The classroom is dark as students make their way in, though there is enough light to make out the desks arrayed in rows, with one large one at the head of the room. A demon cat curls on a corner of the large desk, yellow eyes assessing each student as they walk in. The student desks are sturdy and well built, made out of a very dark and heavy wood. It's proven rather impervious to carving over the years. The chairs are equally hard and very uncomfortable to sit in. They also seem to be bolted to the floor.

As the students settle into the desks, those paying attention might notice that the room is much larger than the number of desks would indicate. There are curtains over portions of the wall, and a number of objects are shrouded in what appears to be a thick, heavy cloth.

Professor Darcy is nowhere to be seen, which is hardly reassuring for those who are aware of his fondness for startling students. On the other hand, his walking stick (rumored to have actually be a sword) has been laid across the surface of his desk, indicating that he's somewhere within his classroom.

On each of the twelve desks is a sheet of paper. Well, more of a parchment really. It has a space for a student to write their name, and a question.

((I have no nifty image for you! Alas. Please fill out this simple form, and feel free to have your students talk to each other and maybe try and find the teacher. If you think that's a good idea....))

Why I Am Taking This Class: Effective stealth techniques are vital for a successful haunting. Or so they say.

Figg wasn't quite sure why he was even bothering with this class. He was a ghost. He could turn invisible -- what more did he need? And yet, he still found himself floating glumly over one of the hardwood desks as he glanced about the room, taking note of the other students filtering into the room.

Ah well. If nothing else, this would be an easy A.

Valentino walked into the empty classroom (or so he thought). Looking for a sign up sheet, he found a parchment to sign on his newly acquired desk. on. He found the whole introduction portion of the first class a pleasant surprise, he didn't have to introduce himself to the class, just write.

The Parchment
Name: Temes
Why I Am Taking This Class: to better myself while I am hunting for meals at night. While I can effectively rely on my screech to help paralyze a prey should they try to run, being able to move without being detected is quite key

Seeing in the darkness was not a problem for the Chupacabra, moving in the dark was not really a problem either, but that didn't really stop Chuppi from thinking she needed to be better at both. A really good chupacabra would not need to depend on their screech for more than two-thirds of their hunting (like Chuppi did) and instead would be able to move their small by stocky bodies as though they were nothing. When rumors of this class managed to reach her ears the young girl thought it would be in her best interest to sign up and give it a shot, thinking it couldn't hurt to try. At the very worst she would be dismissed from class for not fitting criteria perhaps, but otherwise should she be worried? Doubtful.

When she came into the classroom and took a seat at once of the desks she was quite thankful for how everything was set up and how she could get into a seat without too much stress. The fact that the room was barely illuminated and didn't look like it was as small as the desks suggested was beyond her since she was here to focus!

. . . and maybe get a little nervous. Just a little.

Tybalt peeked into the room. It was dark, but not so dark that he'd walk into something... Thankfully.

When he had first heard that there was a stealth class, he had to check it out. Perhaps he would do well in this particular class? His natural ability was disappearing after all. Perhaps but... After walking in and exploring the class room a little more, he saw "it". Sitting there eying each and every student as they entered, with it's large golden eyes. A cat.

"Oh Bloody Ma---!" Was all he could manage as he literally jumped back over the first row of desks; eyes wide with surprise. Jack damn it! There just had to be a cat present in one of the few classes he was actually interested it! Why couldn't it live in the literature class? He didn't like literature--go there!

Seeing no way around it, the black dog edged to the back of the classroom; picking the desk furthest away from the feline and refusing to take his eyes off of the furry demon. At least there was some distance. He thought, only breaking eye contact long enough to examine the piece of paper on the desk. Oh... This is? He picked it up curiously, before searching his pockets for that elusive snake pen. Ah there it was! Grabbing hold of the scaly creature, he brought the tail tip to the parchment and quickly scribbled in the blanks. A little sloppily due to his hand shaking.

