To be honest? Thebetho had long ago forgotten the female's name despite the fact that he was now working very hard to find a nice shiny stone to give her to further woo her into his favor. He was so busy in fact that he wouldn't notice anyone else wandering up to the 'nameless' nearby sunning female leopard as he continued to seek the stone quite happily and confident that she was not going anywhere nor was she going to start paying attention to another male. Right now it wasn't anything serious it was just staking out potentials of those he might one day mate with.
Honestly he wouldn't know what to do with her if she wanted anything further. He was just being a young, easily 'seduced' male doing whatever the female in question wanted of him. This included finding her something 'pretty' on demand.
It would be a harsh lesson learned if for instance someone stole her away or worse she just got bored with him and walked off. Thebetho paused at a moment and then started to walk faster just in case she was one of those flighty females.

 Hantan had followed a very intriguing scent the whole morning and was only now starting to approach the source. It was definitely female and oddly alluring... There were other scents on the trail she ahd walked, other leopard scents, but despite his usual caution he ignored them as he honed in on the female. Much like the rival he had yet to spot, he wouldn't really know what to do with a female once he “got” her. Nevertheless his instincts told him that this was something he wanted a piece off. Err... somehow.
By now he could actually see the female too, she was sprawled out on a large rock in the sun looking pretty. It was a fully grown female by the looks of it and Hantan'gang sat down in the grass debating his next step. He was pretty sure he was supposed to do something, but his mouth was suddenly dry and he felt the need to compose himself and possibly come up with some kind of plan before proceeding.

He didn't need a moment to compose himself he quietly approached and sat down before the female though she didn't seem to notice him just yet. His tail twitched a bit in anticipation as he wondered how he would introduce himself to her and when he took in a breath he noted something was off a difference in the air that he hadn't noticed before until just now -- there was another male in the area. He suddenly backed away from the female and then started to look around for the interloper.
Thebetho had seen the female first and he intended to have first chance at ... whatever he wanted to have a first chance at. It wasn't like he planned THAT far ahead. He just wanted to get near her first before he could figure out what was going to happen.
The pale yellow leopard stalked the area for the other male cautiously in case they were bigger and could possibly have the upper paw, which he doubted very much.

And just like that someone else made up Hantan's mind for him. Between one blink and another a young leopard was already heading for the leopardess, and his window of opportunity was quickly closing. He rose and started walking toward the other male. A rival, now that was something he could handle. Much easier than the actual lady handling, since he had been in fights before and knew what was expected of him. His mother hadn't explained much about what males and females did together and when a male leopard had started to show interest in her he had simply left home. It was high time to move out on his own after all, and much more tempting than to get beat up by an adult male that wanted to get close to his mother...
"Hey," he called, just as the male turned his way, "I was here first."
In reality he didn't have a clue if the other had been there first or not, and he didn't care. Instead he puffed himself up best he could and walked slowly with stiff legs to look bigger and more menacing than he was.
