After changing into a comfortable pair of shoes, Lizzy had left the Dorms to take a walk, taking it as a chance to get to know the school better as well as to relax. It was a nice change to be outdoors for once, staring up at the eternally night sky and feeling the breeze in her hair; the design of the interior of the Dorms was great, but staying indoors the whole day was kind of stiffening... Especially since classes take place indoors as well.
It hadn't been that long since she moved in, but she couldn't help but miss home - not only the place, but the family and friends she had to leave behind in order to study as well. She sighed inwardly, wondering if they missed her as well.
However, it was getting late (How does that work anyway, seeing as its always night?) and she got the feeling that it was time to stop brooding and head back. It was not like her to stay down anyway, and she had already met some really interesting individuals that she had came to like as friends. The thought brought a faint smile to her face as she returned to the Dorms and made her way back to her room. Passing by the common room, she stopped, unable to resist the urge to take a peek, wondering if anyone was up.

Alcyone had been in her dorm for the longest time trying to fix things up and personalize it so that it screamed 'Aicie.' Though, it was probably time that she went out and look around at the rest of the campus before she had to actually go to class and whatnot. It would suck getting lost on her first day.
So far, Alcyone had adapted to dorm life well even though she did miss her family especially her brother. It had been a rather sad farewell but she would try to visit often if it was possible. They wanted her to focus on school but she didn't really care too much at this point.
There was nobody around when she was walking down the hallways down towards the entrance of the dorm. The demon had made it down to the common room and was sitting on one of its luscious chairs when she heard Lizzy walk into the dorms. Looking up eagerly, Alcyone smiled as she saw Lizzy peek into the dorms. "Hello there!" She was a tad enthusiastic but Alcyone was social by nature; there were a lot of students here that she wanted to meet.

The chipper greeting made Lizzy smile, although it was an unconscious act; while she had refused to admit it, even to herself, she was a little worn out from school. Not having close friends around sucked... In fact, it had been a while since she had heard such an uplifting voice that it improved her mood immediately. Excited, she spun around to face the owner of the voice, and in an equally happy voice, returned the greeting, "Hello!"
The girl she was looking at was beautiful and possessed, for a lack of a better word, a really fit body. Immediately, she could see her fitted into various pieces of clothing she knew she personally would be unable to pull off - a sun dress fit to be worn to the beach, for example.
"I'm Elizabeth Baines, but I prefer being called Lizzy," She nodded with a smile, extending a hand towards the other ghoul, "I didn't see you in class - did you just arrive?"

Alcyone was also feeling a little out of place without her friends back home and her brother but this only made her want to get more involved and meet new people. School was going to be a whole new adventure for her though and she was going to make sure that she made a splash around here.
Even though Alcie hadn't met too many different students, they had all been friendly towards her and she really liked that. She wasn't perturbed by students who weren't friendly and she just left them alone. If they didn't want to be her friend, why would she want to be theirs?
Gazing at the other demon, Alcie immediately noticed her adorable hair style and her dress. Alcie wasn't exactly very fashionable and up to this point in her life, her mother was still dictating what she would where. She made sure to make Alcie as feminine as possible and Alcie conceded to her mother on this fact. It wasn't like Alcie was particularly interested in fashion but she knew what she liked.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Lizzy! I'm Alcyone but I don't mine being called Alcie." Smiling and reaching out to shake Lizzy's hand, she was a little too excited to be meeting someone new. "Yeah I just arrived a few days ago so I missed some of the earlier classes. Though I'm enrolled in Curses, Hexes, and Spells and Shadowcraft right now. What classes are you taking?"

"I'll call you Alcie then!" She smiled, giving the ghoul a firm handshake before sitting down on one of the armchairs beside her. Turning to face Alcie, she pulled her legs up onto the seat to make herself comfortable before she nodded, "Ah, so that's why! Hm... Well, I'm enrolled in Emergency Aid, Shadowcraft, Forms and Faces, Literature and Curses, Hexes and Spells... I wanted to go for Stealth and Gym as well, but I was late for the enrollment and missed them. Ah well, maybe for the later sessions..." She looked disappointed for a moment, but quickly perked up, "It seems like a long list, but I thought there was no harm trying out all the classes to see which ones I would enjoy more."
Pausing after realizing that she spoke alot, the Demon giggled, blushing a pale pink before tilting her head, "So... Which classes are you interested in?"

Smiling once more, Alcie turned to look at Lizzy while she spoke. Wow, she was enrolled in a lot of classes and Alcie had missed a lot of the enrollment times. "Wow, that is a long list. I don't know if I could handle the homework for all of those classes." They all really sounded interesting but she really wanted to take classes that would help her the most right now. And she needed to please her parents for at least the first semester so that they would let her be.
"The classes I'm currently taking seem really interesting so far but I also want to try to enroll in Emergency Aid, Stealth, and Gym. Hopefully I can get into a later session." Alcie didn't always like listening to herself talk or really talking about herself in general so she was always good at listening to others. "But yeah! It's good to figure out what you like to do and school is all about learning about each of the different studies." Alcie almost wished that she could be that dedicated to school but for now, she just wanted to have fun and not be too serious.

