As the ending rays of sunlight began to fade and the cool breeze of night blew against her face, a young lioness was just awaken. She was quite content in the position she was in, on her back with her feet up in the air. She looked like a lazy lioness.
The dark pelt lioness rolled onto her belly and let out a big yawn. She blew the hair tuff from her eyes and slowly rose to her feet. She was hungry, she looked at her last meal and saw that she still had some decent parts of the carcass, but not enough to satisfy her. She decided that she might as well go get a new kill.
She wasn't very social, so she would pretty much loaf around her den or hunt, occasionally she would go wonder around, but she never wanted to stray far from the den. Its the only place she knew as home. She was alone for as long as she could remember. As the morning sun fell across the horizon and the young lioness' hunger grew stronger she set out in search of a new pray...

The girls had planned their days and they went off to bond with the new cub they had taken in. Of course. They were all females and Tsu had very little experience with it all. He watched as they went on about they're time til they left his sight. They would probably be back in a day or two. That gave him time to surf.
Once he saw them- the joy came to his face as he darted in without even warning to the ocean. The ocean- in turn received him with open arms. Bashing right in to the waves- thrashing his head right under and felt the time empty as he went under.. The world under was surreal.. and felt almost unnatural. From where he was.. this was a rarity. Ever since he started to travel the lands. As a land pirate of sorts. If you could even call it that.
The sun had filled the lands.. and the whirling winds caught his wet fur when his head blasted out of the water. It looked as though aqua arms were outstretching from the gravity but fell like a silhouette around him. Waving his head about. It was probably now touching dark and he saw the sun go down in to the water. It was a beautiful sight.
In range though- he was about a few yards from her den. His smell masked with the sun dried smelling fish that he had caught in the rivers far from here. When he did remember his back was filled with a net of fish he retorted back in to the sands and when pulling out. He felt fins bashing against his sides- a laugh echoed out from him as he went ashore and looked to see even more fish caught in his net and some were still alive. Of course. With a fish eating lion.. he was surprised.. and with the added wait from the drenched fur and fish.. he decided to take refuge.
Looking 'bout. His tail waving as his body shook and let the trails of the ocean seep in to his body while other trails left.. trotting now. His head up.. as he saw a small den.. not to far and in to the trees where the sand met grass.. A pretty arched sorta looking den. He smiled.. Usually all the ones we went in were empty or with crabs and shells.. As he trotted along closer.. he smelt the distinct smell of a lioness.. He looked around. From one eye. He did not see any. Abandoned? But the smell was fresh. "Hm." Standing there looking down in to the den when he got near. His tail waving slightly.. Sniffing. Slightly going in and sniffing around a bit. To of course see if its someone he knew which obviously it probably wasn't but his curiosity urked him.
Seeing a bone-y carcass and made an almost disgusting face.. "Ehh..." Looking around the sands for any other clues. Now his butt was sticking out of the den- for his was just SLIGHTLY too big to fit in. Fish still bashing against his sides.

Nyota was not the strongest hunter. She normally fed off the scraps left from other hunts. But it’s been awhile since that happened and the growing hunger was nawing at her and her only resort was to hunt or she knew she was going to starve to death. As Nyota wondered the lands in search of food she found nothing. No sounds but the crashing waves in the distant, nothing but the crickets, no smells. She began to head home to feed on the pitiful scrapes that were left of the carcass.
Nyota knew that the scrapes were pitiful, but that all she had at least till she found new prey. Her stomachs constant grumbling grew louder and louder. She had no energy to run, she barely had energy to stand, but scraps are better than nothing and they could at least get here through another day or two. As she came closer to her den she smelt something... odd...
She sniffed the air, it wasn't food she could tell that much. Concern and suspension pulsed through her and she rush home with a much quicker pace only to find a big butt staring at her. "Wha...wha... who..." her tone was filled with anger and she felt intrusion. "Get out!" Her words came out like venom as she snarled at the intruder; she did not like someone in her home, that was HER home and no one else’s! She waited to face the intruder, she would fight for it weak or not, she wasn’t going down without a fight.

