Lost.
Not Merry. Merry knew where she was. Lucas, however, was nowhere to be found. She had lost him, the one person in the world who mattered. And if she couldn't find him...
"Chiiime!" the pokemon cried, flitting back and forth and around corners, her worry overwhelming her. What if something happened? What if he needed her help? What if he got hurt? "Chiiiiimme!"
The little gray and blue creature quivered slightly as she searched. What if something happened...?

Noel had sometimes wondered, in the occasional moments she wasn't fully wrapped up in being Noel, whether or not she was lost. It had been a while since she had floated away from Hayes to investigate something she no longer recalled, but she recognized this corridor and in any case Switch would be along eventually to fetch her back. If she didn't break anything and put things back where she found them, it was generally all right, so Noel decided she wasn't lost quite yet.
Her explorations were halted by a tearful tintinnabulation from down the hall. "Ching?" The little Pokemon stopped mid-bobble, wide mouth parting with concern, then continued forward in search of it. "Chingling!" This wouldn't do - this wouldn't do at all, moreso than usual owing to an innate empathy for her evolved form.
She was rather surprised when something whizzed around a corner, knocking her back with a surprised jingle. "Ching!"

Merry tumbled backwards from the impact, rubbing at her head and confused by the collision. She could have sworn she went around the corner, not into it- Oh, it was a Chingling. Normally Merry would retreat to Lucas' shadow on being faced with a stranger, but the fact that this stranger was her pre-evolved form, she was a little more at ease- Lucas! Where was Lucas?!
"Chiiiiime!" she cried out once more, turning in circles in hopes she would spot the man.
