Tori glanced at one of the many wall clocks hung around the house. Not a room in the house was without a clock. She'd managed to cram everything she had to do during the day just barely and thus keeping track of time was always important for her... one minute off could throw her entire day. It was just about eight, which told her the rest of the evening was hers after she laid the kids down. Having cut back classes meant that she had less homework. Less homework equaled more free time for herself, social time with her friends.
She hummed as she placed Sanqui and Ixchellia into their cribs. She ran her fingers through their hair, and just stared at them for a moment before tucking them in. She was still amazed. She sighed softly as she excited her room and headed down stairs to cook dinner.
She pulled pots and pans from their respective cabinets along with what she needed food wise. She had decided that she'd cook spaghetti this evening. That was a meal that was always good with a glass of wine.
Glancing again at the clock she was sure that Murrey was already at Evari's house. If she was correct in her assumptions then she was right on time and she'd be done by the time Evari arrived.

She'd told Kay she was scared to see Tori, and she'd meant it. When Tori had called to ask if she wanted to come over Evari felt so...anxious...but not in the usual way. She was scared, scared because now she didn't know what to think; she had been so adamant that Tori was some kind of victim being forced to have these babies on her own and do everything herself, that the father was a deadbeat who skipped town on her and wasn't even offering to pay child support or some s**t like that, but no...Tori hadn't even given Kay an option...it was both their faults but her not even letting him have any say whatsoever didn't help at all. She'd been dead set on this, and yet now she didn't know how to feel. should she be mad at Tori? Should she just pretend like it never happened like she was pretending with...th-the situation she refused to ever acknowledge and would pretend didn't exist? No, you couldn't ignore babies. Babies were there. Babies were alive, and they made noise, and they stared at you making you feel all awkward with their...babyness...
Kay didn't know how to handle his own kids, and Evari didn't know how the ******** to handle someone else's! Especially their's!
Eventually there came a knock at the door and Evari gasped, jumping up from the couch and opening the door. It was...er...Tori's driver? Oh, right. Tori had said she had a driver who'd be picking her up. Evari had called into the house to let Xai know she was leaving then, shuffling out of the house to awkwardly follow Murrey to the...wow...a limousine? She'd never ridden in one of those before. Was Tori in it? Her heart raced nervously as the door was opened for her and she climbed in, blinking when she found herself to be alone. O-okay. More time to prepare herself to see Tori. She sighed and settled into the seat, closing her eyes. Before she knew it they were in front of Tori's new house, her eyes widening as she just stared at it. Wow...even when she moved out of her parents' place she lived in a huge house. Evari climbed out of the car before the driver could get to her, sticking her hands in the pocket of her gargoyle hoodie and just strolling up to the front door. It was open before Evari even reached for the knob, blinking and nodding to the girl as she walked in. Mmm she already smelled something really good, glancing at the girl to give her a good once-over...or two. Oooh, she was cute! Evari gave her a little smile, following behind her as she showed her where Tori was. Oooh she was really cute. Oh. Wait. She was showing her where Tori was.
Evari's head whipped up when they entered the kitchen, her cheeks instantly turning pink as she looked around until she spotted Tori. "Heeeeey, pretty lady~." Evari greeted her with a nervous smile, casually looking around the kitchen. No babies? ...No babies. Cool. That was one less thing to be nervous about so far.

Though Tori was currently stirring the noodles one last time before draining them in the nearby colander her eyes were on the baby monitor as if she expected them to start crying at any moment... She couldn't help it, she was a nervous 'butt' when it came to her kids.
As she poured the pot of noddles and water into the colander she glanced up at the clock... then she heard that familiar voice of her friend. "You're right on time pretty lady," she said as she put the colander into the pot so that she could carry it to the table and the noodles still be 'drip drying'.
Before she could take a step from the sink her maid, Daniella, was already at her side awaiting to take the pot. A small smile and a whispered 'I'll get that miss' told Tori that she'd finish setting up the table. After a returned thank you and a smile of her own towards Daniella she headed over to Evari.
"It's been a while..." she said as she pulled her friend into a hug and kissed her on the cheek. If something was amiss with Evari, she didn't know... after all they spoke on the phone and to her things were good. They both had just been to busy to catch up the past couple of months.

