Umu was padding about the sands of the Bahari'mtoto late that evening. The moon had pulled out the tide, exposing much more sand than she had seen previously by the oceans edge and she was enjoying it. The wet sand and the remaining puddles, as well as the creatures that were still scuttling about despite the water being gone. Finding a crab, Umu gently nudged it with her nose, making sure not to allow its claws to get ahold of her, a mistake she had made once previously.
"Hello little friend. Don't you need the water?" She asked, poking it once again before letting it scuttle away and deciding to follow after it.
Padding along the beaches, leaving ashes where there had once been sand, was Fleance. He was along the shore to visit his sister, Pele, and her mate, Juuku. It wasn't a trip he made often, but he decided to stop by to bring them news of their new nephews. Newphews! The god was in good spirits as the sand still held warmth from the sun earlier in the day, and the water that occasionally lapped at his feet was refreshing, especially from his time in the swamp where he was perpetually coated with mud. From a distance he saw a figure, slight of stature and possibly of the female form.
His ears perked forward with interest, and he made his way towards her.
Umu had heard Fleance before she had seen him. The water left over on the sands gave away his pitter-pattering and she turned her head towards the noise. The moonlight had shown behind him only giving off his silhouette, but it was enough for Umu to judge that whoever was before her was not a normal lion by any means. They were far bigger than the average lion, even on the larger male scale, and there was something akin to wings that she could see. It was a God and she was sure of it, having met and made one into a friend.
Deciding to pipe up, just incase the God was friendly, she called to it with a smile, "Hello? Who's there?"
Perhaps they would know her friend Kimo and Kimo's father, Fleance. She had not seen them in some time, not since she joined the Bahari'mtoto and left her life in the Rogue Lands behind.
