 Daniel trudged down a hallway that he had yet to explore, tracing his steps on a piece of paper. It was far too easy to get lost in this hell hole, and he'd be damned, even further, before he'd let that happen. What had he done to deserve being stuck in here?
With each step, the old floor creaked beneath his weight. His large tail dragged behind him, leaving a streak in the dust. If anyone were to look for him, they'd easily find him. Something that he cursed as it was a vulnerability that he had yet to find a way to fix. Of course if someone came looking, and he didn't care for said someone, he could easily defend himself. Unless that someone were a doctor....
He came to a stop, a memory of his last run in with one of the doctors flashing within his mind. It was not something that he wanted to repeat.
A dark figure darted across the floor in front of him, causing his ears to shoot up. It was a rat, a very big rat. How the hell was it that this place hadn't been condemned?! Weren't there health codes?

 Oh yes, it was very easy to get lost in this place and, despite having been there at the Asylum for a good two weeks or so, Aiyana was still having problems with navigation. In fact, on her way back to her room, she had somehow made a wrong turn. It's not a big deal, She had thought to herself when she finally realized her mistake, I'll just turn back and find my way back that way.
Just like in a horror movie, the "simple plan" didn't quite work out as she had hoped. Aiyana found--after walking for a while--that the hallways in the asylum all...well, looked very much identical. The same walls, the same floors, and she could swear that even the scratches on the walls that she was currently walking past were the same as those five minutes ago. Sometimes she would come to a little intersection, and she would stand there helplessly for a minute or two before finally deciding on a direction to take.
...She was lost, that was for certain.
T-this place is definitely larger than I initially expected, She chewed on her bottom lip a bit anxiously, her gaze darting around warily, Maybe I could just knock on the next door I find and ask somebody for help--! Aiyana jerked backwards, yelping instinctively when a large rat scampered in front of her, pausing to stare with beady eyes before it ran off again. "G-geez! This place is filled with rats too?!"

Compelled to follow the rat, Daniel quickly followed. Dust kicking up in the air from his movements. Why? He honestly couldn't tell you. Maybe he had just gotten that bored...
The yelp drew him back to reality, and when he saw who it had came from he, almost let out a yelp of his own. How the hell did I not notice her sooner? Mentally chastising himself, Daniel stood back, gazing at the familiar figure. He should've been expecting a run in with someone he knew. After all, not long after he'd arrive, fellow experiments began pouring into the place like water escaping through a broken pipe. But here he was, gawking at one like an idiot.
"It's got more than just rats dudette," piped up Daniel in what he hoped was a smooth manner. Had to try and recapture some of his dignity.
