Ah, the park. He knew a few senshi liked to patrol near here, though he hadn't bumped into any at the moment. He didn't know why he had come to this place, knowing others would probably be here, taking care of it and taking all the fun fights.
Or maybe he wasn't here looking for a youma or a negaverser to fight. Sometimes, the most fun came from messing with other Senshi like himself.
He subconsciously wanted to annoy someone.
He looked around, he wished he had brought his paintball gun with him. But he didn't want to carry it around when he was powered up. Especially if he got into a fight and it ended up getting damaged or something. He would not let that happen.
So he had nothing to do.
He was walking through and area for baseball games, and found a ball on the ground. He grinned, wondering how hard he could throw it while in his Senshi form. But first, he needed to find something to throw it at.

Sailor Denebola was still getting used to being a Senshi as well as patrolling. At first the redhead had been hesitant to even go out as a senshi because she wasn't sure she wanted to go out alone. It certainly wasn't because she was scared. No, Denebola was scared of nothing...at least that's what she told herself.
That was actually why the girl was out an about cautiously making her way through the park(since she knew the layout of the area better than any other part of Destiny City) because she wouldn't let herself be a coward and stay inside, in her room, away from all the action and danger.
Nope, that certainly wouldn't do. Besides her last night of patrolling had proved to be rather productive, she had met another scout and had taken down a monster. So here she was walking around the baseball field, fist clenched, looking around for any sign of danger.

Chaonis looked around. He could have sworn he felt something, but he wasn't sure what it was. Not great at recognizing the things his new senses told him, he looked around and spotted a form across the field.
He didn't know who it was, or what it was, but something told him it wasn't a normal person. And if it wasn't a normal person, that meant he could throw the baseball at it without feeling bad.
Not that he would.
He tossed the ball up in the air thoughtfully, then pulled his arm back in preparation to throw it. He grinned, smirking really, before he launched the ball as hard as he could toward the shadowy form across the field. Whatever it was, it was about to get a big surprise. He wasn't aiming to hit it, but maybe fly right by it, or clip it.
He didn't know, he wasn't great at baseball. His aim wasn't as good as it might have been if it were, say, a paintball gun.

Denebola could feel a change in the air, a flash of power perhaps, as she moved closer to the center of the baseball field. Being new to the whole 'powered hero' thing she wasn't really aware that she gave off a different feel than a civilian when she was henshined up or that others did the same she didn't understand the weird change. She paused slowly glancing around, looking for whatever it might be.
Unfortunately for her she wasn't looking in the right direction as a baseball came hurtling toward her. She barely caught sight of the thing out of the corner of her eye just before it came slamming into her side with enough force to not only knock her off balance but to take the wind out of her.
What in the world?
She staggered about gasping for air and clutching her now wounded side tightly. "Ow!" she cried out whirling to face the direction it had come from. "Who ever threw that is in BIG trouble!"

Chaonis watched as the ball curved in the air, shaking his head. It wasn't going to go where he wanted it to, that was for sure. He shook his head, sighing as he made to start walking toward his target.
As he approached he saw it fall, and grinned. Well, he at least got a hit! Even if it wasn't as high as he had thought it was going to be. But did he really want to hit someone in the head with a baseball? Especially powered up.
Still, he had gotten the vibe that this was either another senshi or a negaverser... or maybe some kind of bipedal, human-like youma. So it would be fine.
Hearing a voice, he grinned.
"Sorry!" He called back, jogging over, "I'm sorry! I was aiming for your head but it went a bit low. Didn't mean to hit you in the side."
He stopped, seeing that it was a girl, and it was a senshi. Eh! She could take the hit, then. He also only apologized for hitting her in the side: not for hitting her or throwing the ball at her. Because he wasn't really sorry for any of it.
"Did you see where the ball went?"