Evari watched the little exchange between her friend and yet another pretty lady, watching the maid move about the kitchen. Her attention was quickly brought back to Tori, however, when the girl came closer to her. Evari opened her arms to readily accept the hug, nuzzling her head against the other's and returning the kiss on the cheek. It wasn't quite the greeting she was expecting but she'd take it. "Mm. It has." Evari murmured against her skin, brushing her lips along Tori's jawline. She may have been nervous but she just couldn't help but dote on a pretty lady with affection when she was able to, putting her hands on Tori's hips and giving her a gentle caress. "You're looking well~. Glad to see that." She told her honestly, smiling a little more as she moved her head to rest her forehead against Tori's.
"Dinner smells good too...miss me~?" Evari grinned cheekily and left a light kiss against Tori's lips. Of course Tori missed her! ...Right~?

If you didn't know Tori you'd have never know she had a baby. Now, knowing Tori you might notice that she still weighed a couple extra pounds. Nothing to get frantic about, after all she'd lost most of it already. And, with help of a corset those couple extra pounds didn't show at all. Regardless, her figure was there.
"Thank you," she whispered as she looked her best friend in the eyes. "You're not looking to shabby yourself," she teased just before kissing her lips a little more forceful the one she'd been given. "Of course I missed you," she winked. More ways than one but heck who was counting and who was saying what was already obvious.
She chuckled when Evari commented on dinner. She just knew her friend couldn't resist a good meal, especially one that was home cooked and from scratch. "Spaghetti. I hope you came hungry because there's plenty."

She definitely noticed the added weight despite it not being very much, but since she'd seen and felt Victoria naked before...well...it was definitely noticeable to Evari. She chuckled at the compliment she was given, cut off from giving any other kind of reply by the kiss to her lips, making a pleasantly surprised noise before she returned it. Evari's arms slid up to wrap around Tori's neck and kiss her harder, finally stopping so she could breathe and brushing her lips against Victoria's. "Couldn't tell~." She teased, briefly sticking her tongue out at her friend.
Ooh spaghetti? Awesome! She liked spaghetti. Burgers were her favorite ever but Victoria knew her well; Evari could never say no to a really good homecooked meal. "Oh, I'm starving~." She purred, tracing a finger down the side of Tori's neck. She couldn't help herself! It'd been so long, and while Tori made her rather uncomfortable for reasons she didn't want to disclose she just...damn she was still really hot even after having twins.
Oh...right...the twins. Evari suddenly cleared her throat and smiled nervously. "Sssssoooooo...is it just us tonight?" What mother would send her newborn babies away to another house? Evari doubted even Tori would do that. Especially since she did so much to...have them...despite. NO. Nono. Don't think about that. Evari distracted herself from those thoughts by allowing her eyes to follow the path of her finger as it trailed along Tori's skin above the line of the corset.

Tori wasn't exactly sure what it was about Evari but it was like a moth to a flame or like two magnets coming together... there just wasn't any stopping it. Not that she wanted her friend to stop. It had been a considerable bit of time she had been intimate with someone... 'Dinner' was something completely different. She sighed contently as Evari worked her own bit of magic. Her body naturally following suit to accommodate and reciprocate.
"I'm glad you came hungry," she chuckled. She really, really hoped that after that little display off affection it was for more than just food. Although, if that was the case she hoped her friend didn't mind the living room, the office, or some other area... the babies were asleep in her room. She had yet to feel comfortable enough to put them in their own separate rooms. There was always someone she knew with them, they were hardly ever left alone.
"Sanqui and Ixchellia are upstairs in my bedroom sleeping," she glanced over to the baby monitor as she responded to the question of it being just them tonight. "But both Alice and Daniella will be in the house to tend to the twins if I am preoccupied... We work as a family in raising them," she smiled. It was a lot of work raising two at once but she didn't mind. "Once I am asleep they will head out to their rooms that are located at the back of the property... If you stay over they will be staying in the main house. Alice is very generous when it comes to allowing me some me time," she chuckled.

