop she'd have to wait a little bit but that was okay it was never long and there tons of things to watch pass by. Of course being later than normal there weren't any people standing with her... It let her mind have time to wonder to what could be lurking in the dark.

Something felt weird about this.
It felt like a Senshi was nearby, but at the same time, that feeling was much weaker than normal. A pale manx cat couldn't help but shake her head, wondering if all of these days of hunting for Senshi in general was causing her to start feeling things she shouldn't have been. Though ********* was moving at what she considered a "casual pace," the feline's feet were actually trotting along at a rather brisk pace. Since there weren't very many people out and about at the moment, the guardian felt she could walk along the sidewalk, just like any other pedestrian.
This all still felt rather weird. Now that feeling was moving closer.
Rather quickly, a child seemed to approach as fast as her little legs could carry her. *********, never being able to resist a simple greeting, merely mewed out as she looked to the child with what seemed like a friendly smile.
What would a child be doing out at a time like this?

Istas had been looking at the bus schedule. It was going to be a bit. She frowned, and was about to call her mom to let her know she was waiting on the bus and not to worry when a mew sounded.
Startled Istas turned to see what it was. Only to find a cat. "OH, hello there kitty!" She said crouching down, "Are you waiting for the bus too?" She chuckled at her silliness.
She held out her hand for the small tailless cat to sniff.

Weird weird weird...
Combination of child at bus stop in the middle of the early evening and that feeling of a weak senshi nearby was really tickling her brain in the little nooks and crannies. It was even making her ears twitch slightly at the very points.
Twitch twitch.
Twitch twitch.
All the ear twitching in the world wasn't going to explain this situation to *********. The thing to snap her back to reality was the sudden close proximity of the child's hand. Her nose wriggled slightly.
It smelled of water-soluble paint. Once more, the pale cat mewed out.

Istas squeaked as the cat mewed again. "Aww, are you hungry?" She said softly frowning and pulling her teddy shaped backpack as she looking for something to eat.
"Hm... I should really let mom know I'm waiting on the bus..." She said softly as she found a few left over cookies from her snack time. Opening her cell phone again and sending a text message, something she tried not to do often with her mother.
She pulled out the cookie and, "I dunno if you like cookies... but..." She took after grabbing a napkin and sat it on the ground for the cat. "Here you go." She said softly, giving a soft rub of the pale colored cat looking at the star on her head, "What a pretty star marking." She cooed softy.

********* was this nonsense?!
Green eyes seemed instantly attracted to the toy-like backpack, the feline rather evidently knowing that there was indeed food on the inside of it. She almost seemed to coo, trying to make herself sound as adorable as possible in an effort to guarantee she'd get a piece of whatever treat was in the pack. Her eyes almost seemed to sparkle for a moment when the cookie appeared in the child's hand. It smelled very buttery, which was never a bad thing!
And then something had to ruin the obviously perfect moment.
The cat's ears perked up and she rather suddenly turned in a different direction. There was a youma. And it was approaching fast.
...but... the cookie!!! ********* wouldn't be able to finish it in time, even if she attempted to gobble it up as fast as her little feline mouth could manage! Life as a guardian sometimes wasn't all glamor. Actually, it was never glamorous.

Her mother had texted back asking if Istas wanted to be picked up. Istas also declined that offer saying the bus shouldn't be long now.
It was when the cat looked away from the cookie that Istas frowned. She knew it'd looked at it and wanted it. "What's wrong?" She asked, looking the same direction as the cat. Almost worried it was one of those monsters.
"It... it's not a monster is it... maybe it's just a puppy... yeah it has to be a puppy..." She said softly slightly scare. However, she was grabbing at ********* and trying to get the cookie too. If it was a dog hopefully it wouldn't scare the cat too bad especially if Istas was holding the cat.
"I'll keep you safe... Don't worry the bus'll be here soon. I'll smuggle you on." She said glancing for where the bus should be coming. The bus wasn't coming fast enough though, Istas looked back worried.

Though the youma was now concern number 1, she couldn't help but note how awkwardly the girl had picked her up. ********* hind legs were left dangling, squirming and wriggling slightly as she attempted to get some sort of hold onto the girl.
Little kids tended to have the worst time holding onto cats.
Rather strangely, the Youma she had been sensing seemed to stop at a rather set distance away. It was weird, but the manx was not about to complain. For a moment, she awkwardly cuddled her face against the child's chest.
You shouldn't have to worry about keeping me safe... it's you I am worried about, child.