Denebola was not pleased by the boy's 'apology' and it showed in the way she held herself. She was no longer clutching her side but her arms were folded across her chest and her lips were pressed together in a frown. "You're lucky it didn't hit me in the face," she growled glaring at him. It was obvious to her now that he was a senshi, otherwise he probably wouldn't have hit her so hard from as far away as he had been.
If the baseball had hit her in the face...well it certainly wouldn't have been pretty. If there was anything that the girl cared about more than anything else in the world was her appearance and beauty and if she had been hit in the face and it had left a lasting mark. Well, they say hell hath no fury like a woman's scorned.
As he was obviously unaffected by the obvious fact she was upset, stated by the fact that he wasn't sorry for hitting her just for hitting her in the wrong place she shook her head and rolled her eyes. "Like I care? And even if I saw where it went why would I tell you?" She asked. "So you could throw it at me again?"
Ha. Like she'd let that happen.

"No, I think you're lucky it didn't hit you in the face," he corrected cheekily, grinning. He didn't seem perturbed at all that he could have hurt her if she had been a normal human. Or, hell, if he had managed to hit her in a bad spot. He really had no business throwing baseballs at people at all.
Save for the fact that it was fun.
"Well..." he said, returning to his search for the ball, eyes scanning the floor as she questioned him about why she should help him. "Yeah. I mean, I had fun the first time, and now I want to see what would happen if I did hit you in the face. I get the feeling you were threatening me just now."
He grinned.
"And you're no good if you don't follow through on your threats. Even if they're veiled. And anyway, it was a nice baseball, and I could use it to throw at other things, too."
He moved away from her, spotting the ball some distance away.
"Ah ha! Wow, that got some bounce. What are you made of? Rubber? Or do you have a bouncy layer of fat?"

Denebola most certainly did not like this boy's attitude. He was rude, uncaring and rather aggravating. Not that he seemed to care, obviously. She wanted to snap at him, to call him an ugly name or something but she held her tongue. She figured that he wanted to get her all riled up and she wasn't going to give him the satisfaction. No, she was better than that.
At least she liked to think so, but she wasn't sure how long she'd be able to hold herself back.
"As if I would let you," she snorted settling her weight on her left leg and placing a hand on her right hip. She hadn't seen the baseball coming when he initially hit her because really, who goes around throwing balls at random people? But now, since she had seen a bit of Charonis's character and the fact that he seemed all too happy to repeat his actions...she wasn't about to let him get another chance.
It was going to be a lot harder to hit her a second time. The tennis player knew how to dodge a ball flying toward her when necessary, if she saw it coming that is. Well they would see in this case.
When he indicated that she had fat she was rather offended and it showed in the way her lips pressed together tightly, her eyes narrowed and her brow furrowed. She rolled her eyes at him. "Hardly, it simply hit me with enough force to ricochet off and roll through the grass until it lost momentum."
Now she was pondering if she could get to the ball quicker to prevent him from being able to chuck it at her again. If she started now...and her attack could prove to be pretty handy...
She took a few steps forward.

Chaonis watched her, expecting her to get angry and yell at him, or storm off. She didn't do either, however, and he raised his eyebrows in surprise. She was an interesting one, it seemed, and he grinned as she put her hand on her hip defiantly. Was she challenging him?
He liked a challenge.
"Well, it wouldn't be half as fun if you just let me hit you with it again," he pointed out, eying the ball in the grass thoughtfully before he looked back to gauge the distance between them. He wouldn't have much fun throwing it at this distance, he imagined, though if she could dodge it that would be impressive. He was still getting used to all the perks of being a senshi, so he wasn't aware of the limits of their boosts.
It hardly seemed like the time to try and do a study, but then, Chaonis had never been a very good student. He did things on his own time, which apparently didn't work for homework and assignment schedules. But this was all for himself, so he didn't have to impress or placate anyone else.
He grinned.
"Did you just look at my balls... ball?"
He seemed to see that she was going to go for it, so he moved to get it first, grinning all the while. She was going to be fun, he could tell already. Which was good: it would have been disappointing if she had just taken the easy way out and left in a huff.