By hungry Evari really did mean she was hungry. She knew Tori liked to cook...well...a lot for her, so she hadn't really had lunch. What? Had to keep herself good and empty for the food! So that meant there'd be no after-dinner fun until after dinner. For real. Evari didn't like having sex on an empty stomach...if...if she got comfortable enough to have sex; kissing and touching Evari was one thing, doing more than that was another thing entirely. One she wasn't sure just yet if she was ready for. But she'd try! She'd try really hard.
Evari blinked at the names, her eyes turning upward for a moment. So they were in Tori's room. "Huh...could call Sanqui 'Key'." She commented idly, glancing at the baby monitor as well. Alice and Daniella...those must've been the ladies she was seeing around the house. Evari was in fact making a reference to the father's nickname, letting go of Tori to instead link arms with her. "Sure, I can stay the night. If you'll have me~." Evari kissed Tori's cheek.

Tori thought nothing of the suggested nickname. Her mind was on one to many other things. She leaned just enough to grab the monitor, but at the same time still be linked with Evari. "Of course I'll have you," she didn't comment on how wrong that sounded... "If I wouldn't then why would I have invited you?"
With that said she lead Evari towards the dining area. She pulled a chair out for her friend and once she was seated she scooted her in. She moved around the able and sat the monitor near the wine bucket. She fixed Evari's plate and poured two glasses of wine before sitting down herself.
"What have you been up to?" She asked before anything could be said about her not eating. Sure Tori could have, but she really didn't want to. She much preferred just to cook for others and watch them enjoy.

Evari smirked a little at the way Tori's answer was worded. "Ohhh~? Be patient though, no putting me on the table now." Evari teased, kissing Tori's cheek with a shrug to her question. A glance as cast at the monitor, sitting down in the chair offered to her and helping Tori scoot her in. Annnnd there was the monitor again...man, were all new mothers like this? Evari's eyes went to the wine next, raising a brow and looking very interested in that. Liquid courage! Yes please!
Hmmm? What had she been up to? Well...! What had she been up to. Evari looked thoughtful for a moment. "Noooot much...been seeing some girls, nothing serious..y'know...one night things, usually. I'm thinking I'm gonna start learning guitar soon. It'd be nice to write my own music. Ummm...ohoh! My sister? She called me a b***h~." Evari was still amused by that, laughing a bit. "I kinda broke one too many promises to her. But she's giving me one more chance. I'm making it up to her." She really was. She was trying really hard to be better to Tyyne, and so far it was working. Evari leaned over to rest on the edge of the table, stretching her arms out lazily toward Tori. Evari liked touching. "Let's seeee what else...spent time with Rissy...met her brothers...I think Xai's seein' some guy now..." She wasn't sure how she felt about that.
But that was about it, really. All that was noteworthy. Evari hummed quietly, watching Tori for a moment through her hair. She'd ask what Tori had been up to but it was pretty obvious. "Sooooo do they look like daddy dearest?" Kay had wanted to know if she saw them, after all. Maybe if she saw them...she could tell Kay what they looked like...

"I wouldn't put you on the table till after dinner anyways... would be a shame to waist a good meal," she chuckled. One hand occupied itself with the wine glass while the other she used to touch Evari with. It was a decent sized table but nothing to seriously wide, just long.
"For not much you certainly listed a lot," she grinned. "Tyne's growing up nicely then I see. You will probably want to patch things up now rather than later. Later generally just means a wider tear in things and more patch work," she sighed softly. "Your mom deserves a little something special in her life after all she did raise you," she teased.
And, then the topic was back on her kids. For someone who wasn't big on kids she sure was curious. "The little boy looks a lot like his father. The girl not as much. After dinner and before dessert if you like I can take you up stairs to see them..." She was proud of her children and loved to show them off. She just hadn't really pushed it with Evari because she knew her friend wasn't a big fan of small children especially babies.

