The letter that came in the mail was one that he had expected would be about Aikyn, perhaps that he needed to bring him in for some sort of appointment or perhaps another meeting. That was what he was expecting when he found the letter but it wasn't what was on the inside, instead there was mention of another boy that was needing a home. He had to admit he'd already decided the moment that he ready the first part of the letter as he rather loved being a father, loved raising children, and he had yet to be lucky enough to find a woman, or even another man, to settle down with.
June was more then happy with the idea but he wasn't about to do it on his own, instead he'd decided what he had to do first was sit down with Aikyn to talk with the shy boy about the idea of having a brother. It was a slow going conversation since the boy was quite quiet when it came to... basically everything. It took some time to get an idea of what he might think of getting himself a little brother, what he might want to do about it, and even if he wanted it to remain as just him and June. After some time Aikyn finally agreed, giving a little nod of his head and finally agreed that a brother could be a nice thing.
It was hand in hand that the taur boy and his giant of a father headed to the Labs, together to pick up the little boy. Deep down Aikyn was curious to meet the boy since they shared a similar parent. Aikyn had the Unicorn's blood in his veins while the new boy had the Pegasus, making them both half equine. It was something he was excited about even though it was hard to tell by the way that he blushed and hid behind his hair.
After their talk they headed from home to the Labs, to see about meeting once more with the woman in charge of the place as well as meeting with the boy they were going to be taking home with them.

Apoxi smiled pleasantly as Aikyn and June arrived at the labs. She rather liked the pair, since June seemed like a very nice Dad and took good care of his little boy. That and it was beyond adorable watching the huge man carrying the little horse boy. She half wondered if he'd keep that up when Aikyn was older - that'd be surely neat to see.
"Hello there, here for a visit or business?" she greeted in her usual cheery manner, not really aware of the letter Kayen had sent. She never dealt with those, after all.

Aikyn was set down on his hooves now that they were inside. It was likely the parent in him that worried about his son walking around bare... hoofed outside. He would likely be fine but a part of him worried that he might step on something sharp or icy or sticky... he was only a touch over protective.
Once he was on his hooves, in which he instantly stepped in closer to June to cling to him, hiding behind his brightly colored hair, June dug out the letter, "I got this in the mail today, I hope that we aren't running late but we wanted to talk it over before we came in." He explained, before he gave her a smile, "So I suppose its both a visit and business since its always fun to come in for visits with you, Miss Apoxi." He'd never had a problem with the woman, in fact he enjoyed their meetings well enough so calling it a visit was far nicer then calling it business he decided.

The woman glanced down through her glasses at the letter. "Oh, well it seems Kayen decided you perform well as a parent and decided to give you another little one." she seemed almost surprised by the child in question however, and shook her head a bit before smiling again.
"Anyway, what did you want to discuss first?" she asked, turning a bit to wave at Aikyn. "Hey kiddo. Did you want a muffin? Jillian was baking some a bit ago."

June gave a bit of a smile, "I am glad that she thinks so well of me." He said, looking down toward Aikyn before giving a smile. He'd had fun raising his newest son thus far, no real problems, and as such the idea of adding another member to his family was a nice though.
Aikyn looked up at the woman for a moment at mention of muffin before he shifted in place for a moment, ever shy before he nodded his head, "I would l-like that." He whispered in his shy tone of voice, easing his hold on his Daddy before looking around, "W-Where is she at?" He asked, wondering where he could find the one who was baking muffins so he could ask for one of them from her. Once instructed where to go the centaur went trotting off in that direction at a quick pace, wanting to get to where he was going before anything had the chance to startle him.
The giant of a man watched him go, smiled, then looked back to his hostess once more, "Just wanting to make sure that the idea of another child was alright with Aikyn, he was an only child for a while. I think he likes the idea of a sibling. I think it might be good for him too, it will help him a little with his social skills." He said, giving a smile.

Apoxi giggled a little, "Yes, in some cases siblings can be a lot of fun." she agreed, "Anyway, did you want to come back and pick a little one out of some kind?"

June looked toward where Aikyn had gone, making sure that he looked as though he were alright with the other girl before his attention was back on Apoxi, "Sounds good, I am up for about anything really. After raising my first son I think I can handle just about anything a child throws at me." Literally and figuratively he thought to himself before giving a bit of a chuckle at his own mental joke.
"I find that I am my happiest when I am acting the part of a father, there is just something fulfilling about the whole experience." Since he'd never found 'the one' or settled down for a while he'd worried that he would never experience such a thing, now though he was lucky enough to act the part of a father not once but twice and today a third time. Needless to say he was in a rather good mood. He might not look the part of father of the year but he sure acted the part.

