Time in a Bottle

- Jim Croce -

If I could save time in a bottle
The first thing that I'd like to do
Is to save every day 'til eternity passes away
Just to spend them with you

If I could make days last forever
If words could make wishes come true
I'd save every day like a treasure and then
Again, I would spend them with you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go through time with

If I had a box just for wishes
And dreams that had never come true
The box would be empty except for the memory
Of how they were answered by you

But there never seems to be enough time
To do the things you want to do once you find them
I've looked around enough to know
That you're the one I want to go through time with....

Time cannot be destroyed....

Hello there! From this paper, the one you have recieved and are hopefully reading right now, I bid you a warm and heart felt pleasure to meet you, sir/madam!

...Thank god that's done with; I never was very good at those humane gestures, so let's just get down to brass tacks, shall we? Come to think of things, why brass? Right, so let's get to the tacks of whatever color you prefer; the point of my writing to you, of you reading this, is that I know something about you that others do not. For years, you've seen them; the cracks in the sidewalk that aren't just cracks, the places in your whitewash where things should never overlap. They glow; from the other side they whisper to you, in a language nobody else seems quite to understadnd, am I right? Of course I'm right. What follow are the facts, the truths that may or may not haunt your nights (they could very well haunt your daytimes as well; it just depends on the prefered time of day for the hauntings, you see).

Myself: I am who I am, but I have long since gone by many names. Lord of Time, Hero, The Keeper, The Watcher. But I'm just The Doctor. I watch over the proceedings of the everything, you see; the past, the present and the future. A time machine? Of course I have one. But that isn't terribly important, is it? No, stop gawking at the paper that changes as you think to yourself; and you, don't dare throw this in the trashcan. Your dog won't eat it either. You: well, perhaps you could be my apprentice; after all, I've lived long but nobody can last forever. That just wouldn't be right! I've sent these messages to a few other lucky people, just like you. You might remember some fraction of me in your little mind. We have traveled in time together, fought off Daleks, saved the Earth and etc. But for now I will teach you how to stop those dreadful little cracks, for they are the places where two spots should have never touched.

But by now, the time that you have read this I will not be myself. I will be known as a man called John Smith. I am hiding from somethings that I wish not to put in this letter. You will find me as a Lord, or the clock shop keeper, a teacher, a policeman, or a scientists. I'm not sure which one my human self will be but I know that I will be one of those five. I will have a pocketwatch that must not be opened. You will know when the time is right trust me. I will slowly reawken on my own becuase of something that you will find out in the future. But for now just find me, take care of me. And never ever let me leave you. Is that understood? Now, there is one more VERY important thing that could mean life or death. ANd that is NEVER EVER let me eat pears. I HATE Pears! Now that's over with. I will be in the town of Straford upon Avon. Lovely town, I'm so glad I got to stay here in my human form. So have fun and Good Luck.

- The Doctor
...But over and over, it can be borrowed.

From start to finish.. To make this short, I'm the last of the Time Lord's. And I travel all over time and space. But lately some thing's have been giving me trouble so I used my pocket watch to turn me into a human. Or like a human, I have sent a letter to many people that will be helping me out. Hopfully they listen to what I say. Straford is very nice and I turned out to be a unemployed actor! Who would of thought? I certainly thought I was smart enough not to be unemployed oh but I love the theater! I live in a small apartment next to the river with a great veiw! It's fun to go attack the ducks. But in the end I guess it's alright to be unemployed since I don't know how money works anyways. Now that I think about it, how do I evan keep my apartment...... Well anyway's I better stop writing in this blog since I need to go. Allons-y a le theatre!
Love it! ducks, bananas, acting, writing storys in my journel, cute girls, science, history, policeboxes, plays, jokes, dogs
Get it away! pears, creepy old men, alchohal, cigerettes, smoke, having to hurt someone, not being able to afford something, cats
Don't tell anyone! I have a very strong bond to my pocketwatch. If someone touches it I won't hesitate to take action. I get very uncomfertable when someone mentions 'Bad Wolf' and I have a fear of myself.
Play it again! Written in the Stars
I think I love you... nope that was a joke
Anything else? Banana cream pie will put you on my favorite person list immediatly

My name is... Blake Crowe
I am quite obviously a... male
And I was born 15 years ago, in Glasgow, Scotland.
And they tell me I'm... strange, a loner, awkward, and random.
From start to finish.. I woke up one day, and there was a letter just taped to my forehead. I've seen The Doctor and his blue box a few times. I was extraordinarily excited, though I wasn't completely sure why. I grabbed my bag and skateboard and set off to find him.
Love it! Skating, music, science, history, bananas, and language.

Get it away! Posers, guns, street gangs, and people who act like they're better than everyone else.
Don't tell anyone! I hate small, cramped spaces as well as a fear of being bludgeoned.
Play it again! I'm just a kid by Simple Plan
I think I love you... Nah. Why would I like somebody I know doesn't like me?
Anything else? I've had to injure countless people to save myself.

