I myself prefer the new ones cause I like the art and the story better. I decided to take a look at some old shows to compare them with the ones I have watched and noticed how much the style has changed. For example, the stories were so much simpler and the artstyle was much more cartoonish. I'm interested what you guys think about it. :3

It depends. I do love how the art has improved over the years. But some old animes can't be beat, like original episodes of Lupin the Third!!

I'll always be thankful to the old school anime for starting it all, but new is better.

I like the new because of the art. The old art style buggs me because it seams.........unreal and the voice acting has improved so much.

I love some newer ones, Full Metal Alchemist and Bleach - for example. But, I love the original Dragon Ball, Yu-gi-oh season zero, Gurren Lagann, Evangelion, and those types of things. I feel that you can't replace the awesome that was made before the newer things. But, that may just be me.

It depends, but I like old ones a little bit more, because old ones had better storylines, and better arts, for example Dragon Ball, Sailor Moon, Versailles no Bara, Candy Candy, Akage no Anne, etc. OK, they weren't so modern, because those arts were made by hand, but were much more realistic. But there are of course bad old animes as well, just like good ones.
New arts are so... how should I put it... simple. It looks like, that most of the girls and boys have to have a cute, round face, big eyes, etc. They are boring.
But there are good new animes with good art and story, for example Kuroshitsuji, Ayashi no Ceres, Higurashi no naku koro ni.

Sometimes I don't like new art, because almost every character looks like the same. For example in Clanned, every boys and girls are cute with round face, big gentle eyes, and even the adults look like kids.