Apoxi headed back into a hall behind the house, motioning for June to follow. There were many doors with large windows in them so people could see the children inside and see what they looked like. "You can see if there are any you'd like to talk to, just go in and say hi, just don't promise anything you can't keep."

As they started by the doors with the large windows June started to look inside at the children withing, a curious look on his face before looking over at Apoxi when she told him he could say hello but not to make promises he couldn't keep, "I'd bring them all home if possible." He said as he looked in, having a hard time in deciding because the idea of picking one child over the other was hard for someone like him, "Of all the things I've done in my life I think being a father is the most grand."
He only wished he had the money and the room to bring them all home... but then again if he had the money for it then he would surely also have the room he thought to himself in a logical manner. Giving a smile he looked over at Apoxi, "Picking one child over the other... its something I will admit that I am having trouble with, is there one you think needs me more then the others?" He asked of her curiously.

Apoxi considered for a time, "Well, there is one who needs someone with a strong hand and firm discipline, but he's a tough one and not exactly easy to handle." she explained, eventually leading him to a door so he could look in on a strange fish boy. "He's stubborn and absolutely doesn't WANT to leave."

A stubborn kid that wasn't easy to handle, the thought made June chuckle, "Sounds a bit like my oldest son." He said, giving smile before he looked in on the boy who had both a fish tail in place of legs and wings like a bird, "He is quite an interesting kid." After having raised Duncan and took in Aikyn he couldn't say that he was entirely shocked over any sort of kid now but a bird fish was an interesting surprise to say the least.
"I don't mind adopting a kid that is a bit rough around the edges, everyone needs love after all." He said, the kid was likely attached to the place because it was where he was born he thought to himself. If he was brought home and to a home he liked surely he would perk up? Not to mention he would be lucky and would have an older brother!

"Hey, it's up to you." Apoxi said with a shrug, letting the man in and nodding towards the tank. "Go say hello if you like. Just don't promise anything you can't keep and don't be surprised if he splashes you."

June nodded, walking closer to the tank, giving a smile as he got closer and waved at the interesting looking creature that was swimming around in there. The boy paused to look out at him and then, just as predicted there was a rather large wave of water that came sloshing over the edge of the tank onto June as the boy pushed off the side of the tank to swim in a big circle before coming around again.
"Well now, hes a friendly one." He said with a little laugh, waiting until he came back around before he reached down to pluck him out of the water which seemed to surprise the little boy quite a bit, drawing a squeak from him, "Hey there, kiddo." He greeted him.
The little half mermaid's eyes went rather wide before he looked over at Apoxi for a moment, then back again as though he seemed to understand what was going on. Another attempt at adoption, huh? He would show him he thought, giving his wings a flutter and 'accidentally' smacked the man with them a couple times before he started to swishing his tail, splashing around the water that he was hanging over, "Hello. Are you a DNA donor here? A giant maybe?" He asked in as friendly a tone as possibly.

"Little one, you aren't going to get to stay here just because you're acting out." Apoxi informed him, "You know that's the rules." she stated and promptly turned to June, shaking her head, "Don't let him give you any trouble."
And with that she left the room to fetch some papers - not giving the little one the benefit of her attention. Not for this behavior.

The little merman's eyes went rather wide as Apoxi first scolded him and then turned to leave without anymore words for him. He blinked a couple times then turned on June, shifting his tail into legs so he could kick out at the man a few times... then realized that the guy had a rather strong set of stomach muscles, he wasn't even flinching? What the heck?! He gave him another kick, trying to go a little harder this time, then pouted.
"Yeah, sorry about that kiddo. My first boy was a little tougher then usual so I was got pretty tough pretty quick after raising him." He said, not teasing him, just explaining to him what was going on, "Come on, want to go and meet your new brother to be?"
The boy gave a flutter of his wings as his legs once more because a tail and he did his best to go completely floppy, making himself into dead weight... and June tossed the boy over his shoulder, patting him on the back, "Once she gets back we will go and see Aikyn." He told him, giving a bit of a smile. The boy really was trying his hardest it seemed, not wanting to go with him, or anyone from the sounds of it, but he needed a home and June would do his best to take good care of him no matter what.
