No... Don't tell them how you feel in your heart. Telling people how you feel in your heart if it comes out too strongly because it is more of an obsession than it is a little crush will surely scare them away (and possibly make them have to change their pants). You might do better if you just drop little hints to let them know that you may or may not like them.

I told one of my friends I liked her. We are still friends, I think its better that way.

My pessimist who lost his fiancee for the last time and had to watch her walk away as his heart quickly disappeared says not to tell the person that you like them because it is so much better to never have to watch them walk away, but the optimist that is barely still holding on still says that you should just hint at it and if they pick up on it then they are actually paying some real attention to you in that way... If they don't pick up on it, then they aren't really viewing you from that perspective (not to say that they will never see you in that way).
