ArmasTermin I'm not really into the idea of a 1911 in 9mm, but cool for you if you like it. does sound a little awkward. if it's double stack I can see it being similar to an M9 in a way... if it's single stack then I just see wasted potential.

More like a Hi-Power, guy. They're already extremely similar as is. Just like the conversion kits and dedicated .22 1911s (such as Chiappa's)it's cheaper practice, or a preferred caliber in a loved platform.