"Who says you'll even get the chance," she rolled her eyes as she took another step forward. At this point they were about equal distance with him being a few feet closer than she was. It wasn't much of an advantage but it was an advantage none the less. One that she didn't have much time to think about.
"So you admit that you only have one ball then?" She cracked a grin as she broke into a run just as it seemed he did. The sailor scout didn't even bother to glance at the boy, she could see him darting forward out of the corner of her eye, because she knew that if she lost her focus for even a split second she would lose.
Playing sports, even if it was simply recreational, proved to be an advantage of her own. She was used to running back and forth while playing tennis and often went running on her own. It didn't take her long to get just a little bit ahead of him.
Without thinking she dove for the ball. She managed to get her hand on it and sprang back up as quickly as she could. A satisfied smirk was on her lips until she realized she barely beat him, which meant that he was probably still going for the ball.
Just because she had it didn't mean she was going to keep it.

Chaonis was shocked when she managed to get ahead of him. He saw he was not going to get the ball, even as her hand reached out to snatch the ball from the ground. He frowned, pulling back and letting her take it.
"Stealing isn't nice," he pointed out innocently.
Of course, it wasn't like he had brought the baseball from home. He had found it, and laid claim to it. Effectively stealing it himself. But hey, he had gotten there first, and now it was his. She had no right stealing it again: that was just rude.
"What're you gonna do with that? You don't look like the kind of girl who knows how to handle balls."
He grinned at his own joke there, watching her challengingly. He was very easily amused, it seemed, and was actually having fun with this strange little rivalry. He wanted to see if she would try to throw it at him, or if she would walk away. Or something more creative!

She cocked a brow at him when he accused her of stealing. "I'd hardly call this steal, more as withholding an item from you," she told him stepping backwards. "Besides I doubt you brought it with you, there's several littered around the various baseball diamonds, don't get your panties in a bunch sweetheart," she pointed out tossing the ball in the air and catching it with her other hand. It was heavier than the tennis balls she played with and slightly bigger that one too.
She was debating whether or not to throw it at him.
"Honey you don't know the first thing about me, besides I doubt you have any balls to handle," she remarked starkly. While he came across as rather rude, uncaring and in some ways mean Denebola had to admit to herself that she kinda enjoyed their banter.
She tossed the ball from one hand to the other once again taking another couple of steps backward. Then she tilted her head, pondered something, before tossing up high in the air towards him.
"Catch."

Chaonis laughed, despite himself, as she told him he had his panties in a bunch. He shook his head, looking down at his pants.
"I guess they might be a bit bunched. You could always fix them, if you wanted to, if you were offering."
He grinned again.
He watched her as she threw the ball up into the air, and blinked. He, being part dog apparently, moved to catch the ball. He didn't know what she was up to, but he was thinking that it was something fun. He hoped, at least, because if he was simply being allowed to catch the baseball again he was going to be disappointed.
Plus, this was the most fun he had been allowed to have recently. No monsters, no people dying. Just two super powered beings challenging each other to something not important in any way. That was his kind of a situation, if he could design one for himself.

Denebola cocked a brow, placing her hands on her hips, a taunting smile dancing on her lips. "Are you asking?" She teased with a shake of her head. When she tossed him the ball she kept her eyes on him rather than it and it was obvious that she was planning something.
Watching as his eyes followed the ball she took a step forward. Then another and another before she broke into a run, heading relatively straight toward him. There wasn't too much distance between them, most of it was created when she had thrown the ball, so it didn't take her very long to get pretty close to him.
Then she tackled him.
She didn't say anything, didn't do anything except for throw her weight into her shoulder that she attempted to throw into him. She didn't even say why.

Chaonis laughed.
"I wouldn't say asking," he said, thoughtfully, wondering what he would say it was. But his attention was drawn by the baseball, anyway, so he didn't really have enough time to come up with something biting and clever in that vein of conversation.
But he'd come up with something even better later.
He caught the ball and thought himself pretty triumphant, looking back down in order to grin at her only to find she was not where he had left her. In fact, she was a hell of a lot closer, and then she ran right into him. He let out a cry of surprise, yet for whatever reason he refused to let go of the ball.
"What are you doing?!" he yelped, trying to wrestle her away from him. She had knocked the wind out of him, so his voice was a bit higher than he might have liked it to be.
