Kinetic Energy
Becuase the rounds are lightweight compared to typical rifle rounds, they are easily deflected. Every shot suffers a -1 modifier when attempting to strike a concealed opponent, and -1 modifier to all armor rolls, except body armor. In addition, the rounds suffer inherent penalties, being stopped by: One thickness of well-packed sandbags, A 2 inch (51 mm) non-reinforced concrete wall, A 55 gallon drum filled with water or sand, A small ammunition can filled with sand, A cinder block filled with sand (block will probably shatter, A plate glass windowpane at a 45° angle (glass fragments may be thrown behind the glass), A brick veneer, A car body (round will penetrate but normally not exit). In reinforced concrete of all types, the 5.56mm are incapable of cutting through the steel rebar, and while they can pierce concrete, they are incapable of going through more than an inch.

Grenade
The weapon essentially fires a grenade, with the damage of the weapon having little effect on the ballistic trajectory. Rather than adding the damage of the weapon to the typical firearm roll, "Firearm Damage + Dexterity + Firearms", instead add two. Essentially, substitute the fire-arm damage for three instead of the various damage levels.

An exceptional success, or 5 successes represents a 5 yard hit. 3 to 4 successes represents a 10 yard hit. Successes under 3 represent a 15 yard range, with no successes obviously representing a clear miss. The weapon, however, still affects the surrounding areas and effects units and the environment accordingly to the grenades position, regardless of the initial targets position.

Basic Information

Equipped with a laser range-finder as well as a ballistics computer, the K11 allows the operator to quickly find the distance to a target and launch an air burst shell. The shell will then detonate a few meters away from the target.[8]

An electronic scope is integrated on the K11; it can be linked to a goggle system with a digital display. The display can be used during nighttime with thermal imaging, and shows the range information from the laser range-finder.

The weapon is compatible with standard 20- or 30-round 5.56 mm NATO magazines, and can hold 6-round magazines of 20 mm shells, at one time.[9]

The weapon was adopted by the Republic of Korea Armed Forces in 2008 and it is planned for distribution within the Republic of Korea Army in 2010. When this happens it will be the world's first army to use an airburst rifle as standard issue in the military.[3] Each squad is reported to be issued two K11s, though it will not replace grenadiers who currently use K2 rifles with the underslung K201 grenade launcher.[3]
