It was really hard to focus on classes when one was wired on the idea that she'd be out on HER field later with her co-captain looking to bulk up that lovely FEARleading team! It wasn't just going to be amazing, it was going to be fantastic. Either way, Shehk had made a point of practically spamming the announcements with the tryouts the week before they actually happened... even if this meant they'd likely get some strange spooktators for the event. Boo! She'd just tell people to visualize they were kicking Nukpana's face if she showed up.
Fortunately, she'd at least half-set up the field to the way she'd wanted it before classes had even started... which was to make sure none of that silly stuff was on it! What did that mean actually WAS on the field?
At least one FEARleader captain in uniform with a clipboard and a couple of extra pens. Did she have something she'd be making people fill out? She certainly did! But first, she'd made water available for the sake of those extra hard workers. She didn't want to be responsible for someone snuffing it when she wasn't as well trained in First Aid as she could have been. HmMMmm.
Either way, she seemed content to settle in on one of the TWO chairs she'd put out on the field to wait and see what happened in terms of turnout....The Paper [b ]Name:[/b ] Shehk can't be assed to remember everybody's name! She may recognize you if you've been to her Movie-night + in her classes, though![b ]Skelephone Number:[/b ] Make something up if you must. XD[b ]Other Obligations:[/b ] What OTHER CLUBS are you in that may infringe on your ability to be at FEARleading events? Don't feel bad if you have one! Shehk does! Signing up for FEARleading may or may not entitle Shehk and Naja to own all of your time at a moment's notice.There is also an attached paper including the FEARleader Schedule. If you don't want to devote the time, walk away now!=========== On the FLYER that was posted up for tryouts, Shehk specifically asked people to show up to tryouts in appropriate attire; if she doesn't think you can try-out in it, she may ask you to leave! Feel free to have your student show up and get the PAPER from Shehk that she wants you to fill out for her's and Naja's knowledge. PS; FEARLEADERS WANT BOTH BOILS AND GHOULS TO JOIN. :<

The manananggal was the first to arrive at the field, dressed in a sporty, form-fitting dress-shirt that would have reached her hips, had she any at that moment. Which surprised Maritess as she seemed to arrive late in her classes. Still, she was here and she knew Shehk. Maybe not as well as she would have liked despite sharing a number of classes with her and that time in -nonono bad thoughts Tess, erase the bathroom from your brain- something or other. With a small, if anxious, smile she took the paper and filled it up.

Kasumi was excited. Nay, she was thrilled at the prospect of trying out for a club. Donning her best and finest workout gear (which really just consisted of a tank top and sweatpants she found in the lost-and-found bin), the ghost trotted out onto the field. Giving both captains a polite bow, the ghost introduced herself to them. She admired them both, assembling a tough squad of FEARleaders to cheer on the school's respective teams. Oh how she wanted to be a part of that! Part of a team dedicated to moral! To fun! To looking fashionable!
Well, okay, maybe not so much the last part. Belladonna was fashionable enough for like, six Fearleading squads as far as Kasumi was concerned, but that was another time and place.
"It is a pleasure to be here." she said, taking up the paper to fill out. "Now let's see..."
Name: Kasumi Skelephone Number: 666-7777 (if you call, I might accidentally tell you that you have seven days, so... don't mind that.) Other Obligations: Student Council, should I happen to secure a position.
(ICly, she hasn't joined anything yet, though she signed up for student council.)

Arachne was pleased she'd managed to find the field where Fearleader tryouts were being held, she'd had enough of getting lost in the large campus. She was feeling strangely off kilter, what came from having to turn up in something that she would be able to move around easily in, and so for once she wasn't clad in her figure hugging dress, she had on a pair of fitted black pants, and over that was a red hoodie but in a far simpler design to the hooded top she normally wore.
She had gloves as usual though, she always wore those and on her feet were a pair of black trainers with tiny silver cobweb charms hanging from one of the laces. She approached the clipboard carrying captain and requested a form and a pen, and when she'd scribbled in her details she handed in back, wondering if she was meant to hang around for anything more after doing so.

