Miramili walked out of the city. She needed a break from the fast pace and decided to take a walk away. Her purple tail swished as she walked past the bustling of the people. She felt she belonged there, but at times everyone needs to go out to the forest or country to find themselves again. This was her time.
Her eyes took in the forest in the early morning sun. She smiled and started trotting towards the trees.

NiGHTS didn't look like it, but he was a very patient fox. He'd been up in a tree for hours waiting for someone to fall into the little pit-trap that he had set up. It wasn't deep enough to actually hurt anyone, and the sides were sloped so that it wasn't a straigh fall, but it was perfectly camoflauged. He was entering his third hour when he caught sight of a white, purple, and green vixen making her way towards his pit-trap.
NiGHTS had to put a paw over his nose to stop his giggling. Patient he may be, but he also tended to laugh before his pranks can be followed through. He watched the vixen over the top of his paw.

Miramili continued at her trot. Her front paw landed on the covered pit trap. Unable to stop, Mira rolled down the trap. She muttered some unfriendly things that she learned in the city and looked around the trap. There was nothing dangerous so this wasn't something to harm an animal. She glanced up and around from her spot.
The multicolored vixen scooted back as far as she could and ran up the little slope, digging her paws in the dirt as she climbed out. She glanced around when she was out, looking for any sign of who or what made that trap.

NiGHTS couldn't hold it in any longer and laughed rather loudly, pounding his front paw into the branch. He was barely able to keep his seat on the branch he was in. She'd walked right into it. She also didn't seem to be hurt at all; which was a good thing as the trap wasn't meant for harm.
"Good morning." He chirped at the vixen in good humor, feeling rather safe in his tree. NiGHTS wasn't worried about the greeting calling attention to himself, after all, he had laughed loudly enough that she had to notice him. "Watch that first step, it's a doozy." He warned cheerfully, his tail wagging in pleased accomplishment.

Miramili spun around at the laughter. "Are you the one to set that up?" She asked the fox in the tree. He seemed to have enjoyed the trap very much. She couldn't help but smile since she should have known something was different.

He rose from his supine position and sat up, one paw held slightly off the tree branch. The look on his face was one of surprised innocence as he blinked down at the fox. "Who, me? Set that up for some innocent fox to accidentally fall into it?" NiGHTS smiled a slow, mischievous smile. "Why, yes, yes I did." He laughed again, tail waving in delight.
"And you, oh innocent fox that just happened to walk by. What are you doing wandering about all by yourself? You came out of that city-den the humans live in, I saw you. Are you a pet?" He asked.

Mira grinned up at him. He was lucky she didn't get hurt. Her tail swished and she laughed at being called innocent. "I was not expecting a trap, set by one of our own." As she looked back at the hole, "It must have taken you some time to dig that."
The vixen sat next to the tree and craned her neck up to look the mulitcolored fox. She was surprised she hadn't seen him upon entering the forest, the pink and purple of his fur should have stood out. "Pet? No..no. I need some fresh air. What about you, prankster? Why are you up in the tree still?"

NiGHTS smirked. He knew very few foxes that would go out of their way to set up traps and patient enough to wait to see if someone set it off. Some were willing to help him, but no one was as into pranks as he was. "It didn't take me too long. A few hours I think." He shrugged. Nothing was too long for a prank.
"Not a pet? Then why do you live in there?" He asked, gesturing to the city. "And I'm in the tree because I've run into a few foxes that were not...amused by my pranks. Better safe than sorry." He said in a bit of a sing-song.

She grinned again. "A tribe is here in the city. It is amazing at the food the two legs leave around for you to eat." She looked back at the pit and thought about it some. "I can see some being truly upset with you, but what about the ones that can fly up there?"

There was an entire tribe in the city? Hmm.... NiGHTS looked back at the wall surrounding the city and wondered if they had stuff lying around that would be good for tricks on other foxes. And the humans too....
Turning his attentions back to the female, he grinned at her. "The winged ones aren't teleporters. They still have to kick off and flap their pretty little wings. It's fairly obvious that they're going to fly if you know what to look for. I have perfected the art of disappearing before they get off the ground." NiGHTS shrugged, "not always successful, but nine out of ten is pretty good odds."

A chuckle escaped her, "Disappearing by falling out of your tree?" Her voice had a hint of teasing, but would be hard to tell for those who didn't know her. He wouldn't be able to hide like that in the city, but there would be a lot of other areas. If he made his way through, without one of the humans mistaking him for something else.
"Are you going to sit up there the whole time we talk? This is putting a kink in my neck." Standing up to stretch out, she felt areas pop with some movement.

NiGHTS shot the female a sour look. "No...not by falling out of the tree." He replied. Inside he was grinning though. Most foxes tried to get at him after falling into one of his pranks. It was rare to meet a fox that actually had a sense of humor. True, there were some who would trip his traps then want to help with another...but again, very rare.
"I suppose I could come down." He replied, dropping out of the tree with studied grace. He padded over to the female and sat, wrapping his multicolored tail around his paws. "Tell me more about this city."

Mira watched as he moved easily down the tree and was surprised. She twisted her neck to get the kinks that formed in the short time of talking. "The city is wonderful. Food you don't have to chase, though some of it is rather burning on the tongue." The memories of eating that meaty sustenance right off the metal thing still made her tongue feel burned.
The vixen smiled, "There is so much to do around there. Dodging the moving things or even chasing them when they get to close to the tribe. I am sure you could pull off a few tricks there, maybe." A smirk on her lips, the mostly white vixen said.

NiGHTS listened to her description of the city and smiled. It sounded like his kind of place. Food to be had without chasing it...though that did mean his elaborate traps would go to waste. Still, she was right; he could pull off many, many tricks in a place such as this city. Perhaps she could be persuaded to show him around.
"Well, my innocent victim, may I have the pleasure of your name?" NiGHTS asked, twisting his tone to make the sophisticated question sound like light teasing. He didn't take anything seriously, especially himself, and he enjoyed the looks he sometimes got from other foxes.

Mira snapped her head at the innocent remark. She was not so innocent, just caught unawares by the trap. She didn't think another fox would be out this close to the city and yeah.. She learned her lesson for the next time she came out here.
"Miramili. And yours would be, my colorful jokester?"
