The large home Quinn owns with a small cottage out back where Shannon, his assistant lives. Quinn spends his mornings in the greenhouse, reading and editing things he wrote the previous day. (Yes I realize it is the Rose Red mansion, lol)

Ace was brought up the steps to her new master's home still tied up. she had bruises on her. "i swear to **** god if you don't let me go and give me my ******gun im gonna kill you!" she shouted angrlly as the gaurd knocked on the door.

Of self conclusion in one simplified motion Quinn chewed the end of his pencil as he sat with his feet propped up on the table in the greenhouse, a piping hot cup of coffee next to his ankle. He tilted his head from side to side, reading and re-reading the things he'd wrote the previous night. He sighed and squeezed his eyes shut.
"This one sucks," he muttered and threw his notebook on the table and let his feet fall to the ground. You see the trick is that you're never supposed to act on it
No matter how unbearable this misery gets

It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive Shannon looked up from the newspaper. She silently folded it and set it down. She sipped her tea and pushed her glasses up the bridge of her nose. She finally looked over at Quinn.
"Stop it, you say that about every poem you read, but then, I turn around and you've got it published and a royalty check is in the mail, but" she pushed herself from the table and stood, "I have to go see about something, don't hurt yourself while I'm away," she said and grinned, grabbing her purse from the back of her chair. Quinn smirked and waved her away as he started writing in his notebook. Shannon had just let herself into the kitchen when she heard the knock on the front door. She sighed and walked briskly through the house and to the door. She opened it and shielded her eyes from the light.
"Uhm, hello, can I help you?" she asked, squinting into the light, then her cheeks reddened some, it seems her surprise for Quinn was early. So live for the moment

 Ace looked up at the girl who answered the door. the gaurd pulled out papers and showed them to the girl. "i need you too sign these miss." he said and tugged Ace closer.

It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive Shannon squeaked when the papers flew into her hands. She took the pen and nervously signed them. She pushed her glasses back up her nose and handed the papers back.
"Uhm, here you go...please let her go and kindly leave," she said in a quiet tone and forced a smile. So live for the moment

The gaurds nodded and gave her the leash before leaving. Ace growled softly and glared up at the girl. "So. what am i gonna be used for?" she asked trying to hide her annoyance."

It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive Shannon began to question her decision to order a slave. She quickly dropped the leash and rubbed her hands together. She glanced behind her, glad Quinn was still occupied. She shifted her weight.
"Ah, uhm, well...it's slightly complicated...would you come in please, I'm Shannon by the way," she said with a shy smile and held her hand out, she wondered if the girl would even shake it or just ignore it. So live for the moment

Ace looked at the hand with a distrusting look. She looekd back up at Shannon silently. she bit her lower lip trying not to flip out on her.

It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive Shannon let her hand fall to her side and smiled awkwardly. She shifted her weight nervously again and reached up, fumbling with her necklace.
"Would you like something to eat or drink before I introduce you to Quinn?" she asked the girl nervously. Shannon wasn't good with new people, let alone ones with prickly attitudes, they always made her nervous. So live for the moment

Ace sighed and shook her head. "no thank you. i'm sorry about my attitude im new to this slave thing..." she said and bowed her head trying to look respectful,planning her escape.

It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive Shannon smiled slightly and reached to gently pat Ace's shoulder. She didn't think about it as she retracted her hand. She blushed slightly.
"That's alright, I-I'm new to it as well, please, come in, you'll have to meet my employer, Quinn," she said and moved some more into the house indicating Ace to follow her. So live for the moment

Bound in chains, Fausto arrived at the front of the large mansion. He struggled to get out of the guards' grasp, but the chains and ropes were too tightly wound around him. "Let me go, you stupid gorillas," he growled at them as she tried to kick them in the shins. Unsuccessful in doing so, he stopped, going limp after one guard pushed into a pressure point in his neck.
Indifferently, they guards dropped him on the hard, cold cement and looked at each other, shrugging. One started to knock on the door and scream, "Slave delivery! Take him while he's still knocked out cold!" The other guard continued to ring the doorbell repeatedly, which became so tedious that it could cause a headache in seconds. "We've got your slave! Get him now! He won't hurt you if you get here soon enough!"
The yelling, banging, and doorbell-ringing gave Fausto such a terrible headache that he soon came to his senses. Deciding to take them by surprise, he bit the guards each in their ankles as he continued to twist around in his ropes. "Let me go, you morons! Let me go, or else! There's definitely more where that came from! You can bet your sorry lives on that one, you monsters!" He continued to scream, half in English, half in Spanish, his second language.

It's that moment in life when you actually feel alive Shannon jumped at the sudden and incessant banging and doorbell ringing. She made a noise in the base of her throat and turned back to the door. She looked at Ace.
"Uhm, I have no clue what this all about..." she said and opened the door and stepped back from the chaos, "Oh my!" she gasped. So live for the moment

Ace growled at the boys screaming. she rolled her eyes at him. 'god he's so annoying' she thought and watched the boy struggle.