"I'm all for sex anywhere, but I do prefer beds. They're more comfortable." Evari smiled, watching the hand that was working with the wine. Her fingers traced Tori's other hand with featherlight touches, turning her hand over to tickle at Tori's palm. It was an odd sensation a few girls had done to her but she liked it, she just hoped Tori would feel the same. She laughed and shook her head, raising a brow at Tori's comments. Hey she could've come up with more! But she didn't! There wasn't much!
Evari laughed. "I say the sweetest girl in the whole world calls me a b***h and you say she's growing up nicely? You have a weird definition of nice, doll." She teased, nodding at her observations. Evari was already working on it. She was practically at Tyyne's beck and call; if the deer girl wanted something Evari was there in an instant to attend to whatever it was she needed. But when the topic returned to Xai she frowned a little and shrugged, not really impressed with the teasing for once. She knew that but...but it was her Xai... "Just...scared if she gets hurt...because men are idiots." All of them, even Kay. Though Kay was an idiot she actually liked.
It was true though, for someone who would rather pretend the babies weren't around Evari sure was asking a lot of questions...but they weren't for her; the questions were for Kay's sake. Evari chuckled, her hand going still on Tori's. "Does he even have a skull face and headsnake?" The nickname for Nahual she'd given when she was a toddler would always stick, she'd never drop the 'I want a headsnake' bit. Did she want to see them...? It wouldn't be face if she saw them before Kay...but...maybe if she saw them she could tell Kay what they were like? "Sure, it couldn't hurt." As long as she didn't have to like...do stuff, right? Hold them, play with them...how do you even hold a baby?

"So long as the partners experienced sex is good anywhere," Tori chuckled. "Mater of fact everywhere is better than the same place." Now would probably have ever figured her for that type of girl but she'd learned to let go and give into her wild side. She grinned as Evari played with her free hand.
"Yes, me can be idiots. But, I've learned recently you've got to give them a chance before defining them." As a kid Tori would easily categorize the boys she met. Now it wasn't so easy. Wynn had actually bee the start of that, followed by Quint.
"I suppose the cat is out of the bag. It had to happen sometime," Tori said with a sigh as she moved her free hand away from Evari's. She knew that just one look at them would give it away if you knew the parents but... someone else had told her friend and not her. She picked up the monitor, in some odd fashion it was her way of saying they were her's. She was overly protective of them and it showed like Rudolf's red nose in the midst of a foggy night. "As for a snake, no not yet..."
She sat the monitor down and motioned to the food. "You're going to let it get cold and then it won't be any good."

Evari sighed a bit. She'd given boys plenty of chances, she hadn't met any men that were worth her while. Just...just Kay. He was the only man she'd ever known. She only ever met boys. Boys were no fun, and they were stupid. Tori didn't seem too pleased with Evari now, that Evari knew...or maybe it was just the way she'd done it. Oops! Well she'd kind of tried before but her hint had been too subtle. "He told me himself." Evari said as Tori moved her hand and she sighed, pulling her hand back. "I'm sorry I..." She just didn't find it fair of Tori to do this, but she could never say that to her. While it wasn't Evari's style to hide things and keep things secret and hold back, this time she would. She didn't want to upset Tori. Her eyes flickered to baby monitor when Tori picked it up again, blinking and tilting her head at the answer she got to her question. Not yet? What did not yet mean? Did he have, like, a snake egg or something on his head? Haha! That'd be funny.
Huh? Food? Oh! Oh right! Dinner! Evari chuckled and picked up a fork to give it a twirl in the pasta, picking it up and trying the first bite. Ooooh! It was delicious just like Tori's burgers! Evari made a very happy noise of approval, swallowing and eating some more. See~? See~? Not so bad...really! Oh. Wine. She'd love wine, yes. Liquid courage please be good to her. Eventually Evari slowed down to just watch Tori, frowning a little. "I'm sorry, Tori...I didn't mean to offend you..." She wasn't sure if she did, but she was worried if she had.

"I hope he is doing well," Tori said as she looked away from the table completely. "I made a promise and I intend to keep it." With that said she looked back at Evari as she took a sip of her wine. "A couple promises actually but that is besides the point." She swirled the liquid in her glass idly as she held it.
She knew eventually that people would find out. It wasn't that people knew, it was more who knew. Something in her just didn't want to share her children just yet. Perhaps it was part of that promise she made to Kay. She said she could do it on her own, and the more people that knew... meant the more people that felt Kay should do something about the situation. She inwardly sighed softly.
"Honey you couldn't offend me if you tried," it was honest. Not even calling her a whore would offend her. Hurt her yes, but offend no. With her choices in life she was pretty much use to it all.
"I'm glad you like it. I made fudge for dessert."