Rain was a nervous wreck. What was she doing here, she couldn't cheer for the life of her. Oh wait, she was dead. Ok, she couldn't cheer for the unlife of her. She could jump and flip and stuff but dancing and well.. moving in ways that Fearleaders do, could she do that? She wanted to turn back but she told herself to at least try. She'd rather try and fail than to end up always wondering what could have been.
She waved a Shehk and grabbed the paper. She didn't own a skelephone. She always broke the buttons with her little claws and socializing was not her strong point.
Name: Rain Rottingham Skelephone Number: I don't have a skelephone. Other Obligations: Trying out for Track and Casketball.
At least she somewhat dressed the part. She had on a skirt and t-shirt, though she did wear a pair of shorts underneath the skirt. Didn't need to flash anyone unnecessarily.

Shehk offered a wave back to Rain, pausing to look over the girl's form when it was handed back to her and noting the lack of Skelephone number. Ah well, no matter. However, she did make a point to ask;
"Can I just leave notes on your door then?"
She needed SOME way to get in contact with the hunter if she found herself needing to. And honestly, it was easy enough to figure with the two living in the same building, walking down a hall (and possibly a floor) it would be easier than calling.
However, when looking over Arachne's form, this... LOOK came over the Pricolici's face when she looked at the second club. Lucky 13... wasn't that a...DEMON SUPERIORITY club?? This was something that the UNDEAD would have to think about carefully. Well, it all depended on ability and if she'd be willing to swallow such a thing for the sake of it.
She'd leave that thought mostly to herself though. Honestly, the girl hadn't acted snotty towards her yet, so maybe Shehk was just making assumptions about said club. Or something.
Shehk did have to say she was appreciating the tryout-turn-out though! She offered Maritess a nod, before making a point to emphasize, since Arachne seemed to be lingering in that way that seemed curious;
"I will say, be careful with decorated laces. However, for this occasion they're appropriate. I won't be asking for anything possibly dangerous. Just basic things for tryout." she seemed genuine in that. Unlike Cricket who one would be suspicious of.

Arachne hadn't said anything about the fact that Shehk was undead, nor made a face because of her over-riding love of spiders. The spider-poms were pretty much her main reason for turning up and doing anything remotely physical..and so she would put up with the Undead for that reason only..
'Understood.' she replied a little stiffly at Shehk's mention of her lace charms, but said no more. She was slightly outnumbered anyways and so she decided to just keep her thoughts to herself.

"Well, well, well... what do we have here?" The other captain of the Fearleaders had made her appearance-- fashionably late, as usual. But as always, Naja considered herself to be on time, and the rest just simply... early. The gorgon's hair was pulled up into a high ponytail, with the cobras coiling around it. Mostly, anyway. Nag preferred to lurk just beneath her arm, and survey those around him from that vantage point. The cobra was hissing his disapproval, and Naja absently reached up to pet him. "Anyone look promisssing, Ssshehk?" She wore the traditional 'home' Feario uniform, and carried an Eyepod, and a portable Eyehome.
This was so that they could put on music for the ghouls (and boas, if any showed up) to do their routines to. "I asssume that you all have experience with ssssome form of gymnasssticss, and if not that that you can dance?" If she was wrong, these girls had no cause to be there. "Let me tell you right now, we expect the bessst of our Fearioss. Got it? Ssso don't give usss anything lesss than your all."
She was in Captain Mode now, and it would take a lot to jog her out of it. "Sso, we wait to sssee who elsse will ssshow. And then we will ssstart with your routinesss, yesss?" The gorgon watched the potential recruits through a pair of stylish sunglasses, an eyebrow raised in droll amusement. A demon already, hmmn? Would that girl have a superiority complex? Whatever. It didn't matter, so long as she was good at what she did, and followed orders well.
Naja and Shehk knew what they were doing. Casually, Naja sat down in her chair (yes, the second chair was for her), and looked over what had been jotted down on the paper so far. ... Heh. Predictable! Already, a member of the demon Illuminati was looking to join their ranks. She smirked faintly, and continued to scan the paper. "Four. Four is a good sssstarting point." But not enough to have a full Fearleading squad.

