 With all due respect, I have one word for you: I think I'm going to do a weekly song discussion, and edit the topic to whatever song it is for that week. What you do here is exactly what the title says: discuss any and all aspects of said song. <3
This week's song: Rolling Girl

 With all due respect, I have one word for you: So... did anybody else not feel very happy about this song? I mean, it almost made me want to cry. At least in the beginning it did. Otherwise, it's one of my favorite, happy-good-mood songs. <3 Also, I would LOVE I repeat- LOVE to see a cosplay of Butter-Rin and Pink Spider. LOVE.Die

Hehe, Pink Spider's one of my favorite songs of Rin's. Her voice is meant for these types of songs, imo. The producer/artist/etc behind this song made another song like it, called the Tomboyish Princess (or something like that), but I could only find the dub version of that song in Youtube. It used to be in someone's account, but youtube shut that account down for copyright infringement (which I am rather surprised for). e_e;
Back to Pink Spider... It's a happy "pick me up" type of song. XD The child-like drawings are a plus. Not sure why they chose the color pink. What's the meaning behind the color, I wonder? :0

 With all due respect, I have one word for you: I fully agree; songs like this seem to be the best for Rin. <3 And I'll have to look up that song O: Even if there aren't any translations. Hehe. Indeed! Why pink? Pink may add on to the childish drawings, because normally when I think of pink, I think of some little girl playing princess. In other words, I think it to be a rather childish color. (...though I'm pretty fond of it myself.)
One thing about the song that I was a little surprised with was that Rin was a butterfly. You'd think that a butterfly would get caught in the web and eaten, but she was just : D the whole time. I would have thought there'd be more story behind her being so friendly to the spider, but there is none. She just flies in and is like, "OHAITHUR." Which to me just adds to the cute innocence of it. But that was one of the things that made me a little sad in the beginning of the song. Cause maybe what happened was that Rin got caught in his web and pulled a 1001 Nights thing, where, to keep the spider's interest and stay alive, she told him about the outside world. That's just a dark theory though. ;D Die

I still have Rin's version in my ipod (darn it, mp4 file), but the only video I could find on youtube is a cover by Prism... Song of Phosphorus Tomboy Princess. It's not like I don't like her voice, it's cute and all, but I prefer Rin's voice for the song. It's less cartoonish (irony). xd I guess pink is an innocent color and most suitable for children, just like how parents go for baby pink/blue or colors that aren't too bold for the child's eye. :0 Going by the first set of lyrics (before the chorus), and pretending I didn't see the visuals, I could see why you have a dark theory. The happy mood kinds of take me out of that though. I see it more like, Rin seeking comfort/company via the Pink Spider, because they both are oddly colored, and is considered the black sheep to the world out there. Rin being homesick, would pull her new friend out of the dark room and show him how beautiful the world actually is. Of course, in the end, I would think they scurry back to the dark den. xd

 With all due respect, I have one word for you: That's adorable! I think there's another song I have in my favorites that's just pure adorable.. -digdig- Kay, I can't find it. But whatever.
I like your theory-idea for the song better. <3 Die

It's a good song. I think the reason why Rolling Girl got so popular was because it's a song that has themes that a lot of people can relate to. I love how chaotic it is, I've noticed that fast chaotic-sounding backing music seems to be a consistant trait of wowaka's songs.
I always thought the song was about a girl with self-destructive tendencies or depression, who was eventually saved by someone in the end. I'm probably off though.
