There is an uninhabited star system within the Empire that is on the verge of reaching it's final stages. The star is slowly destabilizing, and will expand to a red giant within a few millenniums. Orbiting it are a few gas planets and one dwarf planet simply called the "Dead Rock." It is covered in ruins of some ancient civilization long gone.
Fay has traveled here with a small guard of automatons. A well played story got Remus thinking she was on a school field trip. The Imperator's daughter has been drawn here by some unseen force.

The invisible hand continued to beckon to her. Fay stepped out of her shuttle along with five Techno Legionaries. The planet around her was dead. The only life was lichen and few small arthropods. Most species would have needed a suit or a breather mask. Fay however, did not require such an apparatus.
"What a lovely planet this is." Fay said to herself, looking at an alien statue that was covered in moss.

Back on the Estate, in the distant future in which these girls walked (for in the current timeline the author would like to remind the readers that Emma is still pregnant), the half-elven took a breath, spreading herself out on the bed and going still. One hand was clenched around a gently glowing crystal sphere (a booster for her powers, a gift from her mother on her tenth birthday). This would be her first time trying this, now that her parents were out of the range of sense.
She took a deep breath, closed her eyes, and cast her spirit forth, following Fay across the stars to stand by her side in astral form. Meanwhile, her breathing grew deep and steady, her skin pale, and her limbs limp and relaxed against the sheets, a body no longer housing a soul, but only thinly linked to it.

Fay proceeded to walk into the ruins. They were thousands of years old and it was amazing that they still stood as tall as they did. Most structures would have slowly fallen apart and been buried. Fay continued on, her loyal automatons still following close behind. She thought she could hear whispers from the windows and statues, but she waved it off as paranoia.

Nothing more than a shadow of a breath, the half-elven followed Phaedra closely, invisible to the hybrid's web of sensors, causing the tiniest bit of interference with her automaton guards.

The Imperator's daughter soon found herself at the base of a large structure resembling an Aztec pyramid. At the base was a large heavy door. When Fay approached, it slid open with an ominous rumble. The girl felt her spine tingle, but kept moving forward anyway.
When she walked in a few feet, there were the sounds of crashing metal. Fay gasped with fright and turned around. All of the legionaries had simply shut down and collapsed.

The older girl stifled a gasp, knowing that Fay would be able to hear her even in her astral form. There was something very wrong here, but she would not leave before she knew what.

The door shut soon after. The long corridor was illuminated and Fay realized in horror that she was standing in a mausoleum. Skeletons of some unknown species lay stacked in crevices carved out of the walls on either side. Some of the multi-eyed skulls seemed to be staring at her.
"Fear not, hybrid. They cannot harm you. Just keep walking." an echoing voice said from down the corridor.

The half-elven kept walking, keeping pace with Fay while formulating at least four defensive spells that would come in handy. She wished she had figured out a way to bring a rapier along astrally.

Fay kept moving forward, despite being terrified. she kept her feet looking towards the floor, afraid of looking at the skeletons. Finally, she reached the center of the structure and found herself in a vast room. Thousands of sarcophagi jutted from the walls. At the center of this room was an altar. Fay looked around, wondering where the voice had come from.

The other girl remained silent, through, light years away, the breathing of her supine body began to quicken.

The door behind them shut. Fay was shaking now and she drew Pride of Anghor, looking for an enemy.
Red lightning began to fly from the sarcophagi and met at the center, where the altar was. It formed a humanoid figure and when it came into being, Fay's eyes widened with dread. It was someone she had never met, but knew very well.
"No...No...NO! You're dead!" Fay cried, tears beginning to drip from her eyes. Pride of Anghor was pointed at him, but it was shaking in the most clumsy manner.
Romulus smiled. "On the contrary dear. I'm very much alive." The Betrayer's jet black hair and beard had started to give way to grey, but he was still very frightening for a young girl to behold.

"Fay!" The spell keeping her invisible slipped, and the other girl appeared, reaching out toward her friend and pseudo-cousin, looking as frightened as she was, though on her behalf.

On top of being afraid, Fay was also confused on top of it all. How was her uncle alive? Why was Winnie here? "What's going on? How are you even here?" Fay asked. The question was both directed at Romulus and her close friend.
"Ah, and young Winnie. Nice of you to show yourself after following my niece here in an astral form." the Betrayer said, sounding amused.

"And what do you know of me, Betrayer?" she asked in a low voice, arms folded against her chest as she moved to stand in front of Phaedra. "Why did you call her here?"
