Today was a day meant for excitement. Eilender was barely able to keep pace as the length of his daughter cut through the air like an arrow driven by purpose. "Hurry, Papa!" she cried into the wind, striking the air with her wings and throwing her tresses back into the tendrils of the breeze. The asphalt pounded beneath the man's feet as he was beckoned on, unable to catch the girl until she stopped, hovering before the facility's entrance. Grateful, he slowed, trying to catch his breath. "Sweetie, she's not going anywhere. Calm down." but it seemed she was unable. The siren child gently took hold of her father's hand and pulled him inside, soaring over to the front desk and taking perch, beaming at the woman behind it. "Hello! I am Sasha. I am here to meet Momma, yes? I vant to see her!"

Apoxi blinked at the very eager little girl staring down at her. Oh dear, she was back and wanted to see Hvyette so young? Nami's eagerness showed in the tot's features and behaviors, and it would be rather sad to see her not get along with the siren, but best to give it a go first, right?
"Well, all right, if you really want. But Hvyette doesn't get along well with strange kids, I warn you." the woman said, standing to lead her towards the destination.

The girl didn't seem one to readily heed the warning. Instead, she flew marginally ahead of the adults, curiously gliding around each door until the woman finally pointed out the correct door. As subtle as a train wreck on a boat, the girl let herself in and promptly raced over to the nearest tank, a grin spread across her features. "Momma!"

A green and pink haired head popped out of the ocean water in the pool before her, an almost hopeful look on her face before a pout crossed it. "Oh, no honey, your Momma's in the one over there." Cerrein told Sasha, pointing to the other half of the room with the darker, fresh water and all the thick black rocks. A lean and pale creature was stretched out upon them, her dark hair falling over her face mostly as she relaxed.
Apoxi sighed, shaking her head. This was probably going to end awfully.

The girl's face fell for a moment before her parent was pointed out. Without bothering to explain or apologize to the mermaid, the girl hurried over to the fresh water tank and marveled at her mother. "Momma," she whispered, smile growing wide as she leaned in closer and wiggled her tiny dragon claws excitedly.
Having anticipated this for a while, she couldn't help but want to rush up and give her mother a huge hug. Her fingertips traced the water's surface, gauging the cool depth to see if she dared leap in with her parent.

The water wasn't severely shallow, but it wasn't a bottomless depth the tot could sink in either. The siren herself wasn't even really all the way in the water, the large rock she was resting on just around the far edge. Really, it'd be perfectly easy to walk around and go see her from the front, but the shorter route was through the water. It was cold and dark, but presently not too stormy. After all, Hvyette was in a decent mood...for now.

The shorter route was preferable for the young girl. Climbing over the rocks and slipped into the water. The cold caused a shudder to run through her small body before the blood shared betwixt the parent and child began circulating the warmth that protected her. The water soon became comfortable and she moved through it easily, serpentine body whipping back and forth akin to a snake's motion as she rapidly closed in on her mother.
"Momma!" she chirruped louder this time, gently reaching out to touch the Siren. She didn't grab hold of her by any means, but the tiny fingertips did gently brush that pretty tail with an air of awe about them.

The siren was jolted out of her sleep by a strange touch to her tail. Immediately she lashed out, slapping the tot away from her with the end of her tail and sitting up rapidly. Her face bore a disgusted look as she stared, wild eyed, down at the child. "Do not touch me!"

The girl was stunned by the sudden force of the blow. Granted, she wasn't physically hurt but very much startled out of her excited reverence. The only thing she understood was that she must have done something bad, and that was why her mom was angry. Coiling into herself, she hid behind her wings, peering out at the siren with wide eyes. "I-I-yam, sorry, Momma. I didn't know...Please do not be angry...I-yam Sasha."

The creature calmed down a tad but crossed her arms over her chest firmly. "Do not calm me "mohmma." Eet ees not my name ohr my title. You vill call me Eevyeht." her eyes were cold, sharp and small when she wasn't frightened, peering down at the girl as if judging every inch of her. "Vhat ARE those mohnstrowhseetees on your bahk?"

"Y-yes Mo-..Eevyeht...and zey are my vings...I have alvays had zem." The large, feathered wings stretched out slow and wide to reveal the serpentine length all bundled up behind them. That also stretched out, tiny dragon feets clawing the air as she balanced herself back out to normal. The girl very carefully moved closer again, fluttering the wings a bit as she peered up at her mother. "Y-You are very preety, a-and Poppa tells me zat Sirens can sing so preety they are MAGIC. When I get beeger, I h-hope I sing preety like you M-Eevyeht..."

Hyvette rolled her eyes in distaste. "Zey look like a boordohn. Anyvay, yez, I zeeng. But you may not haff zat powahr. You may haff zomzhing frohm your othar pahrent." her tone was a drawl, as she wasn't keen on this child or how freaky she looked. The siren hadn't liked being coerced into joining this program by Kayen and she wasn't keen on all these freaks of children she was receiving. As she'd understood, they would be proper sirens, not toothy monstrosities with too many legs!

The tone didn't catch on with the child, and she continued on as though not understanding the dislike she was receiving. Rather, she persisted with her careful admiration. "I vant to sing like you...I have been practizing! But, I-yam good at flying. I do not know vhy, zo, I sweem better!"

Hvyette's eye twitched a bit. "I do not haff time for thees. Come back ven you are older. Zen you may zeeng vith me. Teel zen, you do not haff my powa and are joost an annoyeeng small child." there was a hardness to her voice that alerted everyone that she was going to get very very angry if the tot persisted in bothering her.
Apoxi was on the other end of the room at this point and wasn't exactly able to reach Sasha very fast to get her out of the area before she did something dumb. Luckily for her, Cerrein was MUCH faster of a swimmer than anyone with Hvyette's blood. She dived in one quick motion from the salt to the fresh, trying to hide the shudder of discomfort as she zoomed over to wrap her arms around the dragon-fish and spirit her back to the other end of the pool.
"Now sweetie, please don't go upsetting your-" Cerrein turned away to cough a bit at that, the fresh water upsetting her body and her tail a lot, "- your momma sweetie. She's not very friendly with little ones. She'll be more comfortable maybe when you're older sweetiepie." she pet the girl's hair weakly as she spoke before carefully covering Sasha's mouth and nose as she dived from one pool to the other, attempting to hold the girl so she wouldn't drown or be sick in the water.
Carefully, the mermaid set her companion on the edge. "Why don't you see if you can meet your other parent instead, hm?"

Pain and confusion swept over her. Why was her mother so angry? There was no chance to ask. She was swept away by something stronger than she ever hoped to be and found herself in completely different surrounding. Wildly, she struggled for a few seconds of panic, but calmed down only once she realized it was the mermaid from before. Ceasing her resistance she allowed herself to be handled, curling up against the woman before she was set on the edge. Thankfully, she was not as badly upset by saltwater as the mermaid was by the fresh. Her first reaction though was a visible fear for the matter.
"Are joo alright?!" she whimpered at the mermaid, gently reaching out to grab her hand and hold it tight. "I-yam so sorry..I did not mean for zis to happen...Your tail..."