Quote: Name: Sin Err Skelephone Number: 666-378-9994 Other Obligations: B.I.T.C.H & Running for Student Council (Vote Sin!) ((OOC Note: Sin also applied to Lucky 13 but knowledge of this club is a secret so even if she is accepted in, no one but other demons would know.)) Finally the day she had been waiting for, more then any class, any club, or any sale that was happening this year Sin wanted THIS. She strode out in uniform, her hair was pulled back, she didn't exactly like it that way, but it allowed her to move with much more speed and freedom. She ran a hand down the side of her waist to rest on her hip with a smile. She knew she rocked the uniform, now she wanted to show the Fearleading Captains that she had the spirit for this team. Her mother had been a fearleader and Sin felt the pressure, but she pushed it down, this wasn't about her parents it was about her now. She fought down her nerves ruthlessly and forced herself to maintain her cocky confident smile.
She grinned as she heard Naja and looked at Shehk, she had done her homework well enough to know who was who. She strode up to hand in her sheet, no shy or awkward motions there. Gymnastics? Dance? Please...she had those bases so well covered it wasn't even funny. Her only concern was if she had to do tricks with a partner her spikes might get in the way and cause someone else harm. Still everyone at the Academy had their little quirks, she fancied if she tried to do a pyramid with Naja she might get a little snakebite.

Shehk was Flabberghasted. Not just flabberghasted, but.. she'd been so relieved to see what Naja had her covered (how could she have forgotten music??) that when she had seen another uniform out of the corner of her eyes, she'd assumed it was either Tack or Emily... however, the person in uniform wasn't either of them.
No, it was someone who had yet to have, in the terms of things, 'earned' their right to the uniform out on the field. So it was actually after a moment of looking to Sin.. and then to Naja, and then to Sin again that finally the Pricolici composed herself and, rather bluntly, pointed out;
"So maybe I should have made sure the FEARleaders put locks on their lockers after your escapades in Professor Darcy's class." she sneered, obviously not pleased by the Succubus's initiative to wear the group's uniform. It wasn't 'charming', considering that unlike people who got to be 'taught' such ability from a young age, Shehk had worked her little a** off to make sure she'd gotten on the team at all.
"Change it."
She then looked to Naja, as though to see if the Gorgon had any input on the matter.

"What Ssshehk sssaid. ... Thiss is actually a valuable lessson for you all. You sssee what sshe did there? Don't do that. Wearing the uniform to try out meansss one of any number of thingss, but the bottom line is, if you haven't earned it, you ssshouldn't wear it. Go back to your dorm and change, Sin." Yes, Naja had taken the time to look over what the girl had written on the sheet. "All of you are on equal footing right now, ssso don't anyone assssume that they have an edge here." Her tone was severe, with that peculiar hissing that came of having a forked tongue.
"Work out clothing isss a musst. Come back in sssweatss or a yoga outfit if you have one. But get rid of that," she said, pointing at the uniform. "I don't know where you got it, and frankly I don't care." In a way, they were giving the girls a taste of what was to come. Naja was going to be strict with them, because they had a lot to live up to. She had a lot to live up to. That cocky smile that Sin wore was all well and good. If she made the team, she'd need the attitude.
But no one showed up on Naja's field, and pulled this kind of nonsense. "Lisssten up, all of you. Thiss isss not a cake walk. We are not here to play nice, ssso don't expect it. Fearleading iss assss much a sssport asss any of the others, which means we've got to be ssseriouss, here. I won't take any back talk, or sssmart remarkss. If you mouth off at me or Sshehk, consssider yoursself off the team prematurely. I don't expect that any of you will be that ssstupid, but I am giving you fair warning."
She looked each of them over in turn. "When we tell you to do sssomething, do it, no quesstionss assked. You might think that'ss not important, but when we're out on the field, and ssomeone givess the sssignal, and you don't obey, you could get hurt. Essspecially when we're doing the more complicated routiness. You following?" Naja raised an eyebrow at the small gathering of girls, cobras hissing their irritation. It sort of irritated her that she and Shehk had gone to the business of raising the funds for the uniforms, only to have someone show up in one.