Hullo, I'm Rose. Who are you?

My name is... Rose Marion Tyler

I am quite obviously a... Female

And I was born 24 years ago, in London, England

And they tell me I'm... Sweet, gentle, sympathetic, wry, moody, depressive, violent, unpredictable...

From start to finish.. I am Rose Tyler from a dimension parallel to the Doctor's. I am identical to his version of Rose with one tiny exception... my Doctor is dead, he died protecting the Earth in the Medusa Cascade about a year and a half ago.

Five years ago, I traveled with the Doctor, I saw distant worlds galaxies away from ours. Sadly it all ended badly in the battle or Canary Wharf. I escaped with my life but ended up separated from the Doctor and locked away in a separate dimension. Soon after I had the opportunity to cut through the worlds and rejoin the Doctor, but once again, my happiness was short-lived. While he did save the universe from Davros and the Daleks, he was killed by the ships' Reality Bomb. After the fight, I returned to my Dad's dimension and after a few months I resumed my position in that Earth's version of Torchwood. After searching in vain for a version of the Doctor in this reality, I resigned myself to the fact that he was gone forever.

Torchwood payed good money and I eventually climbed the ranks to Captain of the unit. One day my team and I were inspecting strange cracks in space straight in the middle of Bad Wolf Bay when we came upon a letter and pieces of debris charred by the time vortex. I will admit I kept the existence of the letter hidden but after reading it, I had made up my mind. I knew right away that Torchwood command would not approve so I acted in secret and stole a modified dimension manipulator. I took as many things as I would need for an extended stay in this parallel world and slipped through the crack. The result was instantaneous, the crack sealed itself but I was stuck in a foreign world I knew nothing about.

But this world had the Doctor, so I did not feel alone. He may not be my Doctor, but he needs me and I need him. I swear, I won't fail him this time. This time, I will keep him safe.

Love it! Technology, astronomy, cooking, writing, fixing things, police boxes, cats, strange old odds and ends, traveling, gummy candy, her sonic screwdriver

Get it away! Daleks and Cybermen (not that I like my other enemies, it's just that these two are particularly frightening to me), cigarette smoke, excessively loud music, hot days, spiders/bugs in general, anyone/anything that threatens the Doctor

Don't tell anyone! I have a fear of being alone, which ironically enough I already live through every day. I also have an insane fear of Daleks and Cybermen... I say insane because I immediately reach for the nearest weapon and start shooting until they're little piles of dented metal... Its happened before. Ianto decided to dress up as a Cyberman for Torchwood's yearly costume ball... he wouldn't talk to me for a week after that, don't ask... just don't. sweatdrop

Play it again! Knights Of Cydonia by Muse

I think I love you... Doctor

Anything else? Banana Cream Pie will get you shot unless it's a joke and you have Apple Pie or some sort of Cheesecake behind your back...

My name is... Amelia Pond
I am quite obviously a... female
And I was born 22 years ago, in Scotland
And they tell me I'm... Funny, smart, caring, helpful
From start to finish.. I met the doctor when I was seven years old. He arrived at my house and I told him about the long crack in my wall. He told me that this crack was not an ordinary crack and that it was a crack in time. I traveled space and time with him and then forgot about it. I got the letter when I woke up a week ago on my pillow and have been traveling to find him again. I remember having a crush on the doctor and now that I remember him I still kind of like him...
Love it! the doctor, adventures, new things
Get it away! sad things, not being busy, evil things
Don't tell anyone! I always feared that no one would believe me or what I say and think I'm crazy.
Play it again! Alice- Avril lavigne

Hello, my name Annalyssa. Everyone calls Anna though.
My name is... Annalyssa Titova
I am quite obviously a... female
And I was born twenty years ago, in Moscow, Russia.
And they tell me I'm... quiet, and nervous, but bold, and determined.
From start to finish.. I'm a simple, average girl who was born in Russia and raised there for most of my childhood. I spent the rest of my life in the lovely England, a very slight English accent mixing with my native one. I had difficulties adjusting to the new country and school, since no one actually taught me English. I studied the language on my own, trying my best to learn it though I didn't do so well.

Around the age of five I began speaking of the cracks that I saw, but often I was physically punished for doing so and deemed insane by many kids. Years of punishment and many many trips to various mental hospitals and doctors, taught me not speak of them, though they did indeed bother me to no end. After a while, the trips to doctors and hospitals came to an end. I cannot remember the last time I slept without dreams of creatures that no imaginatin could create, without terrifying words in a cryptic language whispered into my ears and drilled into my memory. Slowly, I myself began to deem myself insane, and went to many doctors and psychiatrist. Nothing helped, and I never was diagnosed with insanity or any other mental disorder for that matter.

