Faction/Race Demon, sub-species: Nergal (Pure blood)

Personality: Sharra comes from a very long line of Eldwaithe's, a somewhat private but very ostentatious Nergal family known for their bold luminescence and the whispering cricket's-wing clicks of their decay-laden spines (none of those ghastly tentacles here, darling) . Now whether all the stories concerning the family are true or not, it remains to be seen, as Kyoumen Eldwaithe the Third, the fifth archiver of the family, was known to be a bit of a talespinner. Known to be rather quiet, pompous, and possessed of a rather absurdly spot-on sense of demonic fashion (I mean just look at those pants!), the family now turns to one of it's only remaining pure-blooded scions (the rest have become parasites to other, more mundane members of the family) to uphold that fabulous reputation. Sharra, being one of the last males of a somewhat dwindling family line, has some fairly monstrous expectations to live up to (doesn't everyone?), and likely cares far less than he should about any image he might project back on the remains of his family.

Now mind, this little demon was raised by the last two pure blooded Nergals of his line. His dear and doting aunts...being who and what they were their prime fascination was on pairing him up with some other demon family (preferably another Nergal, you can never have enough of those), and making a proud Nergal-papa out of their adorable little nephew (someday). However, they also made the grave mistake of spoiling him in addition to trying to entangle his genetics with some other wicked lass. Thus, once puberty arrived, the final result was a rather confident bratling that possessed the gall to make his own decisions, instead of following the whims of his matronly elders.

Sharra is usually a chill, good-natured demon with an intense pride in himself and his own accomplishments, as well as a secret stash of opinions on just about everything....from school politics and toe hair to that greasy blob that attained sentience in the cafeteria yesterday. Due to this, he can often seem a touch overbearing and a bit of a know-it-all, which makes him slightly more unpopular than he'd like to think of himself as. Friendly and more than a little flirtatious, he gives everyone at least one chance, before he forms a rather solid opinion, and his first impression of a person is often lasting. Delightful to his friends and pals, he can be utterly scathing and sharp-witted to his enemies and those he simply regards as not worth his time. He likes to be the leader of the gang, but he certainly doesn't have to be, just so long as he's made rank, and people like him. However, be warned, if you aren't one of his closest friends, he may ditch you in a crisis to save his own skin...unless he stands to get something out of it.

An intelligent lad, he tends to catch subtleties and nuances of conversation, but due to his love of examining detail, he often misses the most obvious of solutions to things. This, naturally has had some effect on his pursuits, studies and friendships up until this point. Mind, they were already somewhat stunted by his being cloistered off and mothered to death by his doting relatives. We're working on that.

Why did they enroll at the academy? Well, there are several reasons:
- To get away from the eternal match-making of his spinster aunts
- To become popular of his own accord (he's quite confident in this), and maybe find a little lovin'
- To show off (He is 16 after all)
- To enhance his abilities in battle and knowledge in general

Fear: Underworld Decay; Those acidic-looking spines aren't there for nothing! Mustering his power, Sharra can form his spines into weapons that imbue a certain element of decay, causing sickly green fog to waft off of his spines for a few seconds that will weaken his opponent's attacks. At best it will cause minor decay damage and last for the duration of the battle...at worst it will also effect the wielder, decaying some of his spines temporarily and weakening his onslaught in turn. However, he can still use the weapons, much in the same way as those fearsome claws of his. As of now, he can only form a rather ferocious-looking rapier.

Natural Ability: Deceit; All Nergals have the ability to hide (most) of their form. This can make them seem like 'easy targets'. Sharra is still working on perfecting his skill in this area, and usually, at the very least, his left arm remains mute (and ever-shifting) testimony as to the nature of his true form.

"Hmmm..." Lunchlady considered the new form of the Acceptance Bin in a tense silence. The Bin jittered a little, feeling a little self-conscious. "What about..." the Bin leaned forward, eager to please the glorious Ginger. "Another spine, right about..." A large, meaty hand poked a finger at the center of her forehead, "Right here?"

The Bin readily complied, the other spines it had grown quivering happily.

"Oh, oh my! Yer jus' like a proper unicorn now. Now won't that Alabaster be jealous?" She patted the Bin, "And none of that sparkle-sparkle rainbow bizness about ya either, not for my good Bin!"
