There was a definite chill in the air as winter began it's swift approach. The leaves were beginning to turn, albeit not quickly, and there was a fresh n** to the air that the dark coated wolf was not quite used to. It was, in a sense, refreshing. And also a warning of the tough times to come. She was not worried, though, not now that she had a pack to thrive with. The young were growing swiftly, far faster than she had anticipated, though she had never raised her own and had only taken a random guess at how quickly such tiny, thinly pelted, squalling pups would grow.
She admired them from afar as she worked on her crafting duties. Part of her wanted to take a more active role in showing them what it was she died, but the other part of her feared them. She was afraid of hurting them in some way or another, as if her own presence was dangerous, despite knowing better than that.
She busied herself with organizing the items she had procured over the season, arranging them in neat and systematic piles within the hollowed log that she used for storing her crafting supplies. How quickly the pups grew and how she wanted to make things for them, when time and conditions permitted. There were still more items she needed to swipe and more birds to hunt. They would become scarce when the snows came, that much she could guess at.

In passing by, his head cricked downwards and his tail between his legs, Tui failed to notice anything. But once he'd made it several paces away, and the fear burbled back down to a simmer, he thought he noticed...a certain lack of vitriol, in that dark Sister's demeanor. The idea was so outlandish, and so oddly comforting, that he found himself turning back around, against his better instincts.
His heart lurched as he realized what he wanted to do, his mind serving up an admirable stream of images concerning the outcome of just walking up and initiating contact with an Amazon, but he went ahead and did it anyway, probably fueled by something more obtuse than bravery. Meek and unassuming, he propelled his gangly limbs back towards the working she-wolf, tucked his head low but stretched out his nose in curiosity. What did this have to do with being a Sister? With the exception of the nanny, he'd thought they were all tough, warrior-types, but this? This looked artsy.

She almost didn't notice him at first. She was so absorbed in her own duties and he was so unobtrusive, that she could have easily continued on without an inkling of the male being near. It was when he slowly began to make his way towards her, however, that his light pelt caught her dark eyes and she glanced up slightly. For a moment, she was slightly confused by his demeanor. Even for a male, he seemed so... So... Self-depreciating, in a way.
And it was at that thought, she realized, that she was becoming more like the Sisters of the pack, albeit in just a small way. Slowly, that way of thinking seemed to be seeping into her still malleable, yet slightly out of sorts mind. She visibly shook off her train of thought and offered the servant a slight smile and brief nod. She wasn't really sure what he wanted and was almost hesitant to ask, as if it was some sort of taboo. Not that there was anything wrong with speaking to the servants... Right? She had spoken with Iosef and he had been quite helpful in giving her information.
"Hello~ Hello~ What is it? What is it that you are doing, hm?" As she spoke it, she realized that perhaps her question was what he was thinking. There seemed to be an air of curiosity around him, though he had yet to speak. She blinked, slightly puzzled and stepped back from her assortment of items, to allow him a better look if he wished it.

Catching the little glance of recognition he was angling for, Tui gave a wobbly smile, still cringing within her personal space as if Beelu were the Queen herself. Unfortunately for both of them, he did not have a lot of scripts for how to go about chatting with strangers, so his attempt to meet someone new was laden with a fledgling gracelessness. "Oh, I'm sorry, I..." he leaned, with apparent embarrassment, into the space she provided him, "I just s-saw you had...some things out...and I got curious." He looked woeful for a second, aware of but unable to mitigate the low-grade disaster of his communication. "Things like the Sisters decorate with," he added quietly, apparently too cowed by her to ask any sort of question.

She cocked her head slightly, hardly put off by his speech. His manner was awkward and ungainly manner reminded her of herself, in a way. She wasn't quite sure just what to do or to say, really, and found herself grasping for straws at just what to do. "Not sorry."
So, she let him look and listened to him closely.
"I am having lots of things. Lots and lots, all right here." She nodded her head slightly, as if to show off her little hoard of items. She was, oddly enough, very proud of them. It felt like a contribution, albeit not one that displayed her prowess as a hunter or fighter, as she lacked in bot of those departments. But she was a sneaky and sly enough around man to steal from them. She earned her worth in one way, as she couldn't in another.
"I get things. Going and getting, sneaking. I put things together. Like the decorate. Like the... Like the headdresses. And the necklaces. I get things."

Beelu's own clumsiness with speaking - though hers sounded much like a language barrier, whereas his was purely personality-based - had an oddly settling effect on Tui. Knowing that he wasn't the only one involved who had issues talking freed him up to have less of those issues. He listened, his eyes poring over her stash of trinkets and raw materials, first impressed at the breadth of her supply and then astounded that she'd acquired some of it through stealing. His big eyes flicked momentarily to her face, as if he were trying to see evidence of such bravery in the topography of her expression. "Who do you get them from?" he asked, his eyes turning back to the ordered jumble before them.

She was obviously pleased that someone took interest in what she was doing, even if it was a servant, not that she paid much attention to the fact that one sex was supposed to be dominant over the other. She doubted she would ever fully understand that concept and merely shrugged it off. She did seem happy to give him more room to observe and gladly flicked through the assorted piles, showing off different trinkets.
"Sometimes finding, sometimes taking. Sometimes finding and taking... From man." She grinned broadly and her tail wagged lightly as she professed just what she did. She had little desire to bring any of her fellow pack members with her to see just how she performed when scoping out items to take and she was quite glad that, while she did have difficulty behaving quite like a wolf, she was rather good at imitating a dog, thanks to the first several seasons she spent in such company, under ownership of man. She was also thankful that she still possessed her collar, although it could be quite annoying. It made slinking around a human settlement not quite as difficult, as most would just assume she had strayed from her human.
