“Fee.”
Fiona turned her head at the sound of someone calling her name. She smiled slightly when she saw that it was just her brother wearing the goofy grin of his that tells her he’s been up to no good. “Peter,” she replied pushing her chair back, away from the vanity where she was doing her makeup. “What are you doing here? I thought you’d still be working,” she commented pushing some stray hair back behind her ear.
“I got off early and wanted to know if you maybe wanted to go see that new horror film with me,” he replied folding his arms across his chest as he leaned slightly on his sister’s door frame. “Y’know the one by that Shamallama guy? I hear it’s pretty scary,” he told her grinning.
“You mean Devil?” She asked copying his motions by folding her arms over her chest. She shook her head. “Nah, already seen it,” she told him with a small shrug. “I wasn’t scared at all,” she commented dryly moving over to her bed and sitting down.
Peter sighed dramatically and sauntered over to her bed. He frowned at her before throwing himself on her bed beside her. “Fiiiiionaaaaaaaa,” he whined rolling around on her bed. “You never want to go to the movies with me, you always say, ‘Oh I’ve already seen it’ or ‘no it looks dumb’. Do you hate spending time with me now?” He asked laying on his side, propping his face up with his hand. He was pouting at her.
Fiona frowned and pushed her brother’s face back so he fell onto his bed. “Be quiet,” she retorted twisting around so she was facing him on the bed. “You know that’s not true,” she stated leaning forward. “We’re always doing stuff together. We play tennis together all the time,” she pointed out placing a hand on his cheek.
“It’s not the same, you’re always going out to movies with, with those guys,” he whined grabbing her hand and pulling it from his face. “I don’t like the idea of you being alone in a dark theater with some guy who’s probably going to try to feel you up,” Peter muttered.
“That’s what this is about? Seriously Peter?” Fiona ripped her hand from his and glared at him. “I’m nineteen Peter, nineteen. I’m old enough to go on dates without my overprotective brother freaking out over it,” she told him pointedly folding her arms over her chest once again. “Jesus, you’re never going to get over this are you?” She shouted standing up and heading over to her door. “If this is what we’re going to talk about I’m going to have to ask you to go.”
Peter’s jaw dropped as he quickly sat up. “Come on Fee, don’t be like that,” he pleaded getting up and walking over to her. He pulled her into a hug, hugging her from the side because she refused to hug him back. She struggled against him for a minute but he was stronger than she was and he held her tight. “You know I’m just looking our for you,” he told her patting her head. “I really do miss hanging out with you, besides tennis. So pleeeeeeease go to a movie tonight with me?” He pulled away just enough to see her expression.
The redhead sighed fake glaring at him. “Fine, we can go this time but you really need to stop being so over protective,” she told him shaking her head. “We’re seeing Easy A though, no if, ands or buts about it,” she ordered.
Peter grinned letting her go and shoving his hands in his pockets. “Whatever you want Fee.”
“Good, that’s how it should be,” she retorted grinning at her sibling broadly before exiting her room.
