Oh noes, now I don't know if I should get it for DS, Wii, or BOTH. However am I going to choose?

This particular Rune Factory game is not for the DS. Wii and PS3 only. xD
It hasn't even been released in Japan yet so I have lots of time to get a Wii knowing Natsume's "speedy translations".

Wait, the Rune Factory 3 game I pre-ordered that you told me about before is a Wii version, not a DS one? Oh. I didn't even know. That's even better!

The one you pre-ordered is for the DS.

Well that's what I'm saying! Do I really NEED to get both of them? Are they completely different games, or are their plots/characters, etc similar? Because if they're not all that different, I don't see why I wouldn't just get the console version since console versions tend to be better.