Determined not to have her previous accomplishment of carrying heavy things a long way pretty darn well - become a one hit wonder, Emily marched confidently onto the field. Well, wobbled confidently. The barrel she was carrying was large and ungainly. But it was important! And even better, she was almost there!
So close to another success. Her arms trembled a little. Okay, maybe a lot.
"Need a little, help?" Her familiar suddenly spoke up behind her, startling the witch. She spun around...and then around, and oh she was tipping! Toppling! She got it! Safe! But no, she didn't and there she goes.
Mr. Monty's "help" during this included encouragements of, "Half the school just saw your underwear, and is it supposed to be that colour?" and "Oh look, it's Mr. Darcy, why is he shirtless?" By the end, Emily herself was a bit worse for the wear, but by Jack that barrel had made it!
"Captains!" She announced with a smart salute, though still flushed and a bit out of breath. "The Haterade is here. It's Angry Orange, for extra electrofryte replenishment! Umm..." flushing further, the witch suddenly realized there were already a bunch of girls there. With a small cough, she continued, trying to maintain her serious business attitude, "Also, Ithoughtitwasprettyandwouldmatchtheuniforms."
"Which, before you ask, do make all your asses look fat." Pleased with himself, and feeling his work was done for the moment, Mr. Monty began to wander back to the stands.
"S-so sorry!"

"It's MY uniform" Sin's eyes narrowed on the Captain for a moment, she did NOT appreciate the constant insinuation that she was some kind of thief. As if she would ever need or want to steal anything, her uniform, like so many things had been passed down via her family. Demons had a thing about ancestry it seemed and Sin was no exception to the rule.
She turned to Naja and considered for a long moment her options. She could quite simply tell them both off, but the truth was she wanted on the team. Her pride was holding a major war half wanting to defend herself and stand her ground and half telling her to just suck it up. Naja's words made her fingers slowly curl in a bit almost ready to turn into a fist. They were NOT all equal as the Gorgon presumed. Not because some were demons or undead or monsters, if was simply a fact that some of them would be more talented then others. She didn't need the words though, she would prove it to them with her actions.
Slowly she tipped her head a bit in a sign of acquiescence. "I'll change as REQUESTED," She turned her gaze back onto Shehk "but until your MY Captain, don't bark orders at me." She turned and sauntered back towards the lockers to change out of her uniform and into her gym clothes. Black shorts and a tank made an outfit far more comfortable and revealing then the Fearleading uniform, but Sin was still loathe to give it up. She smoothed a hand over the skirt as she put it away imagining how her mother must have looked in it years ago. Well, she'd be able to wear it again soon enough...soon enough.
She walked back out onto the field as Naja finished her little speech and gave her wings a quick stretch. She was still a bit tense and tried to take a deep breathe and let it go. If she made it on the team she was going to have to take orders, which wouldn't be such an issue if the undead captain didn't seem to hate her so much. Was it because she was a demon? Was she experiencing somekind of strange reverse racism? She slowly smiled at that thought and had to keep from rolling her eyes. It wasn't like the demons were the only ones to discriminate against others not their kind.

She came dressed in a pink work out shorts and a white sports bra. She set Mimic down in the grass and smiled as he jumped around to explore. "Don't go too far," she warned, before walking over and filling out the paper. She wasn't happy that one of the captains was an undead but eh, surely she had earned her position? That warranted some respect for only the best and most experienced would be captains.
She smiled at the exchange between the other demon and the two captains. She loved drama and cat fights between girls were always the best. So feisty. While Sin was her friend, she could understand how the captains probably felt. Sin was not yet on the squad and this was a very audacious move, even for a demon of her caliber. Even if it was her uniform, it hadn't been earned. You do not simply inherit your way into the squad. Ah, succubi, they were even more full of themselves than her impish kind. Still, Sin was the closest thing she had to a friend right now and it would be nice to be on the squad together.
"I hope I'm not too late," she greeted, smiling at everyone. She could be friendly when she wanted.

Though he had taken his sweet time in making it to the tryouts, Thackery seemed especially enthusiastic. He was practically dancing, as excitable dogs are wont to do, by the time he made it to the rest of the group. He wore his FEARleading uniform, altered just slightly for the occasion - it was carefully bunched up and secured with a scaretie, showing off his tummy.
"Hello, everyone!" he greeted them all with a wave. The boy was all smiles, and almost looked like he could be on a human cheerleading team instead. "Good call on the Haterade!" Emily got an impressive two thumbs up for her thoughtfulness. "I think that we'll be needing it."
He'd meant for the comment to somehow be intimidating to the students trying out for the team, but it was so ambiguous that not even he was sure of the necessary reaction to it. Well, so much for that.
