((Note that this is temporary until someone makes a better, official one.))
This is an imposing edifice, made out of a strange stone material that literally crackles with energy. For some unknown reason, this material reduces the effectiveness of normal and elemental chakra, while at the same time enhancing the effectiveness of medical chakra used within its walls. The staff here is trained to deal with ninja battle damage, and is thus superb at handling the effects brought on by ninja combat.

 A few blocks away from the Hospital, Karonashi stopped, realizing that his load was nowhere near as heavy as it should be. He panicked, thinking that the girl had rolled off without him knowing it. The teen shifted his grip and turned around, only to find that the stretcher was floating off of the ground, literally hanging in the air. For a second, he didn't know what was going on, then he saw the signs that the foreigner was exerting herself. He growled.
"Stop that! You just barely survived whatever it was that the other guy did to you, now is not the time to be using jutsu! I can get you there just fine, so stop draining yourself, stop taxing yourself!" He glared, though if she were to look up she would see behind the glare that concern was filling his eyes. Despite his initial unease, the fact was that Karo knew her only a little less than his newfound teammates. That same sense of protectiveness that caused him to mistrust her was now urging him to do all that he could to aid her.
"Seriously, no more of that! Let whatever technique that you're using go, we aren't that far from the hospital now."

Scarlette frowned, ''I.. am fine. All this requires is my concentration... at the moment, I have enough chakra to hold this for.. days...'' But, not enough concentration. As she slowly felt it slipping, she placed herself back in his hold, before releasing the jutsu. ''I'm sorry.. let's carry on..'' She said, switching to a smile.

Karonashi resisted the urge to snort, or to say that he knew that was coming. He settled for another grimace as he turned back around and continued dragging Scarlette to the hospital.
When he got to the doors, he growled at someone who was coming out to hold them open. The young Academy student gulped at the expression on the older male's face and scurried to do just that. Karo pulled Scarlette's stretcher into the building, and blinked as several women appeared out of nowhere and picked the stretcher up carefully.
"Her hands have been bandaged inexpertly. Who did this shoddy job? Karo's face twitched as the leader of the group of nurses criticized it. He kept silent as he looked at Scarlette's face.
"We're here. The doctors will take care of you now. I'll tell them about your back." That caught the attention of the nurse, who strode over to him with an angry gaze. Before she could berate him, he cut her off.
"Her back has severe burns covering the majority. Do everything you can to prevent scarring. Her leg is broken, her hands have through and through stab wounds. I think she has internal damage, something broken. Other than that, her injuries are some minor cuts and bruises to her face, but I've already taken care of those. And for your information, I bandaged her hands with only one of my own." He growled out the words before pulling his bloodstained bandage out and rewrapping his own hand. He stepped around the woman to follow the nurses carrying Scarlette.
"Do you want me to stay with you? Or would you rather I leave?"

Scarlette muttered, ''Stay.. please. And.. I don't recommend leaving.. that b*****d is still running rampant. I couldn't hold him for even an hour, so I doubt the ninja back at the grounds will be able to... let's just hope something.. is done..'' She said, as she was carried into a room, alongside Karo. But her next course of action was a strange one. As her sleeve was lifted, it revealed her hidden blade, that she commonly used for assassinations. As she wanted NOONE to know she had this, she quickly covered her sleeve back up, hoping that Karo did not notice. Hoping for his own sake, even.
((Don't mention the blade to her or she'll probably kill your character loool. If someone knows that she's actually a trained assassin, they wouldn't want to get close to her, as she could murder them at any moment with her hidden blade. Pretend you never saw it.))

Karonashi followed her, his mind processing her words, and what he had seen. The girl was a killer, that he was now certain of. But then, they were shinobi and kunoichi - they were all killers now. He reached out and gripped her arm as the doctors began injecting her with sedatives.
"Everyone has things they must do. You know what yours are, but mine are much more simple. I am a protector, pure and simple. I will stay here." His words were ambiguous - they could mean that he was just staying to protect her, or they could be an indication of what he had seen and the fact that he was still staying.
He let go of her arm slowly and pulled a chair near the bed. Below the edge of teh bed, where she couldn't see it, the teen pulled two grenades out - one, a flash bang, the other a group of iron makibishi tied together with explosive notes. The strange grenade would do more damage, and when combined with the normal one, would let him get her away if someone attacked them here.
"Now, since it seems we'll be here for a while, what should we talk about? To take your mind off of what the doctors are doing." At that moment, they were coming into the room with machines that he didn't recognize but were probably medical in nature.

Scarlette smiled, ''...I... well, seeing as how my vacation is obviously being stripped away from me, tell me a little about your village, and how it's like.. it seems a little friendly, aside from the two murderers running rampant. And maybe, I'll tell you about.. mine..'' She said, flinching, as a small surge of pain shot through her back. However, she kept her smile on, as she knew that it wouldn't end any time soon, and that the pain would be frequent.

Karonashi pondered how to respond to that before chuckling and rubbing the back of his head.
"Now the truth of to why I was trying to have Chessa-san talk to you. I actually just arrived in the village myself, and know little about it. Makai, the only reason I know where the hospital is is because the people at the Academy are all bloody sadists who get off on aggravating other people. They sent me here when I tried finding out where the training fields are." He paused in thought, his mind flashing back to the training field where the girl was.
"And those two aren't from here as far as I can tell. The female was saying that she was here to have fun. Though her idea of fun and mine are probably vastly different." I'm a horny male, she seemed relatively innocent despite the fact that she is apparently friends with a psychopath. He kept that thought to himself. The doctors had finished examining her with their machines and were clucking to themselves. He watched as they injected a heavy dose of painkillers into the IV they were setting up. His eyes tilted to the side as they slid the IV needle into Scar's right arm and began pumping replacement blood, along with the painkillers, into her. Moving quickly, they rolled her onto her side so that they could check out the damage to her back. This had the side effect of rolling Scarlette closer to Karo, who jerked back, having leaned forward as he spoke.

Scarlette chuckled, ''I don't even want to know what your idea of fun is. I, on the other-hand, enjoy seeing sights, and being in a nice environment. Obviously not having fun where I am now, but whatever. Things happen. Plus, in Suna, people probably would have just let me die, rather than take me to a hospital. An indirect way of killing me, which I'm sure many people there want to do..'' She said, with a slight smile on her face, though it was clearly fake. She didn't even BOTHER to try and lie about thinking this was some sort of good thing. ''But, anyways, if you only just came, then where are you from?'' She asked, raising an eyebrow.

There was that fake smile again, the one that grated on his nerves so much. He gritted his teeth, knowing that the girl didn't know him well enough to let her guard down. That accursed smile was probably a part of that guard, and now was not a time to try to get her to let it go. Instead, he focused his attentions on her words, answering her comments as well as her question.
"You likely can guess, though I myself am innocent in that regard. And I've been a little too stressed to fully appreciate sight-seeing." He leaned back and shook his head, his fiery hair drifting across his eyes as he continued. "And again, I don't see why people would dislike you so, my own initial distrust was caused by a heavily suspicious nature, not any actions of your own. And your question is a bit complicated to answer." Karo's head tilted back and he studied the ceiling for a long moment, uncomfortable with telling her his past, yet unsure of how much to withhold. Finally, he spoke.
"I came from a small village in a valley about twenty miles from here. We call it Spark, but most people don't know it even exists, so on the maps it isn't there." He had answered her question without revealing too much of his past, indeed, he wasn't sure if she would be able to discern anything from what he had said.
The doctors had serious expressions on their faces. They began sending assistants for various ingredients from their stockpiles, while one left the room to get something himself.