"Yeah, and I still don't know which ones to pick!" Lizzy laughed, shaking her head, "Ah, yeah, homework - I was worried at first, but the in-class assignments given had been fun so far! Homework can't be too far off, right? I have a feeling I might enjoy it actually..." She sounded optimistic, and from the grin on her face, Lizzy was actually confident that she would be able to cope with her homework at this point in time.
"Agreed! I'm learning already!" She smiled, leaning forward as she propped her elbows up on the arm of the armchair, resting her chin on her hands. Looking thoughtful, she continued, "Although I suppose I am worried about not being able to cope once club activities start... I heard from the seniors that clubs make school life more fun, so I joined one. Its not official yet though, so we hadn't done anything..." She then paused suddenly, like she just remembered something, "Oh! Are you in any clubs, Alcie? You look like the athletic sort!"

Giggling, Alcyone should be thinking about taking a few more classes but she really didn't feel like dealing with the work load. It would make her parents a lot happier if she was a better student but Alcie had different priorities. "That's true! Classes have been really interesting so the homework can't be that bad."
As Lizzy spoke, Alcyone crossed her legs and adjusted her skirt accordingly. Her mother's choice in clothing was a pain sometimes but at least it kept her mother happy. "Ooh clubs. I've been thinking about joining a few and I think I'm going to be trying out for the swim team. At first, I was thinking about the Fearleaders but I don't think that I'm cut out for that kind of commitment. And it also doesn't help that I'm not that coordinated on land." Smiling slightly, Alcyone knew that it came with the territory of being a water demon. She felt a lot more at home in the water and even though she was athletic on land, it didn't quite feel the same. "What clubs are you joining?" Maybe Lizzy could give her some insights on what Alcie should join because she really wanted to meet more students and get more involved!

"It helps to take classes that interest you too," She nodded in agreement, a smile on her lips as she giggled, "Although I don't think I actually disliked anything I had attended so far..."
"The swim team?" Lizzy echoed, wincing just a little; she didn't have a very good experience in water when she was a child and had been avoiding swimming since then... Spiders just weren't build to swim! However, judging from Alcie's ear fins, she must be a water Demon of some sort - built for water! Smiling brightly, she nodded, "I'm sure you'll do great!"
A short pause followed before she continued, blushing slightly, "Ah... Well, I've applied for the FFF - Frighteningly Fashionable Freaks - a Fashion club, and its recently been approved! I'm rather excited - my family runs a clothing store, so I thought it might be great if I learn more about what other people like to wear." She paused again, a thoughtful look crossing her face, "Although I've heard rumors of an upcoming Student Council Sign-up since the members change every semester... I'm kind of interested in that too, although I'm not sure if first years can apply."

((omg I fail so much. sorry for taking forever! ;_; ))
"Yeah, I've found that I enjoy the majority of my classes and all of the topics are rather interesting. Most of them I could use to my advantage..." Alcyone knew that she hadn't done anything too crazy yet but her thoughts had been going crazy recently with new ideas. The school was so large and there were so many opportunities to wreak havoc. Judging from Lizzy's expression, Alcie could tell that Lizzy wasn't exactly a swimmer. It was unfortunate considering that the water was her home but she knew that Lizzy wasn't the only student that probably had bad experiences like that. "Thank you. Hopefully I'll make the team." Though, she was sure that she would. Alcie was too confident especially about her swimming to really think that she wouldn't make the team.
"Ooh. That's so cool. I've never really had a good fashion sense. My mother has always handled all of that for me..." Smiling sheepishly, Alcie knew that her current closet was a product of her mother's constant shopping and designing habits. It made sense though. Lizzy's outfit was too adorable even though Alcie knew she couldn't pull it off. "Oh yeah the Student Council stuff. I'm pretty sure first years can apply. Are you thinking about running for a position?"

"Yes, yes! I agree!" Lizzy giggled with a nod, smiling as her giggles faded, "And you will make it, I'm sure of it!" Judging from her tone and facial expression, the demoness really believed on what she said; she imagined a water Demon to be good in the water, after all! Musing out loud, she then added, "Maybe you can even teach me how to swim one day... It must be like second nature to you though, I imagine!"
Her eyes widened a little at Alcie's comment, looking more impressed than surprised, "Your mother has good taste!" Then, she blushed, realizing how that made it sound like the water Demon didn't have a good fashion sense. Quickly, she continued, "Although I've always believed that a good sense of fashion simply means dressing yourself up in something that you're comfortable in, and looks 'you' rather than just following the trends... I'm sure you're more than capable of doing that! Maybe we can go to the Maul together one day!" She seemed rather excited as she finished her sentence, beaming at the other ghoul.
"Really? Ah, actually, I am..." She shifted in her seat, her blush deepening slightly, wondering if applying for a position was too far-fetched an idea, "I'm thinking of running for treasurer, since I figured the experience would help me in the future, seeing how I'll be running my mother's store and all..."
