"Alright! Everyone line up!" The gym floor trembled in a stampede of pokemon running to line up in front of the female trainer; some quicker than others. She gazed at them thoughtfully, hand placed on her chin as she analyzed their posture. Now that she was an agent- an event that was miraculously bestowed upon her (maybe some fluke)- she had to get her act together and that meant she needed to train.

She walked up and down the line; Tybalt and Pistol sighed in unison. They would have much rather went to the pool. "Maybe next time guys." The next pokemon she passed looked up at her bubbling with admiration. She couldn't help but smile at her cute little Blossom. And then there was Skye. He was really the whole reason they were all here. She didn't want Skye to be embarrassing her ever again. Or misbehaving, walking off, disobeying orders....

Skye gave her a shifty, blue eyed look, prompting Cal to send them on a little jog. "Take a lap." With a sigh of frustration, the all began their trek. "And no riding on Tybalt, Skye!" The Pikachu wasn't that cunning.

Cal pulled her hair into a neat pony-tail and dusted off her work out clothes that consisted of red shorts and a worn gray shirt. She hoped that her training buddy for the day would be there soon. Aila couldn't have forgotten about their little training session that the scheduled a few days earlier. Torturing her Misdreavious sound like a fun way to pass the time right about now. She gave a quick glance down at her wristwatch, clocking the passing pokemon's time.

The few days after the ghost's nighttime romp had been hellish, as though the Misdreavus had heard and understood her human's will to bring her under control and was rebelling against that plan. It was all Aila could do to keep the thing inside her pokeball, never mind soliciting her cooperation when she was freed of its confines. The training date with Cal was an appointment the little thief had every intent to keep.

She crept through the door-frame quietly, observing her surroundings as she entered. Aila did not utilize the gyms as much as she felt she probably should; with an easily distracted Ivysaur and a wholly disobedient Misdreavus, such open spaces were less than ideal for their intended purpose. The running pokemon, however, did not seem to share her woes. She might have been envious, were Aila inclined to such pettiness.

"Good evening," the girl said in an effort to announce her presence, curtsying in greeting when she had successfully garnered her superior's attention.

All of the pokemon had returned by the time the girl entered. "Hello again." She shot Aila a wide grin and beckoned her closer. "I'm just warming them up." She turned back to the pokemon, pleased that everything was going well, "You guys are doing great!"

Now she needed to introduce them, going down the row of the panting pokemon, "This is Tybalt," She pointed to the Feraligatr, "Pistol, Blossom, and Skye." She showed off the Blastoise, Ivysaur, and Pikachu respectively. "But I bet you remember him." Skye lifted his blue eyes up to the two and frowned. They were the ones who woke him up that night. He didn't even get a good treat! He huffed, crossing his arms.

"Where's your pokemon?" She looked around a bit, wondering if the devious Misdreveus had gotten loose once again.

Aila regarded each of the pokemon as they were introduced, nodding to them in a brief greeting, It was not an unimpressive array, to be sure.

A slight frown tugged at her features at mention of her own pokemon. Fleur was trustworthy enough, but she worried to see the Misdreavus out so casually. The certainly wouldn't make any progress if Revenant spent the whole time in her pokeball, though, and so Aila took one sphere in either hand and released the pair. The ghost, predictably, was unimpressed and disinterested, but Fleur delighted at the veritable swarm in front of her, especially that other Ivysaur. She bounded over with an excited "saur, saur!" and grinned widely.

"The energetic one is Fleur," Aila explained with a small gesture. She cast an icy glare in Revenant's direction, though the Misdreavus ignored her entirely, absorbed in grooming herself. "She is Revenant, as you must recall." It didn't hurt to introduce her anyway for the benefit of the pokemon, save Skye.

There was a low group mumble as Aila's pokemon were introduced. Blossom was, in a way, pleased to see another Ivysaur. She cringed at Fleur's sudden approach, but extended a vine to her in greeting, a small smile on her face.

"So now that we've got greetings out of the way." She turned her attention to Revenant, "Do you want to show us your moves?" That ghost hadn't changed since the last time they met. She ignored her trainer and Cal could only imagine how a battle would go. Well, she might as well go all out, right? "How about a double battle? My misbehaving pokemon teamed up with yours against...." She didn't want to really get the other pokemon involved just yet. "Let's' start with the training dummies." Skye was clearly not pleased, sitting on his haunches. Tybalt gave him a little push towards Cal.

Fleur, noting the other Ivysaur's discomfort, toned down her enthusiasm and shook an impotent Sweet Scent from her blooming flower, just enough to perfume the surrounding air. Gingerly she offered a vine of her own to meet Blossom's, and Aila, observing only out of the corner of her eye, was inwardly shocked at the display. It seemed Fleur had internalized her lectures on manners and restraint after all, which meant the Ivysaur simply chose not to act on them...

Revenant scoffed at the invitation. Show her moves? No, what she wanted was to return to Ambergris, or at least to transfer her person into the care of a more competent trainer (if such a human existed). Her resistance did not go unnoticed, and Aila thought for a way to compromise.

"If you cooperate, you will be able to spend more time free of your pokeball," she reminded. It was less of a bribe and more genuine truth, actually, and Revenant knew this to be true from the freedom Fleur enjoyed on a regular basis. The ghost huffed and came a bit closer, awaiting a prompt on what exactly she was meant to do with the strange little men addressed as training dummies.

