Setting:   Gazing out over the balcony of one of the rooms in this temple ,Shinya sat staring over the sun caressed sea. Shinya was balanced on the balcony railing in a total peace. She was relaxed and unworried. She had told her mate Shai that she was going to leave Lunarie for a few. That she had to go do something out this way. Her plan was to head back to Bamboo. She had heard rumors of her mother's return and she was worried about her dad. He wasn't doing good when she left. She bit the inside of her lip becoming upset. Right than she wish she would have just asked Shai to come along but she didn't want to prove she could do this her self not that he had a clue to what was going on yet.

 Shai had watched his mate leave with a sad heart a few days ago. He had let her go, unable to stop her once she had her mind set on something. He hadn't followed, he stayed with his tribe and his sister, loyal until the end. He had been thinking for awhile, a long while. Maybe life wasn't best suited for him in Lunarie? He loved the tribe, yes, but did they love him?
Probably not.
The male was at a turning point in his life, where he questioned life itself and wanted to build his permanent future. Did he want this? This... life? Did he want to be in Lunarie?
He knew he wanted Shinya.
That was all he knew anymore, that he wanted her. Life was confusing, but not her. Never her. He would never doubt her or their love until she did herself. Even so, life still confused him.
The male had taken this night to explore the lands around him, not searching for Shinya and yet feeling lonely. He was near a temple, something he just automatically wandered to. The male didn't look up, nor did he approach it. He was fine with just exploring, for now.

A soft cold breeze drifted from the ocean. Taking all the warmth from Shinya and making her shiver. This cold air current pushed her scent down wind making it twist and turn through different corridors of the elaborate temple.

Shai had barely began to pad off when he smelled a familiar scent. Was he going delusional? Surely being apart from Shinya that long was not making him smell her scent in places she was not? Even if he did love her he wasn't that needy, right? Surely. He would not be that desperate after only a few days.
Then, was she around?
The hunter glanced about, not spotting his vixen but clearly smelling her scent. Damn it all, did he have to go inside that temple? It looked.... disgusting. He hated man made area's, it always smelled like people and was rather ugly in the inside. Humans had no taste. Then again, it seemed an area his mate would like.
Oh how he missed her!
The male sighed, shaking his thoughts aside. Maybe there would be interesting food inside? Raccoons liked to dwell in the oddest area and he had yet to taste raccoon. The male decided to explore the temple with this thought, padding to the entrance and slipping inside. It was only when he accidentally hit his paw against the edge of the doorway did he let out a loud curse he normally would not let out around company:
"s**t! Ow! Stupid door, what the hell did I do to you?! Ow!"

Shinya was in a daze watching the waves crash against the cliff. They seemed to be playing some form of game. The wind was caressing her it was slowly rocking her to sleep. Just as she was drifting off she hear something hit something and someone yell out curses. It had startled her so bad she let out a scream and started to fall of the railing. She scrambled to get back onto the railing her claws scratching away. They made loud clanging sounds. She had her front paws on the side of the railing that there were suppose to be while her hind legs where hanging on the wrong side and scrapping at the cliff face.

Shai heard a noise, pausing his stream of curses and glancing upwards, met with his mates scent once more, this time stronger. Really, he was delusional already? He was disappointed in himself. Though, his lifemate made him proud and he loved her he didn't think he'd go insane so fast.
The sound of nails against rock alerted the alert male, his ears flicking upwards. Something or someone was defiantly upstairs. The quiet male wasn't one to just leave someone if they were in trouble, hurrying up the stairs and stumbling into a room, glancing over at the balcony. Humans really were tasteless.
He saw paws over the edge, familiar paws. The males heart lurched as he moved closer to the figure, tentatively calling out: "If you are a hallucination, I do not appreciate it."

Shinya kept trying to pull her self up but was failing terrible. She was quick and cleaver but she wasn't all that strong. She cursed softly for she knew she shouldn't have gotten up on the railing but just couldn't help her-self. She heard a voice but didn't recognize it for she was panicking about falling the rest of the way off. Calling out in a strained panicked voice "Help me please," she pleaded.

Shai didn't hesitate, moving towards the paws full speed and roughly locating the neck, his teeth digging into fur as he yanked the figure upwards. He managed to roll them safely to the side. His eyes locked on the figure, widening as he recognized the dark fur. It was his beautiful mate, and he had been rough with her! Oh no, had he hurt her?
"Shinya? Are you alright!" He questioned, nudging her gently.

Shinya let out a yelp of surprise as she was suddenly grabbed by her neck and practically thrown back over the right side of the railing.
Her and the other fox hit the ground and tumbled to a stop. She curled up into a ball beside the fox because she had been afraid that everything almost just ended for her. There was no turning back from death and she knew it. Her eyes were shut tight until she felt a nudge and heard the voice of her mate. Her eyes popped open at once. Was it really him?
She laid there gazing up at her love Shai. She nuzzled him while whispering over and over again "Thank you, I love you." She had completely missed his question.

Shai's tail wagged as his mate spoke. She was alive! But why here? Had she left to take a break perhaps? Was he intruding? Most likely. He nodded in response, nuzzling her back. "I love you, too." He responded with before allowing her to continue her cuddling. The male only squirmed away when breathing was becoming a problem, shaking his head at her.
"Why are you here? I know you said you were doing something, but here? Did you need a break from me? I could leave." He mused. He was lucky he had found her, she might had died if he had not.
He glanced about, frowning at her choice of vacation. He loved her, but a humans domain? The male had been kidnapped by humans when he was younger, a story Nuishan would be able to tell if Shinya ever asked, but Shai would not ever mention that night again.

Shinya looked up at him in shock. She pulled back a little. "Why would you think I'm trying to get a break from you?"She asked in disbelief. She looked him over trying to figure things out. "Whats wrong hun? Whats wrong with here?" She kissed him trying to make him feel better. "I do need to do something but its not here. I was traveling all day and night with no rest and food for a bit and figured I should find some shelter cause you wouldn't be happy with me if i made myself sick or something."She said honestly. "This was the first place I found and is big enough that i can hide if i need to from something. But i got distracted by the pretty sunset. Otherwise i would have been on the move again."

Shai nodded, not answering her question. She liked it here, he wasn't going to ruin her time by saying how much he disliked humans. The hunter remembered her saying she hadn't eaten, nuzzling her before flicking his tail. "Love, stay here. I will go and find you some food." He mused, jerking his head to glance over the balcony. What kind of food was there around here?

Shinya reached for him before he could leave catching him. "Can I come with? And are you ok?" she asked standing up and brushing against his side.

He pulled back as he felt her reach out, nuzzling into his mate lovingly. "Yes love, you may come. I am fine." He did not mention his past with humans, deciding to instead nuzzle his mate and direct her attention to finding some food.

"Yay" she squeaked in happiness but she hadn't missed that he wasn't really answering her. Shinya guessed she would have to ask his sister or someone to find out what the real problem was. She rubbed and brushed up against him letting him know that he was very much loved by her. "So where to my love?"She asked with a cute little smile.
