It was just... staring at her. She wasn't sure where it came from, how it got into the dorm, let alone the Zombie basement without getting devoured as a late night snack and yet a cat was sitting at her door meowing about what ever it was cats meowed about.

"Could you... not do that? Shush!" The cat simply blinked tilting it's head, "MEOW!" Apparently the thing didn't understand how to be quiet. So Sammy shooed the thing into her room and shut the door. Already the cat was making its self at home on the furniture, in a box, now attacking the box, back on the sofa, it just didn't want to sit still!

"No no no get out of the hat box! Why couldn't you have picked another room like the Vampires! Go bother them!"

This was going to be a frustrating evening.

Where had that blasted cat gone?

Everyone knew the key rule of the house, er, dorm - everyone's allowed to wander off hours, but after the witching hour, everyone has to come in and at least let him know if they're sticking around. . . and everyone had to keep an eye out for Drei. Drei wasn't supposed to be an outdoors cat - hell, he was barely a school-bound cat anyways.

It was only past six, and Jack was already worried when Eins and Zwei had mentioned that no one had seemed to know where the cat had been. Ugh. Staring up at the undead dorm, he figured someone who he had attachments to would know if he was here, it was hard to not catch Drei. Look for a black and white cat who seemed. . . off. Opening the door, he rambled in, determined to drag his sorry a** back home.

Click to show.Drei, on the other hand, was happier than a pig in mud, flipping and rolling around the box full of fancy hats, kittering back and forth whenever he could, his odd-sounding meow sometimes escaping. This was euphoria, like Jack's pillows, it felt like home.

Hearing the zombie's soft plea, he looked up at her with wide, but slightly glazed over eyes, uncertain about what she was asking for. But she was pretty interesting, he figured. And her pillowhats.

"I told you not the hat box!" She fussed again removing the cat from the box placing him atop another unopened one while she reorganized the 'pillowhats' that Drei had so happily flounced about in. She was busy doing this all while Drei made his strange meowing sounds. "Shhh you, you've made a mess of my hats the least you could do is be quiet till someone figures out what to do with you... maybe I can use you for a snack or something..."

She was not yet aware just how close salvation was as Jack entered the Zombie dorms. Once inside a few students would mention having seen the cat heading towards the basement, some even joked that the poor thing was already being used for making fresh stew tonight.

This was really fun!

Being picked up by the undead lass felt like a dream, his eyes lidding as he flew through the air, before being sat down again on a box, his eyes snapping to a sort of attention, his voice kittering up again as he looked at her. This was not a fluffy box at all. It felt like crackly and scratchy under his paws, like home made cat scratching posts.

Kneeding into the box a little, he looked up to the zombie, cantering his head as she rambled on to him, his mind having a difficult time deciphering what she was trying to say. But when she came up with the words you and snack, His eyes widened. Either she had a snack, or wanted to eat him. This worried him.

This was far from fun for Samantha, she was babysitting a strangers cat, trying to unpack, and clean all at the same time and this was not an easy task to do. With a sigh she ran a hand through her hair turning to eye the cat who sounded less then please to be put down. "Oh don't give me any lip furball. I don't even need to do anything more then put you in the hallway and let someone come by and use you for whatever they want. So stop pouting and just... stay?"

Would stay work? That only worked on dogs didn't it?
PostPosted: Tue Oct 12, 2010 11:43 am

Oh, He understood stay.

He heard stay, a lot. Meister Jack always told him stay, so did Eins and Zwei (but not the other cats, as he technically ranked older than all of them . . . ) and usually he was re-insured that if he stayed, he would be safe. He could handle stay. Blinking slowly to Samantha, he knew that this was usually the best way to let those who could not decipher cat that it meant "I Understand". He thought.

Losing interest in the zombie already, his broken mind reeling for something new, he looked around the room, the feel of it nothing like his new home with Jack. It felt colder and he wouldn't like how the walls talked. They felt like they wouldn't have fun stories, like the ones back in the Demon Dorm. A strong purr erupted from him idly, as he peered around the room, taking everything in for however long he could handle the thought.

Well for now the cat was listening and that was good enough, though it kept giving her the oddest looks as if it almost understood what she was saying, like seriously understood it. The thought made her shiver as she continued to sort her boxes shifting over a new one pulling out the supplies to put on her desk.

Though she knew not what the cat was thinking, they both agreed, this was a horrible place to live. The tempature was right, but the lack of windows drove her mad. It wasn't fair she be shoved into a basement like this. Still she didn't linger on the thought as she set up her desk giving a slight jump at Drei's sudden purr. "Y-you're loud for such a small thing."

