History:Shedrawn was the only son of a Harper, Koldram and his wife Shella. Shedrawn's father often left on Harper buisness so the boy was raised mostly by his mother, who although she was not a Harper herself had great respect for their ways. She passed this respect on to her son or at least she tried to. Shedrawn spent many of his younger pre-apprentice years cooking with his mother. This made a close bond between mother and son, enough so that Shedrawn trusts her more than any other person alive. She gave him the notion to protect those smaller than himself when he could and also taught him to learn a lot about your enemy, so that when a confrontation came you could be ready to protect yourself more easily. When he left his mother to be an apprentice Harper it left a hole that no amount of music could fill within him. Still he stuck through it so as not to disappoint his father. Shedrawn put the lessons his mother had taught him in to action at the Harper Hall. He would provide what protection he could to those smaller than him, and in return they would listen in on many different people and fill him in on what they heard. In this way Shedrawn almost always had the upper hand on almost any of the other apprentices. His underlings used to joke that he knew their secrets before they did.

When it came to Harper lessons it was soon found that Shedrawn had an average singing voice, (if that), and probably would never excel to great heights vocally. He unreasonably blamed on his teacher, who often experienced small harmless pranks when Shedrawn was around, like having a cold cup of klah where a warm one had just previously sat. These pranks usually occured during uneffective singing lessons. Therefore Shedrawns focus was set on the instruments of the Harperhall. His major problem in this area was his clumsiness. It was found that he didn't last long with the drums, as they were too easy to knock over,(yes even the big ones). Thankfully no one ever got seriously hurt beyond squashed toes. A mortally embarrassed Shedrawn finally found his calling with pipes and flutes. Which incidentally posed no threat to people's toes. Shedrawn could be found at night time quietly practicing soothing melodies and cleverly composing new ones.His pipe making skills were quite good and some of his works were even stamped for sale at Gather. In fact it was his piping that caught the blue search dragon's attention in the first place. He had been playing his pipes away from the clouds of people moving between their classes. He was enjoying an extremely rare break from lessons and chores when the blue rider who had just landed approached him. He had been enamored with dragons ever since, and with great hope flew to Malvren Weyr with his reed pipes.

Description:Shedrawn is 5'7 and growing like a weed making his body thin. He has clear mocca skin and dark brown hair bordering on black. He has a straight nose, a square jaw and startling mahogany eyes which he had inherited from his father. Overall he is a handsome young man who has not quite adjusted to his new and increasing height. This makes him gangly and awkward. His hair is a little long but not shaggy by any means, and he constantly runs his fingers through it to keep it in place.

Personality:Shedrawn loves to be challenged mentally and finds great delight in making his opponent squirm openly. He has a fierce calculating wit and is not opposed to bribery or blackmail to achieve his goal. He is manipulative to a fault as well as arrogant. He can be quite opinionated in discussions and may talk people into saying things they did not mean. He knows what he wants and works hard to get it. He is a gossip monger as well. The only people immune to his sharp tongue are those of high authority and children. Children he sees as to innocence and undevious to compete with him and he still has a need to protect them. He likes children because everything they do is so dramatic, this and the fact that they can look at something and not see all the ways they can manipulate it, something that Shedrawn cannot do. He has yet to find a close friend, mostly because he has trust issues with people his age. It will perhaps be easier at the Weyr where he doesnt have inside info on everybody.

Other:Shedrawn is afflicted with a covetous nature and a will to get what he wants. When he isnt playing pipes or flutes he is probably making one.

Shedrawn also has good points as well he is well organized and a good leader, (not many people can easily control a large group of children). Shedrawn can be depended upon when the task at hand is serious, and important. He doesn't mess around with serious things. He is very good with children and seems to get along okay with older people. He is sypathetic with children and compassionate about their safety. He has the potential to make a good bond with a partner (weyrmate) and/or an animal.With the being who cracks his heart he has the potential to be tender loving and protective.
