As much as I am a Fable fan, I am also a roleplaying geek. So I figured, why not mix the two? So I plan on making a Fable RP, but in order for one to be successful, it is best to seek out others who might be interested.
That being said, would anyone be interested in taking part in a Fable RPG?

You mean like, forum roleplay, that sort of thing? Or RPG, as in something you might find on Kongregate?
I have mixed feelings on the Fable universe for RP-ing. Like yeah, I can do it, but I wound up playing Fable 2, right? One of my problems with that game is with the setting. Like it feels as though the developers want to be both really silly and really serious and thus get away with being neither. Like take that quest where you kill 100 Hollow Men and get back the Normanomicon, for example. How'd it get there? It wasn't planted by some malevolent society, like in Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance. It wasn't some deranged necromancer plotting to rid Bowerstone of all life as we know it. No, it was these two retard brothers going "DURRRRR LET RAIZ ZAHMBEES LOLZ OMG HAXXORZ D8" who should probably both be at least neutered, if not removed from the gene pool forcibly and given Darwin Awards posthumously. (Not that I mind just having me, my weapons and magic, and 100 Hollow Men. 3nodding )
Like there are SOME parts where they get their serious/silly priorities straight (See... well, any of the other three Heroes, really--Hannah, Garth, or Reaver, all of whom felt pretty well fleshed out). It's just that I'd feel weird about RPing in a Fable setting. Or maybe it's just I missed out on the first one?

Uh, I would assume it would be forum rping, as I have no idea what Kongregate is. ^_^;
As far as Fable 2 goes, I loved the atmosphere personally. The limited size of the plot is what got on my nerves. But to tell you the truth, this rp would be with completely new characters, plot, and quest lines, so the whole silly/serious thing doesn't have to take place if we don't want it to. It will be set in the Fable universe, with a few familiar characters popping in or joining the party, but ultimately, we the players will be the ones setting the scope of the story. Does that make sense? Or am I just blathering?

when Love cast me out So like we could have a guy who likes guns from bowerstone, someone who discovered will from oakdale, and a chick who's good with swords from... wraithmarsh. And they go on adventures together through Albion? That could be fun... but someone would have to be a story teller of sorts so that there would be quests... Otherwise it would get dull kinda fast. it was Cruelty who took pity upon me

I suppose someone could play Theresa, or someone like her, to propel the others through quests. Kinda like a Game Master in a tabletop RPG. And if they want to take part in the festivities, they can come up with a second character to be a part of the main group of heroes.

Lol, i think what our trying to get at is Forum RPG, i have never done it myself but there are quite a few sites online which one of my old friends use'd, It sounds like a laugh but aparently you need to play under some kinda rules, such as you can kill another human player and so on, I don't realy know how it works but it could be a laugh but as people were saying Fable is already an RPG XD

Even still, if things are set up properly, I suppose a Fable-based rp could be interesting.
The last thing I'd want to see is it being turned into a fan-based rp filled with Mary Sues, Gary Stues, and people with posts worthy of a good few face-desks.
