Hairpins keeping her hair up into a loose bun while her bangs were swept to a side, Lizzy had on a plain black dress that fanned out slightly at the waist, paired with a transparent white scarf that looked like it was used more as an accessory than for warmth. Sitting with her legs dangling over the edge of the armchair, slip-on shoes laying beneath her bare feet, Lizzy seemed focused on the open book laying on her lap. Anyone who attended 'Curses, Hexes, and Spells with Professor Grimm' would recognize the worn out, leather-bound book - it was one of the three "important texts" she had distributed to the students present in class. Surprisingly, Lizzy actually found its contents interesting; there was so more to magic than she previously thought!
The Demon Dorms screams luxury to those who could only look wistfully at its exterior from behind the tall, heavy gates. However, if the exterior had failed to impress, the interior decorations would probably do the trick. A prime example of this is the common room - the chandelier and grand pianos might be the highlights of the room, but anyone with a good eye (well, a rich eye) would probably notice that the carpet and armchairs are far from ordinary and made from top-grade material as well.
While she had never considered herself a snob despite coming from a respectable and... Well-to-do family, her inner Demon enjoyed the atmosphere of the common room that made her feel very much like someone from one of those well-established, filthy rich Demon families. Since hardly anyone popped by, it had quickly became her second favorite place to read whenever the students in the neighboring rooms got too noisy... Which was more often than she liked.
Of course, she was confident that her mother's clothing shop would flourish under her management, and the Baines family would be there one day, no doubt about it! Just thinking about it brought a small smile to her lips as she flipped to the next page of her book.
