Ugh. That ridiculous professor had given them an assignment requiring everybody to write an essay on another student in the class specifically so that he could gauge their writing skills. The task itself would not have been bad had they been given the choice of who they wrote about. Raziel would've chosen Onibi in a snap, but instead he got stuck with some other loser in class.
Sigh. Not only was Raziel writing about somebody, but an entirely separate person was writing about him. It was some girl in class that Raziel had never even seen. Then again, when in a class with Onibi, what was the point of noticing other people?
Raziel glanced up at the clock. As usual he had shown up earlier than necessary, and now began to grow impatient. He expected everybody else to show up early as well, sadly that was not the general practice in this school. It seemed lateness was the popular thing to do.

The gryphon girl was running late yet again. She had to run back to her room half way to the library because she'd forgotten a pen and note book to take notes with. Usually when one was going to the library it was to check out books. Or in Tahki's case it was to find a nice calm area.
She didn't run, but she did walk in a hurried manner. Didn't want to attract to much attention to her self as she shuffled along. Her headphones were turned off but she pretended they were on as she bobbed her head as she walked keeping her eyes to the ground.
Finally she made it to the library. Who was her partner again? Tahki remembered his face but not his name. Crap. This was already turning into a social disaster. She felt her anxiety creep up on her. Crap. Was he going to be mad at her for not remembering?
But there! She spotted him. Tahki made her way over in a nervous manner offering an awkward wave.

Finally the gryphon girl was here. Raziel hadn't a clue what her name was, but he wasn't inclined to care since she had been late. As she came to the table he was sitting at, Raziel went from leaning on his elbow on the table to sitting back in the chair, giving him a much better view of her altogether. She seemed rather frazzled and scared. Oh boy this would be fun. The next thing Raziel noticed was the headphones fitting snuggly over her ears. He wondered if there was actually any music playing or if she really was just THAT antisocial.
Oh well. With a sigh, Raziel started, "What's your name? Mine's Raziel."

The gryphon took a seat directly across from her partner and set her pen and note pad down on the table. He offered his name before she was done finding a note free page in her note book. Crap, this was a project that involved a lot of talking. The gryphon offered a small, quick, smile at the name offer.
"Tahki Yu-yuki," She replied fast but still some how stuttered. Crap, leave it to her to ruin an introduction. She grabbed her note book and hid her face behind it. She could do this. She wasn't going to let her anxiety rule her.

Raziel didn't think it could get any easier. This girl was already jumpy and he hadn't even tried to scare her. Slowly, his lips curled back into a startling smile. It showed off, not only his pearly white teeth, but his less than good intentions.
"What's the matter? Scared of a little monster?" Raziel sneered at Tahki. Even though this was a school assignment, he was going to have a bit of fun before making sure his grade was top notch.
Raziel tried his best not to openly burst into a fit of giggles at his own crappy humor.

Tahki gulped and shielded her self with the note book while she cowered behind it. Her anxiety was winning and her courage was no where to be found.
"I'm .. not..." She lied with a bright red face. She wasn't going to lose this war and get a bad grade. "We should probably get started..." The gryphon tapped her notebook in a nervous fashion.
Still, she was shielding her self.

And the blatant lies kept coming! Raziel couldn't see the face of his victim, and that very much bothered him. He grunted slightly and folded his arms across his chest. It was time to get this assignment moving. Raziel had places to be with people he'd much rather be spending his time with.
"Yes, let's get started," Raziel agreed, narrowing his eyes at the notebook hiding Tahki's face.

The gryphon slowly lowered the notebook as her wits returned. Tahki's cheeks were still bright red though from embarrassment. What kind of a monster was she any how?
The anti social kind.
Tahki clicked her pen and brought it to her note pad. She eyed the other monster with a bit of curiosity, Was it normal for kids her age to try to scare each other? She couldn't help but wonder.
"Im ready," The sooner they got this done the sooner she could hide out in her room.

Raziel arched an eyebrow at the clicking of the pen against the hard surface of the desk. He wasn't overly fond of tapping writing instruments; it was a sign of nervousness. He kept a steady glare as the other monster looked him up and down.
"Well if you're ready, ask your questions then," Raziel retorted coldly. Why did he have to get stuck with her?! It seemed that everything possible to slow down the assignment was happening and Raziel wanted nothing more than to get it over with.

Tahki sighed and started to tap the pen a little faster as she gathered her nerve.
"Wh-when did you decide you wanted to further your education in literature?" The tapping stopped briefly. She'd come up with a question all on her own. This was a small victory for Tahki.
Her face relaxed some.

Hearing Tahki's first question, Raziel sighed. This was going to go on forever, especially since the very first question was something as lame as literature.
"Is that re-" Raziel was about to ask before he realized that would only elongate their time in the library, "Literature is one of the four main pillars of education and I aim to educate myself to my highest potential." He replied, looking down his nose at Tahki, fairly certain that he did not share his passion for knowledge, albeit hidden.

Tahki jotted the first question and answer down on her notepad. Oh wait! She had to do another question. Grawrrr... They still had more to do. Candle Jack. Tahki felt like she was on pins and needles right now. Usually the library was a safe place. But now she had to interact against her will.
"Man..." She muttered under her breath. This was going to take for ever.
"W-what clubs have you joined?" Tahki had done it yet again. She quickly jotted the question she had asked down.

"I'm the leader of the Miniature Monstrosities, I am in the Frighteningly Fashionable Freaks, a member of the POE-Tree Circle, and I'm on the Swim Team." Raziel simply stated, he didn't think that this was going to be very much fun and it probably showed with his physical actions. He slumped forward, resting his chin on his hand supported by his elbow. he had a look of utter boredom smeared across his face and his tail twitched at the end with unedited impatience.

Tahki picked up on the fact that Raziel was bored. This assignment was dull and a bit meaningless. The gryphon wondered why it was assigned in the first place? It seemed pretty pointless.
"Th-this would go faster if I just wrote the questions down and gave them to you to fill out.." Her voice was a little weak. "I-I could watch you fill it out so its not defeating the purpose of the assignment." She looked up at the monster hopefully.

((i'm the worst person ever, i'm sorry!! D: ))
Raziel had to agree with the girl's logic. Things would go easier and faster if she just wrote down questions and he wrote down replies. It kind of defeats the purpose of the assignment, getting to know another student better, but at this point, Raziel would've rather done anything else.
Looking at the gryphon-girl, Raziel sighed before saying, "Fine, write down your questions and let's be done with this."