Istas shifted ********* slightly, when the cat was in her hands, the cookie having gone to her pocket for now. So that she could use both hands. It was a little awkward trying to hold the cat.
She softly when the cat cuddled against her face. "Don't worry. It'll be fine." She said softly, yellow eyes keeping a watch out for whatever it was in the dark. Often animals are seen by their eyes. She was hoping this was the case this time.
She could run if it was mean. "The bus'll be here soon." She said softly taking a small step back. Whatever it was, that frightened the cat wasn't showing itself though.

********* blinked. It's moving again. It was rather odd that the Youma would stop and then move again. Usually they didn't really stalk in such a fashion. Once they found their prey, they usually went straight for the kill.
********* ears fell back slightly, starting to feel more wary about the whole ordeal. Her senses were a bit overwhelmed by the youma, but after the girl attempted to reassure her, she attempted to calm herself.
Only to find that faint feeling from before. Well, it was not an accurate description. The feeling was actually right there in front of her paws, but it was soft. Almost gentle and delicate. It wasn't strong, but calling it weak also didn't seem like a good term for the sensation.
It was just...small.
What had ********* found? It was curious, to say the least.
The bright glow of headlights began to approach the small pair waiting at the bus stop. However, it was not solely the bus that came.
Something had hitched a ride. It was looking for something good to eat. Perhaps it was a bit finicky, but that always made the starseeds that much more delicious.

Istas watched the bus, the bright headlights blinded her. When her eyes adjusted she paused, "Wh... what's on top of the bus?" She said softly noticing a flash. That almost reminded her of eyes.
She shifted, if it was a monster she and the poor kitty would be running. She couldn't run like the rabbits however, she started backing up. "I... they don't know... it's there... do they..." She said softly taking an occasional glance back.
"What should we do..." She said softly as . "I don't know how to get the sailor suited people here..."

The youma's eyes shined like cat eyes. It seemed to be shifting itself in a manner that like it was readying to pounce. Perhaps all of those other people it had skipped for the evening had finally paid off.
"I suggest you go find a hiding place... someplace it cannot find you..."
It was a rather sudden suggestion, but the cat had finally seemed to have a complete grasp of the situation. Small or not, this girl was apparently a Senshi. And small or not, this girl needed to be awakened before unlocking her full potential.
"Find a hiding place, and I'll tell you more about those sailor suited people, I promise."

Istas almost dropped ********* when she talked. Looking at the cat. "YOU TALKED!" However that lasted only a moment as she looked at the monster on the bus again... yup no time for hello, it's goodbye.
She started running holding the cat the best she could, poor ********* was probably getting jostled around more than normal. The only thing Istas could think of was getting back to the school, the play ground had a tunnel system thing much like you'd see hamsters playing in. Only not all of it was see through.
Istas' feet could move pretty fast when she was in trouble. She was also lucky the school wasn't that far from the bus stop. The playground might've been a decent clip away but it was the best hiding spot she knew of... She was panting by the time she climbed into the tunnels and got in far enough she felt comfortable to stop.
She was sitting down a plastic bubble window wasn't far from them. So she could glance out every now and then. It seemed everyone else had already left the school for it looked pretty dark. She'd let ********* go when they arrived and pulled her knees up to her chest, wondering what she should do, that monster was probably going to be here soon.
"Wh... why can you talk?" She asked, looking at the cat. "Are you like the animals from mama's stories? And what about those Sailor Suited people... how do we get one to come help?" She asked looking at the cat, before casting another glance out of the bubble window. "I'm scared..." She said softly, this brought a whole new meaning to monster under your bed.

Normally, the manx was adjusted to dealing with teenagers and their version of disbelief about a talking cat. This little girl's reaction was definitely much different from the typical teenager reaction. The ride was quite a bit bumpy, and every so often, her hind legs hand to scramble for some sort of hold against the girl's body. The scenery flew past until they were in the playground tunnel.
When she was released, the cat padded away slightly and looked at the girl with her green eyes. This girl's butter-yellow eyes were only making the spotted feline hungry.
"Well, I do not know your mama's stories, so I apologize for not having an answer about that. I talk because I need to." She backed up a few more kitty steps before rather suddenly doing a small back flip like a mechanical toy animal would. The clatter of something landing upon the plastic tube echoed slightly in the confined space.
"Just like there are things you need to do... take the items I just dropped... please?"

"You should come listen to them sometime.." Istas replied after ********* spoke again, yup that is indeed a talking cat. The child's butter yellow eyes watched and widened as the kitty did a flip. She couldn't help but clap, until she saw the item it'd dropped, she picked it up as she was told do.
"That's a neat trick" She said with a smile before pausing, "What's this do?" She was looking at the pen like thing the cat had dropped with her child-like curiosity.
She paused... "There's things I need to do?" She looked slightly confused, "Like... going home and getting ready for bed type things?"
