The wolf's easy lope carried her over yet another path spiraling away from the school. She might have enjoyed the run under any other circumstance; but right now, Davi was a girl on a mission. She had canvassed several Reapers already - some of them requiring more persuasion than others, to her delight - as to the whereabouts of one in particular. Surprisingly, "skinny chick with a talking scythe" got her pretty far as a description. Thus, she jogged circles around the byways and spook paths of Amityville, and realized just how hard it was to hunt for somebody she'd never seen before.

Of course, the idea that this was a hunt (instead of what it really was: pre-track practice masquerading as an aimless search) cheered the loup-garou immensely, enough for her to pick up the pace a little bit and look a little bit harder. Shadows on the ground and the silhouettes of trees took on living forms. Thistles became sickle-blades. Splashes and rustles became voices. One instance was so convincing that Davinica ran up to it, her hand reached toward the vague shape in greeting. "Hey - are you...?" But she didn't finish her question, because the shape was not the creature she sought. It was, upon closer inspection, a particularly gnarly tree.

Candlejack. This was gonna take a while.

Said reaper that the werewolf was looking for had decided to practice her animating skills outside. That tended to be safer since some animated items like to be a little distructive. She use to tell her mom they were just spirited but that never saved her from a long clean up of the house. Tartalo was leaning against a tree, watching with a learned eye. He had observed her family's powers ever since his creation, feeling he needed the knowledge for when the girl began her own training. So far he's advice had not been taken but he could still try.

Set up on the grass was a stool with a tea pot on top of it. The golden eyed girl held her arms out at her sides and began to chant. A yellow circle filled with zodiac signs and magic symbols appeared at her feet and spread out about two feet around. Her chanting got louder. Her eyes began to glow as she moved both hands slowly towards her front, palms facing out toward the tea pot. The circle began to glow and a symbol appeared on the tea pot, her emblem. It glowed brightly then faded. Her chanting ended and the circle below her faded away. She walked towards the tea pot and poked it with a finger. It proceeded to spit steam at her then try to chase her.

"Gah!! Candlejack!!" she yelled as steam hit her in the butt. Finally she was able to say the deactivation incantation but her rear end certainly paid the price.

"You've got to make sure it respects your command, nina. Otherwise it will do whatever it pleases," the scythe chided.

"Yeah yeah, easier said that done," she huffed a bit at the tea pot and picked it back up. "Stupid tea pot, not gonna do that with water in it again."

Letting lose a low, exasperated snarl, Davi realized that her Reaper quarry didn't seem to be anywhere over here, either. How many jackin' paths would she have to take to find this girl? The werewolf was this close to giving it up when she heard the unusual hiss of kettle steam (who in their right mind was taking tea out here?) followed by the way more routine howl of a student's curse.

It'd do her head good to see someone else messing up, the werewolf decided; she jogged toward the sounds of distress with swiveled ears.

Though she was expecting to look in on some boa stumbled too close to the Dionae, what she actually saw shook Davi thoughtless for a moment. Thank Luna for small miracles: speak of the Reaper, and the Reaper appears. So what if she was in the middle of something? "Hey!" She'd probably welcome the respite from that kettle-with-attitude. Now what was her name, again... "You're Lily, right? Reaper with the talking scythe?"

Lilura thought about trying her spell again but her wet rear end was already getting cold. She would need to change pants.....again. Worst part about being an Animator, you could never really have nice clothes until your power was strong enough. She couldn't believe how many shirts and, more often, pants she went through in a month. Lilura was about to pack up with a wolfen looking girl ran up to her. A werewolf? Interesting. Then the ghoul asked her question and she couldn't help but giggle. Well that was an acurate description of her.

"Yeah, I'm Lily. My talking scythe is Tartalo though, he doesn't like to be refer to by his type," she pointed to said scythe as it bounced over to the two women. Lilura continued to pack up some things as she waited for her familiar to join them.

"True. Names are far more polite. What can we do for you young lady?" he bowed a bit to the furry female.
