The Holywells had arrived at the time they had said they would, as usual, and found Melody working on homework that was due the next day. They seemed proud of this fact, paid her for her time and offered to drive her home for the night. Politely she declined, she would be meeting her father at the bus station to be picked up. It had once been their usual routine once the Klein's had decided Melody was trusted enough to walk that far on her own, and it was something they still did now. Though what would happen when she had a babysitting job during school nights she wasn't sure. Maybe she could talk to the principal and see if she could get wavers for past curfew whenever she was needed.

Bidding the couple farewell, after showing Istas' mother the pretty picture that had been colored for her, the blonde made her way out of the house and down the sidewalk. Luckily the bus stop wasn't too far away, so it wouldn't be too long of a walk. Nor would it be too long of a wait for her father. When she arrived he was there and she eagerly climbed into the car. The ride was silent, save the music on the radio, and that was fine. More then fine, as it was something to focus on instead of the creeping thoughts that had plagued her earlier.

She didn't have the same reprieve when they reached home and she bid her father goodnight before heading to her bedroom. Actually she had no distractions as she shut her bedroom door and was greeted in silence. Of course she turned on her iPod before moving to get ready for bed but she had been fairly sure that it was her father's presence that had dampened the thoughts before hand. It wouldn't be the first time.

As she removed her dress to change into a night gown, brown fell to the floor as she heard the henshin pen fall followed by the fluttering of the picture she had taken from Istas' coloring book. Kneeling she bent down to pick them up - pen in one hand and the picture in the other. Unfolding it she looked it over as she sat down on the edge of her bed.

What was it about the idea of possibly being a princess that suddenly pulled at her chest, making her heart feel a bit heavy? She knew that they were supposed to be searching for their princess, or so she'd been told. So far there was no sign of this princess but two more had shown up. The leader of the Zodiacs and the currently missing "Black Queen" that Azzo had once mentioned. There was also rumor of the senshi of dreams being a princess too, but that was something she didn't have an absolute answer to. Which made her wonder, did she possibly have a princess form of herself?

Had there been, at one time, a princess of Lacrimosa? Could she have been, in a time she didn't remember, a princess as well? What more was there to being a sailor soldier that she didn't know? What didn't she know?

A heavy sigh left the Vietnamese girl and she stood from the bed to head to her closet, setting the paper and pen down on the near by desk. It was far too late to be worrying about such things, she had school the next day! But she couldn't help but wonder if there was a way she could get more information. There had to be some one who knew the answers to her questions, if only she could find them!

Dressed and ready for bed, she paused at her vanity to take down her usual pigtails and brush out her hair. It was getting much longer, she hoped it would reach her waist by Christmas time. So fair it looked like it might and this knowledge made her happy. With quick and even strokes she brushed out her pale locks, counting to one hundred as her Gran had taught her oh so long ago. When she finished the brush was set down and she moved for the large bed that called to her.

Even as she lay down, however, and told herself not to worry about the ifs and unknowns of what she was Melody couldn't help but wonder. Maybe even hope a little. Dressing up and pretending to be a princess was one thing, but to actually be a princess- How wonderful that would be!

Eyes closed she couldn't help but to picture what it might be like. And when she finally fell to the lull of the sandman's dream dust she dreamt the night away of being a princess... Complete with her own prince.