Cal sighed, rubbing the back of her head. She knew all to well what Aila was going through. Skye would give her such a hard time that she would have to bribe him with something. Skye had finally joined her and stared up at her with curious blue eyes. Just what did she plan to do? To be truthful, Cal didn't know what she was doing either.

"Um, ok. Does Revenant listen to your orders?" She looked over the dummies, "That can be crucial in battle. It's all about working together-" She smiled, "But, of course, you would know that Aila. We meed to get Revenant.... And Skye.... To work with us and work together." She thought for a moment, "So Skye, let's see a Thunderbolt."

Skye, rolled his eyes not seeing a point in this, shocked the dummy with a weak jolt.

Aila frowned slightly at the Misdreavus. If the thing could follow orders, there would be no need so much worrying. But she would trust in Cal's methods nonetheless, "Revenant, please demonstrate your Psywave."

Psywave? When Thunderbolt was so flashy? She could learn such beautiful moves through TMs. Why had her human not put forth the effort to teach her, say, Thunder or Charge Beam or even Thunderbolt itself? Revenant glared at the Pikachu in Spite.

There was certainly more to be desired from that attack. It was clear that Skye wasn't putting any effort behind it, but Cal's main focus was on Revenant, who was glaring Skye.

The Pikachu felt an instant chill, cringing slightly before turning to the Misdreavus. He cut his eyes at the ghost pokemon, cheeks crackling with angry sparks. "Pika Pi!" [What the hell was that for?] He ran up closer to Revenant in his best threatening pose. Why had she used an attack on him? She wasn't ordered to AND he hadn't done anything to her!

Cal could clearly see what was going on here, "Skye, calm down. Just leave her alone." That pokemon had used a move on Skye, and he didn't seem too pleased. "Revenant, you shouldn't use harmful moves on your teammate." If the ghost pokemon were to continue messing with Skye, she couldn't be sure what the blue eyed 'Chu would do.

"Mis!" Revenant huffed, turning from the insolent little electric mouse. He should be grateful that she had deigned to give him a sample of her power. What had he to complain? And now the human as well. 'Teammate,' that was a strange word to use. When had she signed up for any team?

"Revenant," Aila entreated, her voice level but an underlying venom darkening the words, "what boon do you ask that you shall comply? I have done nothing untoward. I have tried only to solicit your compliance. Will you still do nothing I ask?"

The Misdreavus shrank away slightly from the unexpected lecture. If she was going to be so irritating about it, then fine. The skirted body twisted as she swiveled around and released a burst of psychic energy at one of the targets - the Psywave that had been requested earlier. She then turned back to the two girls as if to say happy now?

Cal smiled, a bit pleased. At least they were getting somewhere and if Aila had to be forceful, so be it. "Now we should practice battling in teams." She waved her hand, "Tybalt. Blossom. I want you guys to help us." Tybalt scuttled over on all four with impressive speed while Blossom, reluctant to leave her new play mate, walked over. Pistol sat there with a sour look on his face, but Cal couldn't have two water pokemon in this battle. Skye would surely use that to his advantage.

"Ok, how's about a little two on two?" She glanced over to Aila. "My pokemon can handle themselves while we use Skye and Revenant." She clasped her hands together in excitement. It had been a long time since Cal had had a double battle.

Fleur waved after Blossom enthusiastically as she departed for the battlefield, calling a reassuring "saur, saur!" to wish her good luck. Aila, on the other hand, was nowhere near as confident. It seemed ill-advised to set her Misdreavus against others with the intent of violence, but she hesitantly placed her trust in the experience of her senior.

"Very well," she murmured in agreement, turning next to Revenant and adopting the same stern tone with which she had spoken before. "The Pikachu is your comrade. The Feraligatr and Ivysaur are rivals." She purposefully avoided the word enemy. "Behave accordingly. Prepare for engagement."

Revenant narrowed her eyes, obviously displeased with her human's attitude and expectations, but wearied of the pointless power struggle taking place between them. She ceded - for now, at least - and moved to face the pair that had approached for battle, sparing a wary glance in Skye's direction.

Fleur's enthusiasm boosted Blossom's spirits and gave her purpose to battle. Tybalt flexed a bit before nodding to Blossom. He was clearly ready to chomp on the little electric mouse. Blossom just nodded back to him. She could see that he wanted to give a little payback to Skye.

"Ok then," She really hoped that all would go well here, "Let's get things started!" Tybalt didn't hesitate to get things started with a deadly Crunch aimed at Skye. Blossom followed suit attacking them both with a Razor Leaf.

Skye, caught off guard was trapped in his jaws, pleading for help from his partner as he struggled to break free. This was certain getting off to a fast start.... Cal thought, biting her fingernails.

"Revenant," Aila called, noting the Pikachu's situation, "Astonish the Feraligatr."

What, while she was under attack from the Ivysaur? The Misdreavus dodged out of the way of the Razor Leaf and countered it with Psybeam.

"Skye, Thunderbolt!" Skye shocked Tybalt with an angry Thunderbolt to get the Feraligatr to let him go. Tybalt shrank back to his teammate's aid while she was hit by Revenant's Psybeam.

Tybalt retaliated with a Shadow Claw aimed straight for the Misdreavus while Blossom took this chance to pick up Skye with a vine whip. At least they haven't ganged up on Skye... Cal sighed as Skye was thrown loose from Blossom vine whip towards Revenant.