His big butt all up in the air as he sniffed around until his ears heard the growling and he lifted his head only to slam it on the top of the tiny place and slightly sneered in. "Ow~ What?" He turned. Rubbing his head with one paw to look. He didn't see anything.. But when he fully turned around- then looked down at the noise of growling.
He tried a nervous smile before slowly side-stepping.
"Oh- so I guess this is yours?" Side stepping more than with a very nervous smile. "Didn't mean to intrude.. err.. I'm very sorry. Curiosity has seemed to kill me. " A soft chuckle.. and offering a very soft smile now.. after slowly moving out of the way to the girl's home then flopped on the ground. From noticing the big heep of scraps.. it didn't look as though she eaten just because of the strain of her face and look like she didn't come back with food. "Ah.. yo' hungry?" He offered. "I can catch somethin' if ya like?" Offering since he did intrude.
"Sorry bout' dat ma'm. Truly I am~!" Trying to seem like the big teddy bear that he was.

Nyota growled as the lion backed out of her den. Not taking her eyes off him. Why is he in my home! Its my home! She thought angrly.She didn't like intruders in her home, that was only thing she had left of...
Well... it didnt matter now... She shook off the thoughts and continued with the lion.
"Yes this is mine," She snarled through her teeth. She didn't laugh at his joke but she he simply noddeddid calm down as he moved away. She slowly made her way to her sniffing for anything missing and for other intruders.
At the mention of food her ears perked up, she felt her stomach let out a soft grumble. She simply nooded her head at the lions offer. She was hungry and she was in no position to refuse. She was starving. But what did he mean by Catch?

He lowered his head as though he were a cub being scolded by his mother. Though, he usually didn't encounter such hostile company. She was right though... he was intruding. Even more she still growled and he backed a few more enough and still kept his chest facing her but of course not his eyes like any fighter would. Nope. He was some young fool whom was still interested in life.. and full of hope. He didn't let it go..
"Truly sorry~ m'am. Apology food~" His ears prepped up when she nodded and he heard that tummy growling. He could remember when he met the pastel lioness that often traveled with him.. She also was rather hungry and they joked about it time after time. How happy she looked when food was involved, always embarrassed about it though. "Then stay here- ~?" Supposing so since it was her home, he turned and trotted away in the sand. His paws edging towards the bay where the water softly making its way in to his digits.
His tail padding as he looked out in to. A pirate of sorts. When the wave crashed.. he darted in and went under almost in a blur as it happened. His tail being the last to take heed in to the large mass of water.. The feeling of water felt so good to his body.. his fur waving around around.. He knew he was to be blind in the water..he touched the ground..and pushed his way deeper.. until he needed air of course. He could stay in the water for long periods of time but the first thrush in he had to breath and he pushed against the gravity in the water.. lifting his body as if he was flying through the air.. his head crashing out of the water and the feeling of being reborn felt so ...fresh.
Waving his head and gasping in the air.. letting the water take him- it wasn't completely calm but a wave or two would flow in succession. It wouldn't be easy to find fish that are willing to stand this but the net on his back was easily accessible and able to work without him even doing anything except swimming. That was the beauty of ingenuity.
He flowed in the water and looked back at the female that he was doing this for. "I'm sorry~!" He called out- with a large grinning smile before going back in to the water as if something pulled him in.

Nyota sat as she watched the lion run off into the water. What on earth his he doing? Nyota watched as he jumped into the waves. She would never understand how someone could just throw themself into the waves like that. Nature was a powerful destructible force, and she knew not to mess with it; but this... this foolish lion seems like he has no worrys in the world. Why couldn't nyota feel so free, instead she felt emptiness...
She couldn't help but fell nervous though, whenever he went into the water she couldn't help but worry. She was agitated, she waited until his head popped out of the water before she took a breathe of relief. Oh great, one of those recklass fools. She shook her head.Even if he did intrude in her home, she would still worry, there was a part in her that cared... Although she would never show it. She needed to remain strong, and stoic. She can't show fear thats how you become the prey....
As she heard the calls of the distant lion it pulled her out of her thoughts. She looked to see the lion looking back at her. She couldn't help but smerk at the lion as he dove into the wave. She knew he was either crazy or foolish, more then likey... both...