Looking around, Drei could only wonder why there weren't any windows in this area. It didn't dawn on him that they were in the basement, his eyes staring at the walls for longer than normal, before he dawned that no light or breeze were coming out of it, before turning to the next.

Hearing the voice of the zombie perk up again, his attention snapped back to her, his eyes widening, nearly having forgotten taht she was even in the room. Hearing the statement about being loud, he took it funny, and started kittering and meowing again, wondering if that's what she meant.

For some reason the furball had taken to staring at one wall at a time, each time it would focus before silently turning to the next. This cat was just plain weird none the less Samantha continued unpacking careful not to open any boxes that would look like an inviting nest for the 'guest.' Her current box containing books and DVD's that she started placing on a shelf when Drei gave another strange kittering and meowing sound.

"GAhaha! Shut it you fuzz ball before you get someone knocking on my door looking for a snack!"
PostPosted: Tue Oct 12, 2010 12:44 pm

Jack had sworn he had been down this corridor at least three times now, his heels clicking on the hard floor and tail sweeping left and right, listening as intently as he could for the cat. A few zombies had mentioned they saw a can running around - a ghost he had met before piped up a few minutes later, pointing him to this location. Blasted undead dorm and it's confusion.

Wheeling around on his heels, he caught the sound of a feline howl, knowing that only as Drei's stupid kittering, wailing whatever he felt like, he probably wasn't sure what he was doing, but figured it was enjoyable. Walking up to the door that seemed to be murmuring like his cat, he lifted his hand to rap on the door lightly, wishing he had taken his sitar with him, incase he had to take drastic measures. Blast that stupid train and low quality stringwork.

What would be on the other side. . .

---

Ah! She was joining in, singing a little longer, his meows and howls joining in on every word, assuming that she was enjoying the song he started mewling for her. Had he found a friend?

A strange noise broke his concentration, his eyes snapping at the door, and a familiar scent wafted in with the air under the door. Oh . . . oh, right. He forgot about the whole roaming thing again, and now he was being picked up! Jumping down from the box that he had been placed on, he rambled over to the door, kittering happily, wanting the magical contraption to open! Open, open!

Peering back, he looked at the zombie, pleading her to open this stupid thing.

No that was not singing it is not singing at all! Why is the cat getting louder!? It was going to wake up the whole dorm at this rate! She was not a friend, well to him she was to her it was more like the landlord about to drop someone out the second sto- oh wait she didn't have a window.

And now? Now the strange furball was sitting at her door being even more noisy, all meows and tittering, she wasn't sure how anyone could put up with this cat. Maybe she could just pawn it off to whoever came knocking?

"I'm coming! You stop meowing! You stop knocking!" Once at the door she clicked it open glaring at the fuzz ball below before turning to face Jack, "Can I help you? As you can see this thing won't shut up..."

This was definitively the right room. Hearing the exasperation of annoyance in the owner of the voice behind the door, he knew that Drei had been working his charm on the lady. Whatever charm that was. It didn't take him long to react to the yelling, especially when the owner started yelling at him; his hand held precariously close to the door, eyebrows raised high when the door finally opened.

"Hello!" He chirped, uncertain as to how to start. "I think you have my cat. . ." Well, at least she was much more normal than he expected, his body soothing down to a languid stance as he looked her over. Behind her shoulder, Drei caught sight of the Meister and ran up to Jack, meowing excitedly about the adventure he had been having, about the walls that talked oddly, and the pretty singing lady in front of them. With a chortle, Jack looked back up to the Zombie in front of him, "He says he likes you."

The situation to say the least was amusing, Jack mid knock, Sammy mid grumpy face, and Derp Face Kitty was still herping the derp right behind her. "That thing belongs to you? How did it end up here, you sure don't look dead enough to be stuck in this dump."

She blinked again looking at the cat, back to Jack, and the cat again, "You can understand him? What are you some kind of demon or reaper..." she seemed weary now, she wasn't fond of demons though this one seemed... okay so far even if his cat was a bit strange.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 02, 2012 6:53 pm

"Just a simple demon," he answered, scooping the cat up in his arms as the cat lounged happily, glad to be back in the guide of his meister, purring a little oddly. "But I'm pretty much like a cat king, they respect me and I respect them, and in turn, I've learnt their language - I guess you could say it came naturally, you know?"

"And why would a demon let his pets wander around in the Undead dorm? You know your kind doesn't have a good rep around most undead exactly." She glanced at the awkward cat again, it's purring was rather derp like for a lack of better explanations.

"A king... right..." She eyed the cat again as it cocked its head in her direction. "I'm not keen on speaking other languages or anything of the such, nor do I have any pets. Specially not ones that chew on my hats...."