For once, Mai seemed to be among the first students to show up to class. Being that this was a subject she was genuinely interested in, she was happy to note that she wasn't going to be late to her first session. The ghost marked the event as significant, because it meant that she was making progress toward becoming a better student. Kind of, anyway.. Turning up to class on time might seem like a simple matter to others, but she had to take her victories where she could get them!

The dark and quiet atmosphere of the room put a smile on her pale face as she entered. She always felt more at ease when in a dimly lit environment. There was just something about being enveloped in shadows that was inherently comforting to her. Conversely, being in a brightly lit space always made her feel a bit on edge, as if she needed to find a place to hide or get out of sight. It wasn't too much of a bother usually, but it could get annoying. So she was pleased that this classroom at least seemed to suit her preferences for the moment.

Mai found an empty desk and slipped into it. There was a piece of parchment on the table and she eyed it speculatively for a moment. Where was the teacher anyway? Was she really that early? Was it normal for students to show up before the teacher? Lazily, she slid the parchment close to her and examined it. Seemed straight forward enough.

The Parchment
Name: Moriko Mai
Why I Am Taking This Class: Being stealthy is what ghosts do best. I wish to learn how to use this properly to my advantage.

With a nod, she set her pen down and leaned back in her chair. Her ghost flame bobbed near her, sending a soft flickering light across herself and the nearby desks. Not wanting to disrupt the atmosphere, Mai waved her hand through the spirit a few times until it dimmed to a barely perceptible glimmer. More like a smudge of light on the air really. Her own cerulean eyes glowed dimly in the dark as they quietly scanned the room.

Nonpulsed by the darkened room, Onibis grip on the lantern by his side tightened imperceptibly as it flickered once, twice, three times before dimming to a more suitable steady blue glow. Quickly the Ao-andon had come to the conclusion that there was nothing, and no one, of interest as ringed eyes swept the room with an apathetically critical gaze.

Settling himself in one of the desks at the far edge of the room, Onibi took the time to look over the parchment laid across it. With expression impassive and pen held aloft, he began filling the paper out in sharp, clipped text.

Sin felt a vague sense of unease unpon entering her next class. Thusfar classes had been going rather...interestingly. She couldn't exactly say they were going well, but luckily nothing particularly horrible had happened either. She glanced around the room and bit her lip for a moment before huffing. Let the professor play his games then, she would just sit tight until he made his appearance. Slowly and elegantly she draped herself into a seat in the second row and eyed her paper.

Hmm why was she in this class? Well that was simple enough. Afterall wasn't stealth a core part of fear? Didn't one need to be able to slip in and out of human locations such as closets undetected? Yes stealth had many uses and combined with other skills it could be very powerful, very useful.

Why I Am Taking This Class: The art of stealth is an essential to any citizen of halloweentown who wishes to make a foray into the human world. Stealth is a basic building block for many other fear skills. I am taking this class to learn the art of stealth and how to use it to enhance my other skills.

There, she finished writing with a flourish and eyed her paper. Sounded a tad formal but it wasn't like anyone cool was going to see it. She glanced around at the curtains curiously and slowly slid out of her seat. She walked over to one of the curtains as sneakily as possible and waited a moment. Steadily she reached her hand out grabbed and yanked it aside.

Coralie filed into the classroom after the other students. She managed to catch Tybalt's reaction to the lingering cat and had to smile, shaking her head. "Easy there. There are more frightening things in Halloween Town then this," she commented. She said it calmly enough that one could possibly understand she wasn't trying to be mean, but simply matter of fact. As she passed by the cat herself she reached out to give it a scratch on the head. Whether or not the creature let her was another matter.

She then moved over to one of the desks, ignoring Wilfred as he babbled about how no one was smart enough to turn on the lights. It was easy enough in most circumstances to ignore the hat and when she sat she found a piece of paper there to catch her attention as well. It wasn't quite as in-depth as some of the other forms she'd filled out for one class or another, but that was alright by her.