After a while of swimming and playing with the fish.. he really took a turn and when he came up to the surface his maw was FILLED with tail fwapping fish. It was funny and normally he wouldn't doggy paddle up to short but he did with his head out and intaking breath from his snout. With a maw full.. he trotted up to land. Rolling on the last wave before touching sand and looked at the girl with soft gleeful eyes.
He was a looker but old enough to be her father. Taking a few strides to her before slowing down and going up in to the hill of grass. Throwing the fish there. He smiled and side stepped to look at her. They were still alive and flapping. "I got yea something ~ come here. This is for my apologies." Sitting down and taking each one and 'scratching' the scales off then cutting their heads to stop them from flapping around any longer. "Here." Pushing some and went to work on the others. "Come - come- or they might fwap away~!"
She watched as he crashed in the waves. Fish? Shes never had fish. This might be interesting. She knew they were slimy but it wasnt real meat. She would much rather have a hare or serval.
But today wasn't the day for Nyota to be picky, she was starving. Nyota saw the male lion approach with the fish in his mouth. When he called out to her, Nyota walked to the male lion catiously. She was hungry but this man invaded on her home and that was not to be taken lightly. She got to the male and sniffed at the fish. Her eyes continuesly watching him. She snached up the fish into her mouth. She had not reason to seeing how he had given it to her. She backed away quickly for a few feet before laying down and sniffing at the mysterious new piece of food. See was skeptical of him. That was obvious but could he be trusted?

He padded his tail- looking over at her. Finding her quite odd as she rushed back and started in sniff at the food. "Many lions don't know.. how good it is to eat fish." Nodding. "Its good for you.. " His voice bcame soft and he looked over to her. That golden eye of his.. and a bandanna over the other. With a scar over it. ".. Heh. I said I was sorry." He huffed.
Then scratched off the rest of the scales with a slowness.. As if he was a cook and looking at the fish endearingly. To take his time with such a feat. "You know... you seem to be alone here." He looked at her with a softness. Like a father, his ears went down and looked at her- then back at the scratching he was doing. Then he looked up but not at her this time he faced the ocean.... "Your place is beautiful..I miss living by the ocean."

