Zaina'Nafisa never ever really could grow up. For in her eyes she saw the world as a kind loving place, a place that was always bright and shining. Though it seemed as if everyone she had met didn't see the land in the same way. If only someone else could see that being a cub was the best way to live...maybe she wouldn't feel like such an outcast...
Today the sun seemed to shine the brightest it had ever shined before. The sun shined as bright as her soul did today. Despite the feeling she had lingering inside her about being all alone in her world. Nothing would stop her from enjoying the day today, for today she had decided that no matter what the others thought. Today she would act completely like a young cub, and she would call it act like a cub day! Even though she did that every day she decided she still wanted a day for it, or really a reason to act the way she always did. "Yay!" she said with excitement as she pounced into the air at the thought of her idea. Once she landed back on her face she began to just pounce through the land. As she did so she began thinking of the all the wondrous things she would do today and all the fun she would have. As her mind wandered into the clouds, so did her eyes that were supposed to be watching where she was going...

Mchezacha'hila was, like Zaina, a rather immature young lion. Though his full mane was quickly growing in and the strength in his stride seemed to increase every day, he found little use for it outside playing pranks on both old and young lions alike. He enjoyed the lightheartedness of being the Trickster. Though he was certain to have made enemies in his time, he thought that his antics made him more friends than enemies. If nothing else, he could laugh it off with the poor victim later. And traps! Oh, if there was nothing in his life but darkness, traps would light his days forever! He loved setting new traps, luring some poor lion into a seeping puddle of mud or down a pit filled with creepy crawlies.
Sometimes the more intricate traps took the better part of a few weeks to produce results, but Mkodi bless his little heart, Mcheza was absolutely in love with his traps.
On a bright day like today, though, Mcheza cared little for traps or pranks. He had hunted to test his newfound strength, and satiated himself on a fallen hare. So, Mcheza sprawled out on the ground and closed his eyes, sighing contentedly. Sure, he was laying in the middle of what was, essentially, one of many winding paths. And sure, he'd probably be trampled if a rampaging herd of wildebeasts ran through, but damned if he wasn't comfortable. He stretched, finding juuuust the right way to lay on his side with his front legs twisted forward, and closed his eyes. Ahh. Comfy.

Zaina'Nafia just kept walking with her eyes shut, as she took in the smells of the beautiful sky. The smells only made her mind wonder further into her thoughts. Who knew such wonderful days could be full of such crazy activities. For in her mind she had already thought of twenty things she could do today. Though all the things she had thought of would be better with two people, she knew today all she really had was herself. That didn't bother her though a smile still grew on her face as she thought of all the fun ideas. She just had to do them inside that was the only thing she cared about right now. Sniffing the air once more she didn't dare open her eyes for she was afraid she might lose all the ideas she had thought of.
So she kept walking with her eyes closed unsure which path she was now on. That was until she tripped on something large and landed face first into the ground she was walking on. "Hey! What was that?!" she yelled in a slightly pain ached voice as her face lay in the dirt. "Why is something just in the middle of the land ... there's normally nothing out here I thought," she said outloud not knowing that she had really just tripped over a living breathing lion cub. A sight that she would never believe as she soon as she got the strength to get up that is.

Mcheza had been quite relaxed in the middle of that path. So much so that, while normally he'd have at least heard her coming, he didn't hear anything until it was too late and then somebody was toppling over him. With a disgruntled yelp, the young lion tried to pull out from beneath the cub who'd tripped over him, growling a little in frustration. "Ow, what the--"
He very nearly nipped at the flank of said cub, exasperated. "Get off, you're squishing me!" Really, that wasn't likely, given that Mcheza was a rather big lion for his age, but it felt like the right thing to say at the time.

As soon as Zaina looked down at was she had landed on, her face began to blush bright red. She couldn't believe she had landed right on another lion, and with the color of their coat you'd think it be easy to see them. Though no she had to go and trip over and on to the person. "Oh no what have I done," she thought quietly to herself worried she might have actually injured the person she landed on.
As soon as the other cub yelled she quickly scambled to get off from on top of him. "Oh my gosh I am so sorry," Zaina said in a sincere voice since in all honesty she didn't mean to land on them. It was completely on accidently, though sure her eyes were closed but normally she can hear another lion by the noise they make. Though this time she didn't hear a thing, so either one of two things had happened. One she had gotten completely lost in her thoughts and tuned out the world. Which she had done plently of time before without knowing it. Or two he didn't make a sound, which then it wouldn't be just her fault. It would kinda be his too, Since who on earth doesn't make noise? Noise is a naturally thing to make or so she believed anyways, since she made plently of it.
Thoguh either way she knew she did do something to make it happen. So just to make sure the cub was alright she leaned down and said with worry showing in her voice, "Are you okay?"

Mcheza grunted a little when the cub finally got off of him, pushing himself up so he could breathe. She'd knocked the wind right out of his lungs when she fell on top of him. He was certainly going to be feeling that for a while... For a minute, Mcheza didn't even hear her apologies, too busy shaking his head clear. How had she gone and tripped on him, for the love of Mkodi? It wasn't like he blended in with the scenery around here!
His ears twisted towards her at her question, and Mcheza actually looked at her for the first time, blinking slowly. "... Oh. Yeah." He nodded belatedly, snorting a little. "I'm fine." More to the point, how hadn't he heard her walking along? Usually he was good at that... Huh. "Nothing's broken." At least, as far as he could tell.
If he died in his sleep, they'd know better.
"It's alright, really." He snorted a little. "You're not the first to trip over some poor layabout, and you sure won't be the last." He even flashed a grin at Zaina to ease her troubles, shaking himself off. "What's your name?" He asked after a minute, settling in on his rump and eying her. She wasn't a lion he'd met before; he'd recognize the pelt, if nothing else.