The Parchment
Name: Coralie Bahest
Why I Am Taking This Class: It seemed rather interesting. Besides, as a teenager I have a strong desire to sneak into places I don't belong.

That was honest and interesting enough, wasn't it? She set her pencil down (unfortunately she didn't have a neat snake pen like everyone else seemed to) and peered around the room. She was as Sin moved to draw the curtains. If the professor was really back there she had to say she'd be disappointed. There were a lot of better places to hide than that.

"I wonder if he expects us to find him," she said, slightly in Sin's direction since she was still watching her.

It was dark in this room. Shehk, unknowingly of just what it was that made her feel this large surge of confidence in the dark strode into it without hesitation, seeming to be more comfortable when the lights were mostly-off... though she did look at the cat on the desk, one ear flicking and her tail lifting at the end evveeerr so slightly.

Oh jack, did she want to chase it?? Part of her did, but she made herself sit down in a chair instead, right in the front row, her own eyes illuminating ever so slightly. Certainly they didn't boast the full-on-glow a couple of students had gotten, but they had slight lighting. Then again, it wasn't unusual for a monster to have magic glow-eyes.

..
....

But she wasn't a monster. D'oh!

And then she realized she'd nearly ripped the paper under her hands, lifting it up to read it in the dark. OhhHHh.

She'd just fill that out.

The Parchment
Name: Shehk Strigoi
Why I Am Taking This Class: I clearly did it wrong at some point in life, given my current status of existance. I wish to correct this egregious error in ability on my part.

That seemed like a good answer, she seemed to content herself with, sliding the parchment to the end of her desk and then again looking at the cat. She really really was tempted to chase it. It would have been...pretty damn fantastic, actually.

The cat didn't particularly react to any of the students, though a quick tail flick probably indicated that it had, at the very least, noticed Tybalt's unease. Coralie's attempt at petting was tolerated, but as soon as she left it alone, it moved to one of the back corners of the desk.

After ripping away the curtain, Sin could see...a wardrobe? It was plain, angular and made out of a much lighter wood than the desks, and if it had been just a little bit narrower, it would look like...

Well, to be honest, it really just looked like a coffin.

Lucien was entering the classroom when he swore he heard the wail of a dog being attacked by a sea monster. A little strange, there being no water directly in the classroom but how could he be sure? To his surprise the classroom was a dark room. He just assumed that classrooms were supposed to be well, easy to see? It was really no concern to him though, so long as he didn't walk into a wall. Safely, the spirit made it though the dark room, past the demon cat that didn't seem too pleased about him as he walked by it. Perhaps just indifferent.

He couldn't see anyone he knew, until he caught the glow of a pair of blue eyes he was familiar with. A black dog. He slowly made his way over to Tybalt who was at the back of the room, casually glancing towards a curtain as he picked up a seat next to him.

"Salutations," he said, filling out the parchment as well.

Chuppi shook her head as she watched Sin moving around the room and pulling things here and there, the little chupacabra frowning at all the antics. She knew this girl from several of her classes and, to be honest, wasn't that fond of her simply because of her attitude. It wasn't that Chuppi had to be friends with everyone (because it wasn't) but there was something about demons that rubbed her the wrong way. Arrogance perhaps? Or the fact that this demon had left Chuppi stuck in the floor and later made a smart remark about her stomach and being hungry.

That was more than likely the reason.

"You should probably stop. What if the teacher comes in and finds you messing with his. . . .coffin? Is that a coffin?"

Chuppi could barely see the object from where she sat in her chair and, in spite of herself and attempts at control, she slid down and waddled over to where the other girl was standing. A better look at the object never hurt anyway and if the teacher came she could try to explain she was just curious, right? Didn't most teachers promote curiosity?

"I wonder if he is in there. I have heard some things sleep in coffins."