Nyota looked up at the male, he seemed genuine in his words. She licked the fished before taking small bites. She was well.... surpised to say the least. It as rather apetizing but it was still no real mean. It was nough to satisfy her though. She continued eating the fish. Wheen he started talking she looked up. "Maybe i am alone...." Her tone was strong but the melancholy in her voice was obvious. She ate her fish in small bites. "If you miss it so much why not just live here, in your own den" Her tone a a bit more snarky and mocking.
"Perhaps if you didn't invade on others home they would let you stay with them." Nyota was making a visably clear comparrison to herself and the current situation they were in.
His eyes looked to her and it was plainly seen that it would have been his goal to again live in such a place. "If you are alone- why not find out others?" He finished with the last fish before taking one for himself after passing the rest to her. "If I could- I would. But something calls out to me.. and yanks me far from here. Like. A calling." Eating and taking savoring bites.
"I do not usually invade others- But I hadn't smelt a pride near by and wondered if your den was deserted." Looking to her finally. "I don't make it a habit. I do however make a habbit of seeing if any dens are deserted around before calling the girls to sleep in it." Slowly his body went down to better comfort his body. His tail pacing the ground beneath him. He was a big guy- really big. A bit bigger than an average male lion in his prime and he did have the muscles to boot. "I didn't mean harm~ now." He calmed almost so much that he seemed dull in expression. "My name is Tsukurou, the girls have taken to calling me Tsu~ what is yours?"
"Perhaps i am better off alone..." She had already lost so much in her life, she just didnt want to put herself through anymore pain. She continued to eat the fish he gave her. He was starting to seem okay with her, even if he did invade on her den. He apoligized and brought her food. She guessed it was a good enough apolige.
"Maybe you should just take a vacation, have some fun in the sun." Nyota began toloosen up more. She didnt feel so threatened anymore. Maybe he wasnt so bad after all.
Nyota looked at the lion, Tsu what an odd name.With a sigh she thought weakly, I guess since he told me his name i could tell him mine.... Nyota took a deep breath, "I am Nyota, just Nyota, nothing special." She finished eating her remaining fish. But wait did he just say girls? As in more then one? Hopefully they were as seemingly unharmless as Tsu appeared or there could be some trouble.
"Wheres are the girls?" She asked a little crudely.
After her had seen her- he just watched to the ocean.. feeling the breeze that it gave off and it flowing in to his mane as though caressing it gently. Then lowered his head for the more savoring the taste. "The girls?" He questioned..
"My girls. Israfel and Roho Sila.. They travel with me. But... just some says ago I told them to go off with their friends that had met on the way here. So today we all get some time to ourselves with friends. I just happened to find you. But this was my 'break' from our journey."
His eyes slitted and after eating the last lick of the meat of the fish he took in what she said.. "Nyota- meanings stars.. Its a very beautiful name." Looking to her- that golden eye. "They are my everything.. but like any path.. it will come to an end- but Roho isn't one to say so." SHaking his head.
"No journey ever has to end, it never really does." Nyota stood up and walked over to Tsu. "Life is always a journey." She smiled but it soon faded and Nyota bowed her head in sorrow.
"I'm sorry for making your break so unbearable."She was telling th trut, Nyota was never a mean person just a little protectiv of her home... it was the only thing she had to hold on to the memories of her past...
Nyota was surpised he knew what her name ment, it was kind of nice, he knew alot she could tell, he was old.Well to her he was old, but with age come isdom, thats how she felt and it was usually true.
"I hope you and your girls find what your looking for." Nyota looked up at the sky, it was begginning to get late. "I should go.... " Nyota stood and began to walk back to her den, She was sad and she didn't wantto start getting close to anyone again, she had to go. She didnt need anyone to be her friend because in the end they were just going to leave her.
Nyota reached her den and layed down looking at the lion from afar. Her eyes were full of sadness... she remembered all the things that left.... everyone she loved.... Her mother, Zu, Gin...... She always gave her self away only to be left heartbroken. It was better that she be left alone..... Wasnt it?
When she walked towards him, he didn't stiffen for flinch. He just let it be to be. He let her speak- and even if he felt that this meeting wasn't unbearable.. it was something to look back on indeed. Watching her came with the job. She was right. "But with every ending- a new journey comes anew." He commented later as per her standing.
He too had to stand and nod.. but what she said- maybe made something in his head tink. "Nyota." He spoke up after seeing he rshift to leave. "Why. Why don't you come with me. No strings.. Just to travel. See the world." Taking a step towards her and then standing. Strong and confident in what he said. "I feel as though.. something is tell me.. tell you this. I will not lead you to danger.. and you can come and go as you please." His eye in seriousness..
Nyota paused at his offer.... could she really lt herself be let into something that could hurt her. Making friend was not her strong point, but maybe he had something. It would be nice to see the world.... She's only ever know the wall of her den and the prey that came by.
She trusted his words.... "Maybe.....Maybe i will go...only for a day or two...." She slowly made her way back to him. Like he said she can come and go as she pleases...if she didnt like it she can always go back. Besides it was better then being alone again.
When she turned around. Like when Israfel accepted to travel with them. His heart jumped but not in the romantic way one would think. More in a way of excitement. Another to join their group and he would try to help her..
The help that some others wouldn't understand. No strings.. Just kindness. "Alright." Nodding. "I won't ask for any more nor any less. Nyota." He gave her a step closer before smiling. "Shall we go then? I bet they are back at the forest den.." A softness. "Oh and.... " Looking back at her. "You have not made my break unbearable. What was unbearable was the intrudsion- and trying to get you to forgive me. I don't like to let anyone down."
Nyota smiled as they walked side by side back to the forest den, She was happy she wasn't alone.
