This is the beginning of a chapter from one of my stories Apps. Cassandra Bell has been able to see ghosts and gets in trouble because of it. Thus her story. I really want you people to guess why I call it Apps! Reviews? Suggestions? Go ahead! It still needs a lot of work.

She sat up feeling dizzy and trying to absorb what happened after she knocked her brain loose. Lets see... Cassandra thought. I was running, I tripped on the stairs, I fell, then...
"Oh!" She said remembering.
There on the landing, sprawled next to her was a boy, no older than 11, jumping up.
"That was a great fall!" He exclaimed kneeling next to her. "You're lucky I was there!"
She studied his smile for a moment, trying to figure out if he was joking. As she was about to say thanks and ask what an eleven year old boy was doing in a girl school when she noticed that this wasn't any normal boy.
His skin was white as paper and almost transparent to where she could see faint veins laced under his skin. Set into his pale skin were large garnet eyes that stood out from his face like beads of blood on parchment.
"You're an App!" Cassandra shouted, jumping up and sending her head into a tailspin.
"I'm a what?" He giggled, standing up.
"You're a ghost!" She rephrased.
"Yeah! Wow you can see me! That’s great!" The App floated up to her face and took a deep breath of her hair. "Wow you smell nice! It almost makes me feel alive.”
"What?" Cassandra asked, unable to catch up with this fast talking ghost. Most Apps she ran into were depressing creatures that were always asking her for favors. She glared at him, wondering what this spirit wanted from her.
"My girlfriend!" He said, completely sincere and innocent. "I hear guys talking about them all the time! And since you can see me and we met like this it must be fate! You have pretty eyes too! Do you want a ring?"
Cassandra ignored the Apps ramblings and instead brushed imaginary dirt off her uniform before turning to leave.
"Wait a minute!" The boy said, speeding in her way. Cassandra pretended she didn't see anything and tried to walk through him. To her surprise she walked right into him, as solid as any living thing.
"How did you do that?" She asked in shock.
"Do what?" The boy grinned tilting his head the way a dog might when confused. Cassandra noted that his teeth were extremely white.
"Block me! You're dead! You can't... touch me or anything and I can't touch you! That’s the way all Apps work!" She exclaimed, wanting to poke him to verify what she was saying. Unfortunately, he beat her to it.
"I can't touch you?" He said, frowning for the first time. Abruptly, he floated right up to her and clapped both his hands on either side of her face. “I can touch you silly!” He exclaimed happily.
The impact made Cassandra jump but she found herself more shocked by his frigid cold hands. The touch sent chills down her back and she felt her cheeks go numb. The cold abruptly traveled into her head giving Cassandra the feeling of a brain freeze. Frantically, she slapped away his hands and rubbed her temples to get rid of the pain.
"Aww... I've been rejected?" He said dejectedly.
Cassandra found him impossible to ignore at this point. "You don't just go around touching people!" She huffed and turned to stomp away.
Suddenly she flinched at as a sharp pain lanced through her hand. She looked at her hand in confusion and was surprised to find a black mark on her palm. It was a formless splotch as though someone had carelessly slapped a calligraphy brush onto her skin.
"Why did you stop?" The App asked, from behind perking up. "Are you reconsidering?"
Ignoring him, she tried rubbing the mark out with her sleeve but nothing came off. Confused, she rubbed her palm raw but still it didn't even smear.
"What is this!?" Cassandra exclaimed, panicked.
"What's what?" The little boy asked, hovering over her shoulder. His eyes went wide, and before Cassandra could register it he shot out an arm and snatched up her hand and yanked it over her shoulder, spinning her around. His short icy fingers holding her hand carefully as he looked at her hand curiously. For once Cassandra saw a serious expression flicker across his face but it was quickly replaced by a boyish grin.
"Oh! A curse mark!" He exclaimed. "Well, I think!"
"Curse mark?" She spluttered. “Liar! You’re just trying to scare me! Did you do this?”
He frowned, looking insulted, and then broke into a smile. “Not that it matters. You're going to die in two weeks! Isn’t that great?" He announced, as if he told her she would win the lottery soon.
Cassandra could only gape at him.
"By the way my name is Siva! Nice to meet you." The App grinned, flashing pointed teeth.