Love it! Photography, painting, sketching, string orchestra classical music, writing, computers, and silence.
Get it away! People who prod me with questions, people who are quick to judge, those who will not take the time to listen to others, people in general, cracks, whispers, and abandoned buildings.
Don't tell anyone! Cracks scare the crap out of me, I don't even like speaking or hearing of them. Also, I'm scared of the dark, incredibley scared.
Play it again! Wind by Akeboshi.
I think I love you... no one
Anything else? Though my English is poor, I can make it mostly understandable...after a time. I minored in computer networking and majored in writing during my time at uni.
The puppetmaster... Nullified Soul

John Smith was running through the raining streets with his messanger bag and hood on. It was a very cold rain that went right through you. John loved the rain but not when it was this cold. He stopped underneath the shelter of a cafe along with other people. He could hear the chatter of people and the sound of tea cups hitting the small plates. His stomach growled loudly but he couldn't do anything about it. He was broke once again, spent it all on books. The rain got harder so he sat down on one of the chairs in the cafe and took out one of the books that he had got. He pulled out one of the books that looked very old. He had gotten it at the antique shop along with the rest. But this book drew him in, it had a strange symbol on the front. He opened the front page where there was a lot of writing in a different language that he sorta understood. On the next page there was a strange drawing of some machine that he had never sceen before.

It was pouring, and even THAT felt like an understatement. Rose had fallen through time and space and landed in a deluge. She'd rushed to the nearest shelter and spent the night there shivering and cursing her luck. This trip was not starting off as planned. She soon realized how utterly impossible it was to find someone when you didn't have a picture of them. After a miserable first day she dragged herself and her duffel bag into the nearest antique shop. She wasn't foolish enough to think her money would be any good in this world but sure enough, she managed to pawn off a few of her collection to the man behind the counter. She would sorely miss her books but at the moment, eating, and surviving long enough to find the Doctor was more important.

And so she found herself in a Cafe staring at her tea and wondering where the Doctor could be found. She closed her eyes and began listing probabilities when a loud sort of growling interrupted her thoughts. She blinked and instinctively reached for her hip though she carried no gun... and then she saw him. A whole day of searching, and the man just decided to take a seat in front of her and... was that her book he was reading?! Her throat went dry as her heart raced. Even if it wasn't HER Doctor it was enough to make her want to hug the poor man and never let him go. Instead, she cleared her throat to get his attention.

"You really should keep that book out of the rain. It's about 100 years old," she said hoping to strike up a conversation.
PostPosted: Sun Oct 24, 2010 11:23 pm

John did not hear her and was looking intently. Although he could not understand the language he just couldn't put it down. It was like something inside him clicked when he saw the picture. He heard the women speak and looked up. "Oh! I'm so sorry! I din't relize someone was sitting here!" he said while getting up quickly and putting the book in his bag. He looked around then back at the women. There was something about her that attracted him to her.

Rose's neutral expression dropped for a moment and a sad looked flickered through her eyes before she composed herself. She wasn't about to let him just walk away after going through all the trouble of tracking him down.

"Oi! I'm not going to bite," she told him with a small laugh, "I don't mind a little company while the rain lets up. I'm Rose, what's your name?"

She placed her elbows on the table and folded her hands beneath her chin.

"That book you were looking at... d'you get it at the antique shoppe?" she asked with a knowing smile.

Blake was walking very slowly through the rain. He looked up at the dark grey sky and smiled a bit. He always loved stormy weather. It reminded him of his old home. He saw a cafe nearby. "I should get some tea, or summat..." he thought. He walked into the shop and pulled his wallet out. He could feel the eyes following him disdainfully. Before he reached the counter though, he spotted a strangely familiar face out of the corner of his eye. He spun quickly to get a better look at the man. "Is that who I think it is?" He walked over to the table and stood a few feet away, feeling slightly more awkward than he usually did.

"John, John Smith" he said while sitting down and looking uncomferatable when she asked about the book. He thought that she had figured that he stole it. "I'm sorry I'll return it! I just ran out of money and I din't know what to do!" he said with a giving up tone. "I'll give you anything! Just don't tell the police!" he said beggingly with a loud wisper.
PostPosted: Tue Oct 26, 2010 9:14 pm

Rose stared at him in disbelief... surely he hadn't... Oh my god he did... HE STOLE IT!!!

She laughed then, and it was a soft gentle sound. It was as if all her sorrow had vanished in that moment. Of course he'd lifted it, she wouldn't expect anything else from him.

"Don't worry John, I won't rat you out. I'm just glad my book ended up in the hands of someone who genuinely likes it and not some snobby old rich guy's library," she smiled at him, "I had to sell it. Broke my heart but a girl's got to eat, y'see."

Just then the waiter arrived with a plate of fish and chips. She had guessed by now he was hungry, and judging by the fact that he didn't have any money...

"Ugh... I can't eat all this... think you could do me a favor and take half?" she asked before taking a sip of tea.

His eye's lit up and he took the food like a fox and started to gobble it down like a turkey. While eating quickly he looked up at her with a questioning look. "So this is your book? Where did you get it?" he said with a full mouth.
