Sadiki had needed a break from the pride, from the constant chattering of Bubu, and the constant racket that cubs seemed willing to provide. Four sons, four little boys Bubu had given him, and they either seemed to be cursed with Bubu's quirks or just outright boisterous. For a first time father, it was a bit overwhelming.
He figured he would take a little walk. A nice little uneventful walk. Sadiki watched the sky as he strolled along, feeling rather complacent and completely at ease.
Well, that was the case until he nearly stumbled upon a vividly hued leopardess. He spared her a collision only because he'd heard her mumble to herself, Sadiki wasn't sure exactly what she said but he was beginning to think that the curse of the sight was contagious to those who dared wander too close to his pridelands.
