With a dozing Boo asleep on one leg, Julian stage cross-legged on top of the school's main building, his back propped up against a tower wall as he stared off into the distance. It was quiet up there, not loud like down in the dorms or the school's main building. He wasn't used to this many people. He'd had his older brothers growing up, but he wasn't the kind of child to go out and socialize, even thought his parents would have liked him to. His solitary life had a rude awakening when he came to school.
The Harbinger demon wasn't short, but he certainly wasn't tall, either. And suddenly he was walking among other young monsters and demons and ghosties and whatnot who towered over him. And if that wasn't daunting enough, there were also much more fierce students, ones he was sure could pummel him into nothingness if they wanted to. Needless to say, he was easily intimidated by others.
Being able to flee the chaos and get some fresh air at the same time (Since in theory he could just go back to his room, but then he wouldn't be outside) was a nice reprieve. He'd brought Boo up with him this time because, well, the Scrag was the only one of his pets that really liked to go anywhere with him, and was small enough to. A book stuck out of a black backpack covered in jagged grayish symbols, ready to be picked up and read. But Julian decided to hold off a little bit.

Morton had decided that maybe, just maybe, the main school building's roof would be a better place to sun (or moon) bathe in than his dorm room's roof. After all, he was pretty sure that climbing the side of this building wouldn't get him yelled at by any ghouls he might unknowingly upset by drawing too near their window. That and well, last time he'd gone up the dorm room's building, he'd been interrupted by a witch of all creatures.
Was there really no hope for a moment of peace and quiet where he could just lay down and be god damned lazy around here? He was starting to think that this was perhaps, worse than back home, where he'd rarely been left two minutes alone to himself.
So thus, up the main school building he went, wings outstretched despite the fact he wasn't using them at the moment. It was only when there was bare few feet to his goal that he pushed himself off the wall and into the sky, flapping his wings to propel himself over the edge of the ledge, where he landed rather gracefully. He smirked, pleased with the graceful movement, and would have proceded wit lay down on the ledge had his eyes not caught sight of the strange, owl like student to his right, "Oh, for the love of-!" he growled and frowned.
Yes, there was just no hope for a moment's peace.
Damnit.

Julian looked up with a start at the sudden appearance of another student. He looked like he was a monster, but Julian wasn't completely sure and didn't like to jump to conclusions about others. He got that enough himself to know it wasn't fun.
And then the other student caught sight of him. He wasn't happy.
Julian frowned in response and tilted his head to one side. "Is something wrong?" he asked, barely a hint of a stutter in his words. He didn't really have it when he was around other boils, since he was used to them, just as long as it was one-on-one. If he was faced with a group, the stutter would definitely be back.
He couldn't understand what had upset the other flyer. Had he taken someone's perch by accident? Well, if that was the case, he didn't mind moving. There was plenty of space on the roof. This spot just had the best view.
