sadly, your bayonet isnt mine. but yours could look like mine if you used old spice body wash do a little tinkering basically what i've done was taken my old M4 bayonet and melted off the plastic handle. next I proceeded to bend the hand guard and barrel ring upward (it still fits nicely in the sheath) then I went ahead and wrapped the handle. I could have used paracord but I decided to experiment with a little foliage/sage green boot lace and wrapped it in a twisted fashion. this allowed it to strech some and it actually has pretty much adhered itself to the tang now I left a portion of the tang bare as a sort of glass breaker. also I should probably mention that the barrel ring actually functions a lot better than jimping and allows perfect grip for a very forceful thrust so there you have it, an old M4 bayonet re-purposed into a thrower/fighting/field knife opinions?

what a regular m4 bayonet looks like. mine is now less bulky than original also, I dont have an M1 carbine to mount the bayonet on, so im not totally worried about taking away it's ability to mount onto one

I can't even remove the bayonet on my Yugo SKS...it's in to good.
But I did get the crazy one off my M44, cause state law said I can't have it on if I go hunting with it...I am so off it goes.

Personally, I prefer the one-and-a-half foot long Mosin bayonet. Not much of a zombie killer, but you can practically impale your enemy across the battlefield without even leaving your trench.

Did you take off the original handle and wrap the thing in your musty old shoe laces?

I had the idea of mounting my Mosin bayonet to a wooden handle or something to make some kind of stabby "dagger" thing. I mean, I don't have any reason to put it on the rifle, and nothing to do with it otherwise...

HelloJohnnyBlade Did you take off the original handle and wrap the thing in your musty old shoe laces? noooo. a while back I bought some foliage/sage green boot lace from the PX because it was cheap thinking I'd use it for something else. and had it lying around so I said why not? it's fresh lace I melted off the original handle

I don't really need to worry about that, considering that the Mosin with bayonet attached is actually an inch taller than me.
